"Villa Amarante is everything you hope for in a Caribbean getaway. The panoramic views over Teague Bay and Buck Island are absolutely breathtaking. "The views were extraordinary and the location, peaceful. The accommodations were better than expected with simple amenities free of charge, such as coffee, beverages and snacks, with replenishment upon request at no extra charge. Communication was prompt. "We extended our stay by 2 nights and needed a place to stay. The Mermaid worked out fine for us (could use a new mattress) and the view was amazing! The owner was great and very easy to work with and replied to us right away. We did not enjoy the ride to get up there, but we were warned about it in the description. You do need an SUV to travel up there. Thanks for the stay!"

"Very out of the way remote stay, extremely small accommodations, the bed is a converted couch, although clean, air conditioning keeps the room a little cool, the road in is not for the faint hearted, not easy to say the least, property is very old, bathroom light is a pull chain, property says breakfast included, that means you get cereal and milk in your refrigerator, not a sit down meal like all other places! "When I arrived the owner came out and showed me exactly where to go. The apartment was small but just what I needed. It was clean, smelled nice, and I appreciate the nice touch of having gentle music and scenery on the TV monitor. Great stay. A couple of unexpected, but friendly dogs were nearby, eager for a pat on the head. All good!"
