Beautiful Mountain Home Near Yosemite

Cabin, 4 Bedrooms + Convertible beds (4), 3.5 Baths (Sleeps 8-10 people)

Come play or relax in this large and beautifully-decorated home. House is located on a private street with lots of trees, sitting on the 4th fairway of the golf course, and less than 1 mile from the Country Club. This 3600 hundred square-foot home is located in Pine Mountain Lake, a gated community.
All bedrooms are supplied with bed warming mattress pads which are wonderful in the winter on very cold nights.

The gourmet kitchen is completely stocked with all amenities and opens into the Great Room with a sit down bar.

Within the gates you can golf, horse back ride, swim, paddle boat or fish. The marina has a very large sandy beach with volleyball, boating and snack shack.

The town of Groveland provides all the necessary amenities - grocery store, restaurants, and shops. This house is a great base doe many day trips as: Yosemite, Lake Don Pedro, Columbia State Park, Tuolumne Meadows and Gold Country mining towns such as James Town and Sonora, where there are lots of shops and restaurants.
Yosemite and HetchHetchy have many hiking and biking trails.

In the winter skiing is available at either Dodge Ridge (about 1 hour drive), Bear Valley ( around a 2 hour drive) or Badger Pass ski located in Yosemite Park (around 2 hours) The outdoor ice skating rink in Yosemite is great fun as well.

Nice property in a great location.Pros: very nice cabin, newly remodeled, huge kitchen, lots of space, anything you can possibly need is there. The kids loved the air hockey and the foosball, although the former is a bit beaten up. We loved our stay.Cons: 50 entrance fee per car. Not a huge deal, but would be nice to know that before reserving. Internet is very slow (DSL). We had to resort to our own hotspot to be able to reliably stream movies. The mattress in the master bedroom is a bit beaten up and not very comfortable.Overall we loved our stay and we would definitely consider going back.

The house was beautiful and spacious and had a very open feel to the outside. Rooms were well appointed and large for alone time, if needed. The kitchen was very well stocked and it was easy to prepare a Thanksgiving Day meal with double oven and all the available kitchen items. Perfect for our group of 10 and we'd definitely stay again.

Perfect house for a large family or group of friends. Very spacious house, great kitchen and living room with the most comfortable sofa, 2 master bedrooms and 2 bedrooms of very decent size. We walk to Dunn's beach every morning for an early morning swim, the beach is 30 min walk or 4 min by car. Great location, great everything.

The outside is showing some age. Everything was great on the interior. We love the view from the deck and watching the wild shots by the golfers. Howard was great about getting the bbq working and providing fuel. Fred was great about staying in touch if we had any questions.

Great, large house for two families

This house is even larger than what the picture show. It was perfect for our two families to share…two master bedrooms plus 2 bedrooms with multiple beds. A huge living space plus loft with foosball and air hockey. The kitchen was expansive and fully stocked. It was a great location to visit Yosemite and the goldcountry.

Uncle Freds Cabin

We had a great Thanksgiving week at Uncle Fred's Cabin. The house is spacious and clean and has lovely views of the golf course and mountains. It is walkable to the Grill and golf course, pickleball courts. Fred and his concierge, Howard, were very helpful and quick to respond when we had a small issue with the front door lock. Would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful stay

We have been renting this house every summer for many years, it is the most comfortable house we have stayed at. The kitchen and common living room are very spacious, all four bedrooms are great size, the house has the best layout possible. The host is very easy to work with.

Spacious home with wonderful deck!

We enjoyed the quiet neighborhood, the view of the golf course, the mornings on the deck watching the woodpeckers in the oak trees, the buck, with the largest antlers, hanging out in the trees by the side of the house, and the 3 dozen turkeys methodically combing the grass for grubs. Beautiful property

Beautiful, homely cabin - large & well stocked. Very well maintained. Being in the midst of a lush/ green golf course was a wonderful feeling. One of our friends went early in the morning to play golf & was delighted with his experience. A bit far from Yosemite National Park but we were aware of it. The property manager was not available when we tried to reach him a couple of times but the property owner more than made up & was very accessible. Thank you for the stay in your beautiful cabin. Weather was perfect with not a lot of people at the lake and playing golf. Golf course in best ever condition and we were done in 4 hours. Lake and snack bar was fantastic!!

Second visit and we would stay again.

Great location, large home, nice amenities (pool, tennis , Pickleball) beautiful golf course, lovely views. House has some deferred maintenance, golf ball netting, upstairs futon bed mattress sagging and uncomfortable. Gate fee of $46 per vehicle is irritating… as we had 8 family members arrive in 5 vehicles, thus $230 to enter community. OUCH!

Yosemite Road Trip

The house was perfect to accommodate 4 couples. The kitchen was spacious and well stocked, which allowed our travel group to cook and dine together. I really enjoyed seeing the deer and wild turkeys each day.

Wonderful location, beautiful house

This house is wonderful. Plenty of space for everyone. Beautiful views. Great location. The kitchen was fully stocked. The bedrooms were spacious. The kids loved the air hockey table. The owner and property manager were both helpful and attentive. I only wish that we got to stay a lot longer.

Good Family Option

Check in process was really stressful -- owner would not provide access code and told us to call the cleaner/concierge Howard the day ofwhen I called, it went straight to voicemail all afternoon for both owner and concierge. I sent a message on VRBO, texted and called and left a voicemail for both owner and concierge. Luckily we did not arrive at 4pm when check in is allowed, as no one got back to me until at least 4:30pm to give us the access code to the property. Communication was extremely poor on that first day. HOWEVER, from there on out, Howard and his wife were extremely responsive and kind -- bringing extra towels and dishwasher detergents when needed, and fixing access to direct TV when it stopped working all of a sudden. The house is big, and the living room has a super high ceiling, overlooking the golf course. The kitchen is well stocked with spices and cooking utensils, though the knives were very blunt and hard to cut with -- consider providing a knife sharpener if the set is not replaced. Of note, sheets were not placed on the beds when we arrived and we had to do that ourselves for every bed. The internet was advertised as 250+ mps and a family member needed to work from the house one day and speed extremely slow (when did a speed test, was 5mps). The owner has since changed the listing to 25mps instead. The HOA pool was great fun! It was about 1.5hr to the valley but still pretty easy access to Yosemite National Park. We had fun!

Amazing house and host

We highly recommend this house as one of the best we had on our Southern California road trip. The spacious open plan was ideal for our 2 families (10 people). Everything was spotlessly clean and it was amazing to spend time on the deck overlooking the golf course, enjoying the sunrises or watching the deer below on the lawn. Our teenage kids enjoyed the air hockey in the games room. Amazing host. Always responded quickly. This stay exceeded our expectations!
