This spacious single story villa 1700 square feet, is the ideal base for families and golfing enthusiasts who want to make the most of their Florida vacation in comfort and security. The Southern Dunes Golf & Country Club has its own facilities and there are restaurants and easy shopping a short walk away. Just added TopTracer Bays along with outdoor dining . A short drive will take you to the Disney theme parks, Universal Studios and Sea World and you are also ideally located for such coastal resorts as Clearwater, Maderia Beach, Cape Canaveral ,Daytona while the Florida keys are 4 hours away. You are located right in the middle of everything. Haines City is Called the Heart of Florida!

There are literally dozens of fine restaurants within 20 minutes of our Villa, from Italian to French, American to Italian to Japanese to Australian, a Special treat is Mannys Chop House just around the corner ( you can walk there and back , they have just added an addition!! 4p.m. to 7 p.m. is 2 for 1 drinks and a special menu from 4-6pm). The Golden Coral have two restaurants within 20 minutes, always good value for your money. Sonny's BBQ is very close by.

Fantastic location

The house was perfect for our family vacation. Centrally located to everything. The kitchen was beyond fully equipped with items. Pool, hot tub and Pool table provided endless hours of entertainment for our kids. Owner and management company are extremely accessible when needed. We would highly recommend this house and will definitely be back!!

Would never rent it again

We arrived maintenance man was there fixing lights? We had to wait for him to leave when we first got there open The fridge was filthy. Had to clean that .in the master bedroom empty prescription boxes underneath the bed pull back The sheets were filthy. We had to take them and wash them Stains on them .pool was leaking water hot tub was leaking water had to add water every day light over patio wasn’t working very disappointed in the house paid for pool heat and the pool was very cold rented hoses down there for 20 years. This one was the worst never had a complaint about another house.

Beautiful House

The house was perfect. It matched the description and pictures online. The owners were helpful when contacted and quick to respond. The pool was a great addition that could be used anytime thanks to it being heated. Disney parks were only a 30 min to 45 min drive. Great location. Thanks for helping us make great holiday memories.

Great property

Great property, clean, loved the pool and hot tub. Great communication with management and hosts, easy access to quick groceries or the super Walmart. Definitely will book again if available when we go back to Florida ! Loved watching the golfers and chatting with a few as well! Great community!

Property exactly as described and exceeded expectations

We almost didn’t book this house as there were only 2 of us travelling and we didn’t need the extra space. The description and pictures of the kitchen and large pool area sold us on it and we were not let down. The kitchen area was large enough to move around and prepare a meal and every imaginable appliance or amenity was available. Sadly we were only there a week so didn’t have opportunity to take advantage of all the homes offerings. The large pool deck area and hot tub were an added treat. The home location is ideal - Close to everything but far enough away from the commotion that comes With most Florida vacations - and yes you can walk to the grocery store or Walmart with little ease. We did have one question arise upon arrival despite Thinking I was contacting the management company I got an almost immediate reply from the home owner several states away. It was very much appreciated that they also contacted us with concerns regarding the impending weather - we are hopeful that hurricane Milton did not cause extensive damage to the property despite multiple days with no electricity. I’m sure there is much more I should mention in a review that I’ve overlooked - perhaps it is easiest to say that we would definitely recommend this property and have discussed the possibility of a return in 2025.

Lovely, cosy house, perfect for our holiday.

We were really pleased with the house and the layout was great. First time that there has ever been enough coat hangers and the safe was a bonus too. We would have barbecued more if we were allowed to do this by the pool, as opposed to having to cook on the drive or by the front door. We have stayed in a number of villas before and have never had to this. We also noticed that other residents did not abide by this rule. Otherwise a great holiday in a lovely house which would not hesitate to book again.

First trip to Haines City

This place was absolutely perfect for our family. Our teenagers each had their own bedroom and bathroom so it eliminated potential conflicts! I was also very impressed with the cleanliness of the entire unit. The pool and games room provided us with lots of entertainment during our stay. We also enjoyed the restaurant and driving range at the neighboring golf course.

Southern Dunes 1527 Gulf Vue

The house suited our needs and the layout was great with two master suites. Watch out for golf balls we picked up a dozen that hit hte home during our stay. Please the property manager know of any needed repairs during your stay at any VRBO homes. Wonderful vacation

Relaxing trip with family

Nice stay

We stayed for 17 nights in January. Southern Dunes is a very nice community to stay, the golf course is very well maintained and beautiful. The house was spacious with some upgrades. We appreciated the spaciousness of the pool deck. The kitchen is well stocked with many small appliances. Was nice to have a gas grill available for use. The keypad on the door stopped working, maintenance was dispatched and replaced batteries but that did not resolve the issue so they gave us a key. It was a little unsettling not knowing who else had a key. One of the produce drawers in the refrigerator was inoperable and there was nothing they could do to remedy. No window in living area, dark furniture, dated dark shag carpet in bedrooms all make a dreary environment. This home is fine for a short 1 week stay.

The home was nice. The hot tub was broke. The house was well equipped with everything you need and the BBQ grill was replaced and then worked great! The pool was nice and warm! They need a new couch & chair both really saggy and uncomfortable.

Great villa and location

Had a great 3 week stay at this lovely villa. Very spacious and clean. Southern Dunes is one of our favourite places to stay and in a great location for nearby eating/shopping and fairly close to parks (though I would recommend using 192 as I4 was constantly slow moving!) 10/10 or 5 stars!

Lovely villa in great location

We’ve stayed on Southern Dunes several times and it’s a great place. First time staying in this villa and it had everything we could ask for. The whole process has been straightforward; great communication from owner and management company, well equipped and clean villa. We hope to visit again soon!

Great location

We were visiting to check out central FL as we may possibly be moving there. This home is in the perfect location! It’s 20-30 mins to Disney, 30-40 to Lakeland, 1.5 to Daytona, 2 to Crystal River. It was very easy to get to everything we wanted to see. When you leave the development there is a Walmart right there. It is in a gated community which is an added plus. The home itself is situated towards the back of the community on a super quiet street. The villa is large and well decorated. The pool and hot tub were very nice as well as the games in the garage. Unfortunately for us the heat index was 100+ so we didn’t spend much time outside but the whole lanai/garage was set up very well. The heat also caused the villa to be hot during the day but that was just the luck of the draw visiting FL in August. The check out instructions where some of the easiest I’ve seen which is a plus when you’re running around making sure everything is packed and neat. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would recommend this villa.

Good base for theme parks and golf

Very comfortable villa. Plenty of space, good equipment in the kitchen and nice, comfortable beds. After a day out, it was nice to get back to the air conditioning in the villa.

Lovely Florida Villa Rental

If you are thinking of renting a Villa for your stay in Florida look no further than this not so little gem. From booking through to arriving and even afterwards the Host was always willing to answer any queries we had. The Villa is located in a quiet gated community and we never heard any other neighbours. All facilities within the Villa are top notch, especially the lovely Pool area. 10/10.

Great Trip

This house was as described. Very clean and well kept. The location gave us quick access to everything we needed and wanted. Being on the golf course was very enjoyable. Our host was responsive to all of our communications. Highly recommend!
