La Mer's unassuming exterior only enhances the delight of the bright airy home that opens to a spacious pool deck with excellent views. This villa property consists of a main building with 2 air-conditioned en suite bedrooms, modern and fully equipped galley kitchen and a split level living and dining area. The bedrooms and living space open by way of glass folding doors onto the main pool deck, bringing in sea views and breezes.

The villa is Caribbean contemporary design, with minimalist lines and bursts of tropical hues against a white canvas. La Mer invites quiet contemplation on its large deck, with loungers for sun worshiping or stargazing, and both indoor and outdoor seating for dining.

3rd time staying at LaMer and would highly recommend it, the views and the pool are fabulous. Nadine the housekeeper is great and very accommodating.Few little tweaks needed, garden furniture has got a bit tatty, the chair covers and cushions could all do with an upgrade and the bbq def needs replacing.But still love it and definitely will be going back.

Updated pictures needed

5 week stay. Place was clean but more worn and outdated than pictures express. Bedrooms were comfortable, kitchen well stocked and yard maintained weekly. Nadine cleaned every week and more if we had requested. Pool and view are splendid. Living/dining room had glass panels that are individual and each would slide to wall and then pivot to open….i considered this very dangerous so only opened one panel. Also panels are not sealed so there was a constant battle with mosquitoes entering through gaps. Appliances were adequate but very worn.

Amazing villa and views

Just the perfect villa, location and views are amazing. The villa is very well equipped and has everything you need to have a great holiday. Nadine the housekeeper is very lovely and very accommodating.

Lovely & Hated to leave...

We had a Great vacation. Nadine was wonderful! She met us on arrival (which was after dark due to flight delays). She made us feel at home, cooked some lovely meals and was very helpful during our stay. Nadine is the Best. We had so much fun and the private pool was terrific. We hated to leave. Thank you for sharing your home with us.

Secluded stay away from the big resorts

After having been to several resorts in the caribbean we decided to try a secluded villa with a gorgeous view. Read the descriptions of the rooms carefully as there is a cottage as the 3rd bedroom and the bathroom there is outside attached to the cottage. All 3 bedrooms have AC but the main house living area does not. Illtyd was our contact person at Blue Sky who helped set up our excursions, R/T taxi transfers from the airport and a car rental. I would rec that she send pick up times and confirmations a few days in advance so we could be prepared on the day of our excursions. All of them were well run and on time per her pick up times. I don't rec getting a car from the airport as it is 1 1/2 hrs from the villa and the roads are a little run down with a lot of potholes. In fact you probably don't even need a car if you do the rainforest and catamaran tours offered. That leaves visiting nearby beaches and pigeon island and a taxi can easily be arranged. We opted for Blue Sky to stock our fridge so everything was available when we arrived at the villa. Highly recommend visiting the naked fisherman restaurant, pigeon island for wonderful views and secluded beaches with lounge chair rentals available. Nadine is the star of the show with a big heart and advice on touring the island. She truly helped us chillax! Thank you for sharing your home with us.

Amazing views

Just the perfect house to stay in, easy to find, staff amazing, the housekeeper will cook for you which makes it the perfect getaway The views are spectacular and the grounds of the house are well kept Will definitely be going back.

This was the absolute best villa with the best views! We didn’t want to leave!

Everything about this place was amazing! Nadine the house keeper and cook became our new best friend! We loved everything that was recommended and victor number 2 on the list of taxi drivers was the very best! I can’t give this property enough stars! Incredible View!

I rented Villa La Mer for a family get together, my husband and myself and our adult children. Villa La Mer was a perfect size and configuration for our party of 5 adults, we all had lots of personal space and our own bathrooms. The common areas inside and out were great. The outdoor spaces are terrific, all overlooking a gorgeous view of the Caribbean. The location was perfect for our group very close to three lovely beaches and a few really good restaurants and not too far a drive from the supermarkets in Rodney Bay. The concierge Illytd was wonderful, incredibly responsive and helpful and Nadine the housekeeper couldn’t be nicer or more helpful. Because we as a group enjoy cooking periodically throughout our stays, I would love to see a couple more sharp knives and few more pots and pans, smaller pots and larger pans, not many, just a couple. St. Lucia is a beautiful destination and Villa La Mer is a lovely way to enjoy it.

Stunning Views

This house has stunning views and an excellent location. Our housekeeper, Nadine, was a sweetheart and a pleasure to have around; so was the property manager's concierge - Illtyd. Note that the house only has a/c in the bedrooms so it might get a tad uncomfortable in the main areas during the day. Also, the oven is impossible to figure out and should be replaced.

Beautiful villa with a view

My family had a wonderful time at La Mer. The villa was beautiful, better than pictures. And the view is breathtaking. The housekeeper Nadine was amazing. She made sure my family was comfortable and took care of anything we needed from groceries, to cooking, to arranging activities. Our driver Victor made sure we got to wherever we wanted; he was our like very own tour guide. We loved every moment of our stay and would definitely go back to La Mer again.

Pictures are deceiving

Going by the pictures and reviews I booked the villa for a week. If your level of Luxury is Best Western no judgment go for it…However, if you are more of a Ritz Carlton and St Regis kind of person save yourself the grief. I arrived at a dated villa, with mold, rust, broken doors, chipping paint, nasty bathrooms, and questionable towels and linens….literally after 3mins of Nadine showing me the house, I stopped the viewing and called VRBO to explain the situation the pictures posted on line were not true…..long story short after spending 9 hours of calling, taken proof pictures, sending out emails, trying to reach Gary, get help from VRBO, the property manager……which NONE of them helped me. Wasted money on disgusting Villa La Mer ….I didn’t have money to give away but I couldn’t subject my children to that. I just lost my son/brother 6 months ago from health issues…..12 hrs later I was out of there I had to rent an SUV, pack up my children, booked another "LUXURY VILLA" paid for on another vacation homesite, and everything I mean everything so beautiful, with stunning ocean views, a spotless kitchen, bathrooms, bedrooms, and pool. The villa was so clean we didn’t wear shoes in there it felt like home. The owner of our OTHER VILLA was HONEST with her pictures. I just asked Gary to be honest about his villa cause I WOULD"VE swiped left and bypassed the whole ordeal just saying honest is the best policy.

Be as doted on here as you want to be! This is a phenomenal location and we loved the area beaches! Learn how to run the climate control and also the hurricane shutters can help keep things dark.

Beautiful Stay

La Mer is in a great location with a beautiful view. We were met by Nadine who not only showed us the villa, but upon request, made us a yummy dinner so we only had to relax after a day of travel. Nadine arrived daily to tidy up and see if we needed anything. The air conditioned bedrooms were comfortable and appreciated as the house gets full sun later in the day providing a great view of the sunset. My only suggestion would be for more shaded areas outside by the pool. There wasn't really enough space to enjoy the outside when the sun was at it's peak. All in all though, it was a great stay and the villa had everything we needed.

Excellent House and Vacation

We had a wonderful time during our trip to St Lucia. The house is as advertised (even better). Gorgeous views, comfortable accommodations, and very clean. Our housekeeper was especially attentive and a pleasure to be around. While we ate out most nights, we took up on her offer to cook dinner one night after a full day on a catamaran. Delicious! Illtyd, our concierge, was very helpful is arranging activities, dinners and transportation as needed. I would highly recommend this location. And it is very close to The Naked Fisherman restaurant and beach. Make sure to make it one of your first stops, because you will want to return for at least another day. Private, secluded small beach with excellent food and drinks.

The property is lovely in a terrific location. Nadine and Ill. were great, helpful and friendly. Two things I suggest. Add an umbrella where the lounge chairs are and put a fan in the dining area and the living room area.

Paradise with a view

We lived our stay at La Mer. The house was clean, the pool was great and everything was as pictured. The staff was friendly and the house concierge helped arrange all of our activities and taxis. I’d say the only downside was the only areas with AC were the bedrooms so it took a bit of trial and error to ensure all spaces we were using were comfortable (I.e. leaving the front door open when the house was opened up for a cross breeze).

Million Dollar Views

This property has Million Dollar Views. Everything in the listing is 100% accurate except that the views are better than pictures can ever convey. Sipping a drink while hanging on the edge of the pool looking out over a gorgeous valley to the ocean to watch the sun set is wonderful. We walked through the front door and were hooked. Views to wake up to, to eat with, to spend your day with. St. Lucia is a beautiful vacation spot. And this villa is the jewel in the crown.

We had a great time at La Mer. It was a great location and had a spectacular view of the caribbean sea! Was great to sit outside and watch the sunset every night. We enjoyed being away from all the hustle and bustle. The house was very clean and updated. The housekeeper Nadine was lovely!

Beautiful Paradise

This property has a beautiful setting with well appointed amenities. The property was exceptionally clean with an awesome housekeeper/cook. This property has all very comfortable king beds and separate baths which was a must for our group of travelers. We enjoyed the property so much that we stayed on site more than we normally due because of the beautiful pool, outstanding view with a breeze and Captain Duke delivering fresh caught fish each day, Awesome!! We definitely recommend this amazing property and give it a 5-star rating. St. Lucia offers a many activities and fine dining opportunities as well.

Great Property?

Just returned from great week at La Mer Villa. The house has spectacular views of sunsets and valley below. Close to Rodney Bay, plenty of great activities close by. We were 3 couples so the 3 bedroom layout worked out great. The concierge, Illtyd, was fantastic. She helped with rental car, day trips and any other needs as they arose. Would highly recommend this place as a great place to stay.

Best Stay Ever!

We have rented Villas all over the Caribbean and have enjoyed each and every one of them but this Villa was far and away the best we have stayed at. The location, the layout of the villa, the amenities and service were first class all the way. The villa has sliding window panels that completely open up giving an open air feeling and magnificent views of the pool area and ocean below. The layout was perfect where you could enjoy the whole villa but feel like you were outside. Nadine the housekeeper couldn’t have been more gracious and helpful throughout our stay preparing a fresh fish dinner one night, breakfasts and lunch when we hung out at the villa. The location was perfect with easy access to grocery stores and restaurants. Don’t miss the Cliff at the Cap for an elegant dinner and The Naked Fisherman for more casual dining on the beach. Both were excellent. We also had a private chef who is the owner and chef at the restaurant Barnacles come in one night and make us a 4 course fresh seafood dinner which was fabulous. Felt like we were at a 5 star restaurant in terms of quality of food and preparation with a great view of the ocean from the villa. What a wonderful experience! I should also mention that we were assigned our own personal concierge prior to the trip from Tropical Villas who helped us arrange everything from rental car, transportation to/from airport, restaurant recommendation and lots of suggestions of things to do on the island. Very personal service. The only things lacking were no pool toys like floaties we wish we had and the kitchen really needed some sharp knives. We could barely cut a lime with the knives supplied. A knife sharpener would be nice. All in all we had a wonderful visit. We highly recommend this villa.
