The perfect lake escape is waiting for you at this cabin, featuring a large yard with beautiful lake views, beach access, and a private dock.

Located on the shores of Lower Wilson Pond just a few miles east of Greenville, this cabin boasts privacy in a peaceful, wooded setting, making it easy for getting away from it all. Walk just 75 feet from the house to reach the lake and a pebble-bottomed swimming area.

Admire the lake from the large picture windows while relaxing inside, or head out to soak up sun on the deck and listen to the water lap on shore. You might cook up food on the gas grill while the kids play games on the grassy lawn or get creative in the fully equipped kitchen. Dine at the picnic table, swim and fish off the dock, and relax with a DVD on the cable TV at night.

Dock details: The aluminum dock is 32' long - 16' is the longest recommended boat length.



Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

We woke up to spectacular views of the lake and went to sleep after seeing a sky full of stars. This is a warm, clean cabin with all the necessities of home with the exception of WiFi. While the tv works, I couldn’t get any channels on it, however, this is the type of place where we unplugged and unwound!!! Short backwoods drive to Gulf Hagas for a great hike and 10 minutes to Greenville and Moosehead Lake. Highly recommended!!!

Perfect size for our family of three and dog. Private and the view of the pond was amazing. So quiet and peaceful. Our dog even went swimming while we fished off the dock. We had a great time and would do it again.

Beautiful views from the cabin

We had a great 3 night stay. It was easy to find and all instructions were easy to follow! This was our first VRBO rental and it we will definitely return! We loved ready the camp journal that was started back in 2014.

Nice property!

Home was nicely kept and had all the conveniences! Lawn was not mowed however, and unfortunately during our stay landscapers came by and took care of it. A bit annoying to have all that noise when renters are at the property. Wish it had been done before we arrived or after we left. Enjoyed our stay though and will definitely be back next year!

We loved our stay. The location was wonderful. A short distance to town. The views of the lake were dead on to the description and pictures shown. The house is a good place to stay and watch plus listen to the loons and observe the stars at night. Great place to escape from the hustle and bustle.

Moose Adventures

We really enjoyed our stay at the Lower Wilson Pond cabin. We came to see the Northern Woods of Maine and hoped to see some moose and we did! We enjoyed sitting on the porch and watching the Loons on the pond. The cabin was great and gave us everything we needed. Our time here was peaceful and relaxing!

Great place to stay

Great location that is close to all the area has to offer. Cozy little cabin right on the lake. Even in this remote location, we still had good cell service. We had ample room for three kids and two adults, even on rainy days. Would definitely stay here again.

True relaxation

From the moment you turn into the road you are greeted with beautiful views. Follow the winding dirt road to the little slice of paradise. Lake was still frozen but the walking the shore was peaceful. Cannot wait to return when the weather is warmer!

Very thankful for the emergency generator!

We spent 3 nights at the Lower Wilson Pond cottage with our two dogs. It was a fantastic get-away, even though the weather didn’t want to cooperate. The house was well equipped and comfortable. We had a storm on our second day and the power kept going out. The generator came on automatically and we watched the pond start looking like the ocean as the wind was roaring. We were very comfortable in spite of the bad weather. We took a trip to Rockwood where we used to have a camp, and on the way home went to hike at Moxie falls and route 201 past The Forks. I loved the quiet location for walking the dogs and would definitely return again.

Love the loons

This is the first time we have ever gone to the same place twice, that says a lot. The lake is gorgeous, quiet (except the loons and the wind inthe trees). The cabin is clean and comfortable and they leave plenty of extras ( towels, blankets, spices etc). Wonderful rental.

Great location

First time at this cottage and it was one of the best we've stayed at for fishing Moosehead region. Spacious open floor plan, comfortable bedrooms, nice bath with a proper shower, warm, clean and a nice view of Wilson Pond. Better lighting in kitchen is our only suggestion.

Lakefront Cottage

We enjoyed our stay here. It's just rustic enough to feel like a true cottage and the lake provides a spectacular view from the main room of the home. We had a problem with the toilet refill mechanism upon arrival which resulted in water pooling on the bathroom floor with each flush unless we manually held the tube down in the toilet tank with each flush. The property manager was prompt in responding and said they could have a plumber out the next day. This was certainly a one-off situation which we were able to manage, and otherwise the property was perfect for us. We just wish we could have stayed longer :)

Amazing view.

My family and I had a wonderful weekend staying at this property. Everything was at the property to make the stay worth every penny. The kitchen was stocked with just about everything, pots, spices,coffee, baking tins, utensils etc. Cleaning supplies etc. There were number of games available. Even though it was mentioned that cellphone service would be spotty, we never had any issues with our phones. A few things to note....we had a little issue finding the property number as waze app says we have arrived , but it wasn't at the property 121 sanders rd but a neighboring property. The owner should put signage on one of the trees. There wasn't any DVD player or grill as mentioned in the listing. We would definitely return and recommend to friends and family.

Magical winter lakeside retreat!

We had a fabulous experience at Lower Wilson Pond Refuge! Although the summer driving directions were listed on the check in instructions the local property manager actually came to us, found where we were lost, and guided us to the property in no time at all. Holland was amazingly responsive through your stay. The cabin is perfect for a winter lakeside retreat. Even though the regional power went out due to high winds, the Woodstove more than kept us warm on a below zero temperature night and the gas stove still worked great, allowing us to cool by candlelight. The pond was remarkably quiet while we were there, and as a result we saw otters, mink and owls right out the picture window! Thanks so much for such a beautiful cozy space to escape from the world!
