Located about 150 yards from a private highway entry gate and set back on one acre, this pristine, vacation rental is ideal for a small family getaway or a romantic escape for two. Offering wide, white and blue ocean views from almost every room, this clean and cozy, modern home will take your breath away the moment you step through the front door. Prepare anything from quick beach snacks to full-course meals in the well-equipped kitchen complete with stainless steel appliances and a breakfast bar. Dine together at the adjacent table for six, watch TV in the living area, or step out onto the furnished deck and breathe in that fresh ocean air.

Located off Highway One, this home offers easy access to local beaches including Anchor Bay Beach, Cooks Beach, and Bowling Ball Beach. Anchor Bay Village is located less than two miles south where you can enjoy great coffee in a cozy setting or sit down to an elegant, four-star dinner at Anchor Bay Thai Kitchen. Gualala Point Regional Park is a little over seven miles from this home where you will find stunning seaside trails, coastal forests, and majestic meadows ready to be explored. The village of Gualala is also only five miles from this home, for grocery stores, restaurants, and sunny skies. Additionally, the towering Point Arena Lighthouse and Museum, the Point Arena-Stornetta Public Lands (appointed as a National Treasure by President Obama), Manchester State Park, and Salt Point State Park are all found within this area of the Central California Coast. And if you're up for a little wine tasting, take scenic hour drive north to the famous Anderson Valley where you'll find over a dozen wineries.

Great Weekend Getaway
Property is very well maintained! It was easy to check in and out and the amenities, rooms, etc. were as described. The views are amazing and it was fun to just chill on the deck and enjoy the birds and surroundings.

Beautiful location & great service!
We truly enjoyed our stay at High Tor Upper house. It was beautifully done and better than expected. Spacious and comfortable with full size kitchen. Spectacular views of ocean. I contacted customer service 3x in advance to ask questions about property, each time they responded quickly and courteous. While listing on some sites ommited coffe maker, they had 2 - a standard drip and coffee press. Full amenities! Only thing missing was grill, but with fire season becoming so serious here in CA, it was understandable and we had no problem with not having grill. We will definitely book another trip here!

Great for family vacation. Rooms and kitchen were clean and loved the overall layout. There were minor spider webs on the lightings and outside the property that might need some attention. Master bedrooms heater was showing e3 error that got resolved aftera power on off try. It gets cold after sunset and the room heaters near the floors as well as the heater vent under kitchen basin was good to have. One thing to note was that the master bedroom's roof skylight blind do not block light well ..hence we became a very early riser by sunrise. Otherwise a very pleasant stay overall .. Recommended!

Problems
Unfortunately, we encountered numerous problems with this property. It began with a call about checking in and could never get through to a living soul. Once we were in we discovered that two TV's., including the main one, were not in working order. Someone came to fix it the next day but the following day it was on the blink again. We could not use the jetted bath tub because the drain would not close and the rubber stopper left to put over the broken drain also did not due the job as it would just float away. The tub was very slippery for showering purposes and with no safety bar which was quite dangerous. There is no Verizon cell service and no land line which is a safety issue. I can say that other than a few dishes, everything was very clean. However, the knives were uselessly dull and there was nothing provided to sharpen them with. I can also say that it was quiet with a nice ocean view. Sadly, because of all the problems, we ended up leaving two days early.

Great Views
Very clean, great location to many beaches and activities. Had some issues with drain in bathroom sinks and finding various heaters. Would have been helpful to point that out and have information on what things are located in the house. Other than that we truly enjoyed ourselves and very nice stay. We were able to meet the owner and super nice guy and wanted us to share. Even sent over a guy the first night to check on heater in master bedroom. The fan kept shutting off and would only run for a few minutes and shut off again. It does need to be fixed, but was no problem, so no complaints on that. We adjusted and just left door open and everything was fine. A lot of upgrades to the property are being done, so on a return trip, will be interesting to watch the changes. Thanks for a wonderful stay and no complaints and would stay there again and will recommend staying there to those who plan on trips to the area. Excellent place at a reasonable price. Feel free to cut a paste the good comments, the other comments are for the owner to fix. :)
