Our stay

Was definitely not what we were expecting or what we had thought we were paying for. The room had an odor, the bed was the worst, tv worked half the time and the ac didnt work well and was very hot at night. The dishwasher didnt work either. We ended up just leaving early.

Lower quality

If you need a beach view this is OKish. Smelled like mold, patched drywall that hadn't been painted, old nasty pots.

Sad vacation accommodation

The place was dirty and furniture was uncomfortable. The fire alarm battery was dead and chirped the entire time. The walls had patched up places but hadn't been repainted. Mold on the shower curtain. The pictures made it look cozy but it was not. The location and pool was the only good part. The adult pool had a dirty black ring around the edge which was gross. The elevator was shoddy and had no air flow. The security gate staff were kind and courteous.

Great view, great place

Very pleased with the accommodations. The unit was clean, the view was great, everyone was helpful and friendly. Love the adult only pool, and the indoor pool and hot tub!

Second time!

We stayed in this exact condo in April. This time the recliner was taken out but not replaced. The couch was even dirtier. The balcony door was broken. It smelt kind of musty I'm assuming from just all the condensation and it not getting cleaned in the vents very good. The sheets and blankets kind of smelled. We paid to wash them ourselves. I messaged the place a couple of times but kept getting the response of "sorry for the wait getting high volumes of messages" type of answer. I read the reviews over the last couple of months and figured they would have replaced the couch and recliner by now but did not. This place definitely HAS TO HAVE an upgrade. Me and my family still had a great time it's just we wish things would have been better this time.

Amazing location but facilities need updating or fixed and cleaned.

Someone walked in our room not long after we checked in. Turns out the code to get into yours he rooms are just opposite of the room number. Stained couch still as had read about but read it had been taken care of but it wasn’t. It smelt of mold and mildew and I had to clean just to be able to stay in the room. And our balcony that I planned to sit and crochet at was off limits because of a note saying not to use the door would fall off. First time ever on vacation that I was more excited to leave than stay. If these things were ever truly fixed, it would be a wonderful location.

Great View…but Needs Improvements

The view was AMAZING! Unfortunately, we were not thrilled with the room though. It needs lots of updates. New paint is needed. You can see black mold near the air vents. The bathroom needs new flooring and shower head. The bedroom closet needs an actual closet bar that you can use and a new bed that’s more comfortable. The pillows were also very flat. The hallway bunk bed has a super thin mattress pad and not an actual mattress. The top bunk has no mattress. The recliner is broken and unusable. The couch needs a cleaning and only seats two. This made it uncomfortable for our family of four to sit together. We ended up pulling the balcony furniture inside to use. The pull out couch bed had no linens. The dining table and stools were the same high, so it was difficult and uncomfortable to use them. The TV was small and continuously froze the first night, so we never even used it again. The Wi-Fi went out during a storm our first day and never worked again. The sliding glass door was impossible to open and came off the track frequently. The screen door was completely broken and leaning against the wall. We had to wash the towels on our dime and had to buy more toilet paper, paper towels and trash bags because not enough was provided. There were a few positives though…we loved the view. The walk to the beach was marvelous! The amenities available were great, but I wish we would have had the information of what the exact amenities were and a map of locations would have been nice.

Hood Vacay 2023

We enjoyed our stay! We did not enjoy the broken chair and stinky couch ( which I reported with Vacasa and I never got that call back from them to let me know how they would handle it. We did not get extra towels we requested nor a call back on that decision either from Vacasa. I was informed I could wash their towels on the property @ my expense. They (Vacasa) felt they left sufficient towels for my party of 3 for my stay. Lastly the main pool was under construction. This was not mentioned in the booking or by Vrbo or Vacasa. Resulting in an overcrowded pool for all guests @ Plantation East.

Great location

We loved being able to walk down the stairs and be so close to the beach. The bed was comfortable. Close to dollar general so we didn’t have to run all the way back to Gulf Shores. The bunk bed was great for my 8 year old. We enjoyed the indoor and outdoor pool and the view from the balcony was wonderful!

Great condo, a few broken things

The condo was clean. It was pretty practice for the price we paid. However the recliner was broken and the dishwasher did not work. The shower head needs fixed it sprays everywhere. We brought our own tv for the bedroom because there isn’t one. The view was so nice and it was the best part of the whole unit. We will definitely be back again!

Gulf Shores Beach

Great location on the beach. End unit with balcony overlooking the gulf. However the property is in Fort Morgan which is about 15 minutes outside of Gulf Shores. Unit is very sparse with no decor and no place to hang towels. There was a small TV which did not pick up local stations very well. Overall we enjoyed our stay here.

Amazing view

It was a quick stay but relaxing. Wish the weather would have cooperated. Upgrade to showerhead and replacement of shower liner is needed. Otherwise great. The view is straight out to the beach, beautiful!❤

Great Location

The White sandy beaches are so clean and beautiful. If you want to come enjoy the sun and have peace and quiet (when we were there, middle of May). Our Condo was perfect size and faced the ocean to breath taking view day and night, during our stay we saw the full moon rise for several nights it lights up the ocean and making walking on the Ocean very sacred. We ran into Orange Beach for a Dolphin excursion once again breath taking. But one hidden gem if the actual "Fort Morgan Museum" we took a picnic then tour everywhere inside the fort. This whole area is a true diamond in the sand to visit. We'll be back. 💕 This vacation

Really enjoyed working with Vacasa, I have rented the VRBO many times but this time I guess Vacasa was involved. Timely communication. The little texts saying glad we got in and ask if everything was ok etc. Will be using them again.

Enjoyed it!

Check in was a breeze. Love the balcony overlooking the beach. Dishes were not cleaned properly before they were put away BUT they did provide pods for the dishwasher and some laundry detergent for clothes. Would stay here again.

Outdated and run down condo. Overpriced

We arrived at late the first night to begin what we thought would be a great vacation. We saw comments about the condo when booking about it be an outdated but no one or pictures described how run down it is. It was 85 degrees when we arrived and even after dropping temp it still did not cool off. Bathroom was disgusting and smelled like fish. The shower curtain was covered with mildew. Floors not clean and dust over ceiling. I’m questioning if this is what the company has temperature set on. We contacted company about air and shower. They did send someone to replace shower curtain. They said they would replace the batteries in thermostat but didn’t. We fought with AC the entire trip. There is mildew on walls and lamp shades. The lamp shade in bedroom was broke but turned to make it appear ok. Ac vents are rusted. We came here after dealing with being out of electricity for 4 days due to Hurricane Laura. This is not what we expected. The two good things about this spot was the clean sheets and view of beach. I’ve sent pictures to the company to show what we stayed in.

Not staying here again.

We got there at 3:30(check in is at 4)our room hadn’t been cleaned at all. Drove 6.5 hours to wait another hour and a half to get into the room. The bathroom light didn’t work had to tape it to make it work. The living room chair was broken, the patio chair was broken. The shower was not good. I would not stay here again.
