Perfectly situated right on Main Street in the heart of downtown Helen, this one-bedroom cottage at the Upcountry Inn provides a front-row seat to outdoor adventure. Stroll a few blocks to the Chattahoochee River, charming shops and restaurants, and the longest-running Oktoberfest in the United States.

Nora Mill is a standalone cottage on the grounds of the Upcountry Inn, ideally located half a mile from Helen's Oktoberfest each September and October. In this picturesque Bavaria-inspired town, you'll be within walking distance of the river, trails, tubing adventures, great dining and shopping, mini-golf, and so much more. Unicoi State Park and Lake are only two miles north as well, where you can spend the summer paddleboarding, swimming, and fishing.

Through the storybook red door is a living space that's wonderfully modern and comfortable. Begin each morning by preparing breakfast in the well-equipped kitchen, and share stacks of pancakes at the dining room table to prepare for a day full of fun. In the evenings, unwind in central AC, stream movies on the living room's smart TV, and log onto the complimentary WiFi to catch up on email or share a few photos.

There is no cable, but streaming services for the smart TV are available with guests' own account credentials.
There is no washer/dryer.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

This was right next door to Betty’s Country Store which I frequented. The house was excellent. Walking distance to downtown.

We arrived at the property. It was terribly misrepresented from the beginning. The location and condtion of the place was unacceptable. After making an exhausting effort to try for another place, have a refund, or simply move into another space that would be more suitably they were unwilling to assist us at all. I finally just left after being told they could do nothing. We returned home the same day because we were so tired and disappointed. Nevwr again!!

Great stand alone property. Clean and the interior is well appointed. Nice tall/large shower. Kids loved the bunkbeds. Highly recommend!

We enjoyed our stay and loved that it was walking distance from town and all the shops and restaurants. I would recommend to anyone with littles, as they enjoyed the bunk beds.

Easy to find and a fantastic place to stay. Perfect for two adults and two children. The kids loved the bunk beds. Easy walk to everything. Loved having Betty's groceries right next door.

From the cozy location, to the beautiful interior, Nora Mill was the perfect place for us during this adventure in Georgia. Very clean, well lit, comfortably furnished, and reasonably priced, if we ever come back to Helen we won’t be looking to stay anywhere other than here!!

This is a newer property and recently redecorated! It was well done and easy to maneuver. Plenty of towels and most everything was clean with the exception of the pullout sofa bed. We found money (bonus) kids hair rubber bands, sunglasses…Needless to say we did not use it. I attempted to reach the property owners or management company and was not able to find email or texts since I had pics, I wanted to make sure they saw that housekeeping needed to do a little better. Other than that the property was just fine hat we needed! We went to Betty’s store daily for coffee and a Diet Coke in glass bottle! A few things we took note of to make this propoerty a little more enjoyable since we stay at many Properties , 1. We need hooks in the back of the door to hang wet towels or reinforce the shower curtain to withstand the weight of a towel 2. There is no remote (that we could find) to adjust volume of the tv however there was a small button on the back of the tv but a remote would be easier. 3. We need instructions on the ceiling fans… we believe there is a separate on/off switch but they only worked 1/2 the time. 4. The front door needs blinds. Although there is not a lot of foot traffic in front of the house, we felt very exposed at night and linked a sheet over the front door. Not trying to be picky just thought these were a few ideas, others might benefit from. We would DEFINITELY stay here again!!!
