Welcome to A Lazy Lagoon, a 4 bedroom, 2 bathroom home, spacious enough to sleep 12 right on Little Lagoon. The sparkling private saltwater pool can be heated in the cooler months(additional fees apply). A Lazy Lagoon boasts beautiful Gulf Views and direct water access to Little Lagoon. Beautiful views and ample indoor and outdoor living space make this desirable home the perfect spot to book your next beach vacation! The owners have provided guests with kayaks to use so you can get out on the water and take in the views! (A waiver must be signed prior to use.) 

About A Lazy Lagoon

Located in Gulf Shores' west beach area, A Lazy Lagoon is perfect for a relaxing, lazy beach getaway! This recently renovated 4 bedroom, 2 bathroom home boasts gorgeous water views all around and chic, coastal decor. Soak up the sun and panoramic water views from the two large sun decks, one facing the lagoon and one facing the gulf, or relax inside the open, airy living space. A Lazy Lagoon offers expansive water views from the floor-to-ceiling windows in both the living space and the kitchen. Preparing a meal is a treat in the open kitchen with high ceilings and a view of the Gulf of Mexico!

At A Lazy Lagoon, each of the bedrooms features a TV. Bedrooms 1 and 2 face the Gulf and boast beautiful Gulf views. Bedroom 1 has a queen-sized bed and bedroom 2 has 2 sets of twin bunk beds with pull-out trundles to sleep 6 and is equipped with a DVD player, perfect for watching a movie. Both bedrooms have access to the gulf-facing deck to enjoy the sounds of the waves and the gentle breezes in the evenings. Bedrooms 3 and 4 face Little Lagoon. Bedroom 3 has a king-sized bed and bedroom 4 has a queen-sized bed and both have access to the lagoon-facing deck to enjoy the sunsets in the evenings. A Lazy Lagoon features 2 full baths with a shower/tub combo.

Outside, enjoy the lagoon living in the expansive backyard. Launch your kayaks or paddleboards right from the bank or bring your fishing gear to catch dinner! Rinse off after a day in the sand in the enclosed outdoor shower under the house. A short walk across the street leads to the shores of the beautiful Gulf of Mexico. Lagoon and Gulf access couldn't be easier at A Lazy Lagoon!

Great family get away!

We had an amazing vacation. This property was more than expected and provided what we needed for our family of four. While the house does appear to be older and could benefit from some basic fixes (duct tape is on floor to fix areas, sliding doors are only entrance so hard to lock) it had everything we needed. The pool was a great bonus as well as a room full of beach toys, pool toys and more! We would definitely recommend this property for your family get away.

great location. pool was awesome for kids. couple paddles were broke for kayaks. one of the sliding doors didn’t open and no toilet paper. place could use a little TLC but was still awesome had a great time and house layout was perfect for us

Lovely spot with many options!

Loved this house. The pool is amazing, though instructions to turn on the heater would have been helpful. Only one paddle for the kayaks, but it was mostly too windy to use them anyway. Was such a lovely and relaxing stay!

Perfect place!

This house had everything we were expecting and exceeded our expectations!! The location was just perfect for our group - with beach access right across the street and the pool overlooking the lagoon, it was just completely ideal. The first couple days it was quite chilly so the heated pool was a life saver!! It was so warm that even when it was in the high 60s, if we were in the water, we were having a blast! The rental company was beyond responsive to any of our questions and needs as well - absolute delights. The layout of the house was perfect for multiple groups of people and entertaining as well! The morning and evening were serene since we were removed from the hustle and bustle. .. yet close enough where if we wanted to go somewhere, it was right down the road. There is a pool closet below the house that was stocked with floats, sand toys, boogie boards and pool toys as well which was an awesome surprise for us!!

Great Vacation

Great rental for our party of 11, including 7 kids between the ages of 3-10. Had everything we needed and more! Kids loved crab hunting and fishing in the lagoon in the morning and hanging at the beach all day. Moms appreciated the private pool to use while the littles were napping. We had a great time.

Overall we enjoyed our stay. The home was clean but has need of some repairs (subfloor is soft by living room slider) and sliding doors are difficult to open. They have plenty of items in the outdoor storage area to use at the beach/pool (umbrella, beach chairs, floats).

We absolutely loved the location of this home. It was on the lagoon, and right across from the beach. The house had plenty of room for our family. It would be nice to have more mirrors throughout the house (there was one in each bathroom), and the pots/pans in the kitchen could be replaced.

A Wonderful Weekend

Great house! Super clean, had everything we needed. Loved the heated pool and the outdoor shower. Location was amazing - away from the business of the Gulf Shores commercial area. Very calm and relaxed.

The house was nice. We had 3 little boys with us. One thing that I noticed the most. The house was quite even when they were up and playing. I went to my room to take a nap and you cound not hear them . The home was very child friendly. That was a huge plus. Loved our family vacation.

Our stay started off a little rough, but we managed to turn it around. When we arrived we found the cleaning company missed a few things. We managed to take care of them our selves. The communication with Harris was spot on! They responded right away. The listing was accurate. We had a wonderful time! Our family enjoyed the house, lagoon and ocean beaches and views. Great family trip but bad check in and not the cleanest

The good news first: A Lazy Lagoon is at an awesome location almost to the end of the peninsula. The beach access is directly across the street and that area of the beach is not as crowded as other areas. The house is nicely decorated with all the cooking supplies you could need. We slept 12 comfortably but keep in mind that 2 were small children. Two bathrooms was tight but we made it work, it’s definitely doable. However...there were very few tpwels and washcloths, especially when the house is advertised as sleeping 12. We had to do laundry every single day so everyone could shower with a towel. Also in the email I received, it said that the fridge might take a few hours to cool everything...more like 24 hours, and the ice maker hardly made any ice. The house was also somewhat dirty when we arrived (hairs in showers, floors dirty in places). It wasn’t filthy, but just wasn’t as clean as you would like a vacation house to be. Our main issue, though, was that we arrived at 4, as directed in the email, and when we opened the lockbox the wrong key was in it (the house key wasn’t there but the shed key was). The shed lockbox would not open at all and it looked damaged, like other tenants had the same problem and dented it trying to open it. When I called Harris Properties, no one answered. Since it was Sunday, I went ahead and called the emergency number listed on the email. On the email it directed me to press 5 on the menu, but when I called the emergency number, it took me back to the office recording and 5 was not an option. We called over and over and left messages and could not reach anyone, so the 12 of us sat on the front porch in the heat with two small kids, which was not a good start to our vacation believe me. Finally a woman called me back and said she was sending a maintenance person. He arrived about 35 min later with a key and we finally got in. You shouldn’t make a big deal of having an emergency number and instruct people only to call it in true emergencies if no one is going to answer. Thank God she called back or I don’t know what we would have done.

Our family enjoyed our stay and did not want to leave! The home was exactly as advertised, actually even better! Roomy and comfortable for 7 of us. Loved the easy beach access across the street! The coastal style of the Lazy Lagoon was absolutely beautiful! The location was perfect for us and away from crowds. We can't wait to come back!

Great beach stay

We loved this property. Location was especially good for our 3&5 year old since we had easy access to the shallow lagoon and the gulf side - best of both worlds. The only thing that could have made it better would have been a dock. We loved using the kayaks. The house was big enough for 6 adults and 2 kids. Beds were comfortable. I like that there were blackout curtains on the sliding glass doors in the bedrooms. The chairs at the big dining table are not comfortable at all. Overall it was a great vacation spot and we will definitely use it again!

Quiet Retreat

A Lazy Lagoon was perfect for a quiet retreat. Our group enjoyed board of directors development with a gorgeous view. It was so peaceful we never turned on the television!!
