This rental is located within a renovated 19th-century Mercantile building in Jim Thorpe. The interior space has been updated to provide modern amenities. It features a color-changing built-in fireplace with shiplap walls, while preserving the historic structural elements of the original architecture.

Immerse yourself in surround sound throughout the space with Sonos speakers. Download the app and select a favorite playlist. A 43 inch Ultra HD Smart Roku TV streaming Netflix and other features for relaxing fireside in the leather recliner. This space offers a washer and dryer as well as a deck and BBQ.

The Glen Onoko Getaway is on the quiet East Side of Jim Thorpe, only about one mile from the scenic train station and historic downtown. This unit is located on the ground floor with easy access to off - street parking.

Què hi ha als voltants

  • This is one of my favorite hiking trails! It consists of 3 big waterfalls as you ascend to the top. Be cautious though you need real hiking boots to hike the trail. It’s extremely slippery because of the waterfalls and we went on a day where it rained so it was even worse. Most people make their way up the side of the waterfalls, which involves a lot of climbing on rocks and using your hands. It gets very crowded so we went up the "flatter" trail most people use to go down, which made for a really good work out, and started from the top waterfall and made our way down. This is not a kid friendly place. The trail is dangerous and difficult. There were warning signs everywhere saying to wear the correct shoes and that people have died here, but there were so many people there with their small children who were having lots of trouble climbing and so many people with flip flops. Also no one here had any hiking etiquette about letting others pass. Regardless, this is one of my favorite trails.

This is a great apartment on the quiet side of town, a twenty minute walk from the start of downtown shopping. It had everything we needed, including a basket of welcome snacks and water. It was handy to be able to walk and leave our car at the apartment as parking downtown can be tricky if it's a holiday weekend and the scenic train is running. The host is a very responsive and good communicator and helped us with restaurant recommendations. We will stay here again the next time we visit Jim Thorpe.

Great stay, great location

We needed a place to call home base while exploring Jim Thorpe and the Lehigh River Gorge. We also needed someplace quiet to work, just in case. This was a great choice for both. Walkable into town, or just a super short ride. Comfortable and all the needs for two people. Close to the rail trail, could walk the short-ish walk into Jim Thorpe town, either via the street or the rail trail. Close to hiking (we did bald mountain) and biking paths. We explored wineries and breweries and the many delish recommendation from our host. Dee and Mark were wonderful hosts. Can’t wait to return and explore more.

Perfect

Multiple reasons why someone should choose here to stay. -Jim Thorpe is a very popular place which means day visitors come from everywhere and there isnt any parking anywhere. The location of this stay was perfect. It was close enough to walk to the main street of Jim thorpe, which means you dont have to worry about parking and you get to see the amazing view along the walk. -You cant beat the price. Places at Jim thorpe actually cost even more then this place. -Dee keeps this place in top shape. Its clean, comfortable and aesthetically pleasing to the eye. She left litte treats around and hand written notes. I felt so welcomed. -I felt safe most importantly, it was surrounded by a neighborhood of ederly and families. I dont think anyone would regret this choice of stay! Thanks! lolocation of this

Everything we could possibly need/want was provided! Really cute and comfortable place. Bed is a little too high - was hard getting in/out of it. Disappointing there's no window to open except for the bathroom, but not a deal breaker.
