Nestled in the peace and quiet of Hexham, Millers Coach House is a quirky holiday home with style in abundance. Originally a coaching inn, this one-bedroom annexe has gorgeous interiors throughout. The perfect getaway for two, Millers Coach House provides a fantastic base when staying in Northumberland. You can head to Hadrian’s Wall and explore the Northumberland National Park or explore the historic Hexham Abbey. Whatever you choose to do, you’ll be left with plenty of memories to treasure.

The Space:
Millers Coach House has a bright and welcoming open plan living area. With a high ceiling and spotlights, there is a modern, chic feel to this converted traditional property. Ideal for two, the living area includes a comfortable sofa, flat screen TV and electric fireplace. Enjoy your meals with your loved one at the dining area which includes a round table and two chairs.

The galley kitchen has everything you could need to prepare meals including an a hologen hob, toaster, kettle, microwave/grill combination, and refrigerator.

Head upstairs to the bedroom and you’ll notice the same stunning style flow to this space. The twin single beds feature plush bedding and premium bed linens to ensure you have a great night’s sleep.

A private courtyard with outdoor seating is also available where you can eat alfresco style if you’d prefer. This area can accommodate bike storage, while an outdoor tap is also available.

Back inside and you’ll find the bathroom. Modern and clean, the space has a walk-in power shower, WC and wash basin.

A welcome hamper is provided for guests upon arrival at Millers Coach House.

The keys to Millers Coach House are accessed via a key safe box, and full details will be provided prior to check in.

Free on-street parking is available nearby on a first come, first served basis.

A double sofa bed can be made up at Millers Coach House upon request prior to your arrival, increasing the occupancy to four.

Hexham, a market town in Northumberland, exudes a charming blend of history, natural beauty and community spirit. Nestled along the banks of the River Tyne, Hexham boasts a rich heritage dating back to Roman times, with the impressive Hexham Abbey standing as a testament to its medieval past. This 7th-century abbey, an architectural gem, is renowned for its stunning Norman architecture and serves as a focal point for both locals and visitors.

The town's market square, framed by historic buildings and lined with independent shops, adds to Hexham's picturesque allure. The traditional market, held weekly, is a vibrant affair where locals gather to trade fresh produce, artisanal crafts, and antiques. The surrounding streets are filled with cafes and eateries, providing a perfect setting to savour a cup of tea or indulge in local delicacies.

Getting Around:
From Hexham Railway Station, you'll find direct access to Carlisle, Newcastle, Sunderland, Hartlepool, Middlesbrough, Whitby and the Metrocentre.

A number of bus routes can be found in Hexham. Hop on the 10 to visit Newcastle, Prudhoe and the Metrocentre, take a ride on the 685 to see the sights of Brampton and Carlisle, or board the 689 to travel to Consett.

The closest airport is Newcastle International, 20 miles away from Hexham.

Què li ha agradat: Neteja
A clean and caringly furnished property that made good use of the small space. Well equipped, given the limited cooking facilities. Brochures and maps of the area were much appreciated. The front door opens straight onto the street and in the daytime this is quite busy. It quietens at night though. An electric fan would be a welcome piece of equipment.
