  • Two blocks from the ❤︎ of charming Main St. Warrenton sits an unusually shaped barn. Octagonal living at its finest; The Seed House is fully renovated and features modern amenities like wifi, coffee, tea, kitchen basics, 100% cotton linens, smart TV, games, and yoga gear. The barn is nestled at the tree line, bordered by a huge lawn + gardens. Your stay will be relaxing and private and leave you with a special sense of place.

    The Seed House is renovated in a rustic Americana farmhouse style. Its unique octagonal shape is derived from eight former seed bays that fan out around the central silo. Most of the space is comprised of contiguous living areas for dining, lounging, yoga, board games, TV, or however you want to spend your time indoors! There is an adorable octagonal kitchen in the center silo stocked with all the basics. The 2 bedrooms are at the back of the space with an adjacent bathroom that is accessible from the main living area. There is also a queen sofa-bed and single day bed in the main living area.

    We have a small covered deck out front, a fire pit around the side, and a huge lawn to stretch out on; all great spots to sip on your favorite beverages, read a book, steal a wink, or whatever you do to relax. There is also a historic, renovated cotton gin building on the property which is available for wedding and event rentals! www.theoldcottongin.com

Seed house in the woods

Nice place. Very cute Lee decorated. Great atmosphere. We had a fox greet us one night a little bit off the beaten path. George’s restaurant was quite good.

Perfect place for a getaway!

Stayed here for a quiet getaway to write. Perfect spot for a walk downtown and see the other beautiful homes. Choices of great places to eat nearby. The Seed House was spacious, quaint and perfect for our needs. The hosts are fantastic and helpful!

This is the second time we stayed at the property. Every time we come into the area, we check for availability here because it's the perfect place and has everything we need! The owners are very friendly, communication is awesome, and the home itself is amazing! We will continue to book this place as often as we can!

Loved this unique home!

Unique property with thoughtful touches throughout the home. My kids loved the whimsical garden pieces! Our dog loved running in the spacious yard and hanging with us by the fire pit at night. The house is very tastefully designed and we had everything we needed during our stay. Walked to the downtown area and enjoyed the restaurants and all the historical buildings. The owners were always available and responsive. Thanks for a great getaway!

Great place for infants/toddlers!

Our family of 6 had a great time! We have 4 kids under 8 and it was great for the two youngest. We didn't have to worry about the baby going up or down any stairs inside the house. The house is awesome, great octagon layout. Upon check-in out, we even got a tour of the property and a bit of history. Awesome time! We'll be back.

The Sweet Seed House

We couldn't have been happier with our stay at the Seed House. It was perfect! This quaint property is set off of the street and offers all the little touches to make it feel just like home. The home was extremely clean, pet friendly (even tho we didn't get to take our pup this time) and offers great accommodation for a couples' getaway or a family trip - the lake is an easy 25 minutes away. There are also lots of historical areas around, for anyone interested. The owner was always available and quick with responses. We did not have a single problem while there, but he checked in to make sure we were ok and didn't need anything. If you want a clean, cozy spot to stay, you will not go wrong with the Seed House.

Much more than expected!!!

My friend and I needed a place to stay for a fishing tournament on Lake Gaston. Everywhere close to the lake was either WAY too expensive, unavailable, or in a terrible area. I came across this place on VRBO and it was perfect! The pricing, the area, the availability, and the fact we could not only park both of our trucks and boat, but charge the boat as well were the immediate perks. Once we opened the door to the home, we found everything we needed and more! The only thing we had to do was drive a couple miles away to the grocery store for food. We have this tournament every year. We will definitely be staying here again!!!

Fishing Trip at The Seedhouse

What a FANTASTIC place!! Scott was more than accommodating, has a wonderful property, and communication was a breeze!! An old Army friend and I were on a fishing trip to Kerr Reservoir, and this was the perfect place for two old Soldiers looking for some solitude after long days on the lake. We shall return!!

Loved the Cotton Gin

Loved our stay at the Cotton Gin House. Everything you need is there! Easy check in & check out. Scott was on top of it making sure everything was alright with our stay. Hopefully can return again sometime!
