"Very nice accommodations. The kitchen had everything we needed for a nice weekend. The arcade was nice. We didn’t eat in the restaurant, but that looked nice as well. "This is a historical hotel and indeed the history is fabulous, everything appears like it did in 1773. Trouble is the rooms are also like this and the beds felt like they were 200 years old - so very uncomfortable. All part of the experience. Our room faced the street and I was surprised how much traffic noise kept me up until late at night, next time I will request a room facing inward. Not enough staff at the bar and dining during peak weekends, took forever just to get a cup of hot chocolate...

"This charming hotel was one of our better stays. We enjoyed the room, the open areas and breakfast. This is a historic style hotel with beautiful, older wood floors and doors, narrow stairs, and small windows - all charming and the bathroom, while small, had the best shower. The staff was very helpful and fixed a check-in snafu quickly. Parking is at a premium, especially in the mornings but there is an overflow lot adjacent to the house. Loved our stay!"

"My five star rating is based on the rental being an exceptional value at the rate I paid (the rate I found on Expedia). Our suite was a plain but super comfortable one bedroom apartment with full kitchen and living area, plenty of storage space. The location is extremely convenient, and it was very clean. "
