Detached Studio Apartment with full kitchen.

The Space: Have your own place! It's a cottage in our large backyard completely outfitted with an open kitchen, living room with a Smart tv: You have your own Roku tv with Hulu and live antenna tv with 55+ channels and internet with your own wi-fi! Queen bed , full bathroom & washer/dryer!

Guest Access: Guests will have access to the backyard, deck, the entire unit and the outside firepit and hammock.

Interaction with Guests: We live onsite for easy access to answer your questions or help with what you need! Or we can ignore you and let you feel like you are in your own world!

The Neighborhood: Great neighborhood to chill and an outdoor space!

Getting around: Very easy to get a cab. $15 bucks gets you just about anywhere including downtown!

Other Things to Note: Park on the gravel spaces allotted to the left when you come down the driveway and walk back to your own little slice of heaven. There is a queen bed for two and one person under 18 could sleep on the couch if needed.

More than two guests: Add additional $15 per night for each guest and because of Greensboro Short term rental zoning they would have to be age 18 and under. Only 2 adults allowed per bedroom.

Check-in 4:00 (sometimes earlier if possible), Check-out 10am

Absolutely NO SMOKING in the cottage or outside!

Also we have a friendly 13 year old dog that use the backyard but is a house pet! We take her out leashed in our front yard for quiet time! We love pets but none are allowed in the cottage (not even our own). Thanks

Great little cottage, with easy access to all things Greensboro

Cozy, functional cottage on a nice property in a great, safe neighborhood. Small-but-perfect for a short stay. Private, super quiet, clean, comfortable and everything was as advertised. All the amenities functioned as they should. The bed and pillows could be *a little* better, but overall we’d highly recommend this as a great choice if you need a place to stay in Greensboro, NC.

Peaceful and relaxing

Our stay at the Backyard Cottage was amazingly peaceful and relaxing. Our hosts were very friendly and helpful. The bed was very comfortable. I slept like a hibernating bear. The neighborhood was so beautiful and most importantly it was located near the Guilford College campus where we attended two musical performances. Great restaurants were close by too. Our hosts were generous by providing some snacks and bottled water along with an individual servings coffee maker with coffee pods, creamers and sweeteners. Their attention to details was outstanding. We are VRBO hosts ourselves so we know how much it takes to make guests feel comfortable. Thanks Shana and Kate for hosting us. Hopefully we can host you some day if you visit Western North Carolina.

Perfect place for two

The place was easy to find and very cute! Everything was clean and just enough space for two people. They also had little snacks and a keurig which was super nice. Exactly what I’m looking for in a vrbo! A clean space with plenty of privacy. Like home away from home! ❤️

Home Base Away From Home

I was in Greensboro for several family celebrations, and the Cottage was perfect for my stay. Easy access to shopping & restaurants, lovely neighborhood, and when the Keurig failed to deliver my coffee one morning, Shana was on it! Thanks, Shana & Kate- I’ll be back!

Great stay!

We had a great stay at the cottage. It was in a safe neighborhood, the place was clean and the bed was comfortable. Great use of space and had everything we needed for our weekend trip. We will definately stay again when visiting friends.

Quiet and Homey.

Had a great experience staying at this cottage. It is clean, quiet, comfortable, convenient, and peaceful. The owners were always available and more than hospitable to us. Would recommend to anyone looking for a small quiet get away.

Family visit

The property worked well for our visit to family in Greensboro. The cottage is as pictured in a lovely setting behind the owners home, separate enough and with a private backyard space. We were excited we could bring my husband's brother across the yard in his wheelchair without a problem to enjoy some time away from NH environment. He loved being able to sit outside in the back yard surrounded by trees and a bit of nature. While small, the kitchen is efficient and we were able to provide a lovely lunch for a small family gathering taking advantage of the porch and steps for extra seating. Shana was very accommodating and helpful in giving us suggestions for wheelchair accessible outings nearby. We will definitely plan on booking again for future stays in Greensboro and highly recommend.

Cottage Relaxation

My husband and I loved staying at the cottage. The accommodations were just what we needed, the evenings were quiet and relaxing, and we appreciated the flowers and setting of the cottage. The owners were responsive, helpful, and kind. Stay at the cottage for a wonderful home away from home.

Greensboro getaway

Quietish neighborhood under airport flight path, close to plenty of dining and attractions. Description didn’t mention slogging across a wet yard behind another house at the target address to access the rental, but everything inside was cute and orderly. Also a tricky driveway entrance. Don’t bring a heavy roller bag, and bring your own Keurig pods if you prefer stronger coffee.

Fantastic stay

Perfect combination of location close to airport and downtown, while also in a quiet and peaceful area. For one or two travelers the space is perfect- access to lots of outdoor space including a small deck off the kitchen as well as a large yard. Interior was pristine and well decorated and laid out.

Quick stay - perfect spot

Wonderful stay

This is my second stay at the cottage. I decided to return as the owners are very communicative & professional. Everything is just as the owners list it—amenities, description, check in/check out process. The cottage is quite lovely and inviting—the cottage is extremely clean; I feel as if I am the first guest to stay here. There are also gorgeous hardwood floors, washer/dryer, comfortable bed, a kitchen kitchen with everything you need, a lovely sitting area, as well . We enjoyed the Wi-fi feature, and there is also Hulu and a TV provided. We also liked the special touches that made our stay comfortable—coffee maker, body washes, shampoo, etc. I appreciate that it is close to so many things. It is great to get away from the busyness of day-to-day life by staying in a comfortable, peaceful, and quiet setting. The owners are extremely helpful and pointed out that the Greek Festival was in town—they send a message detailing how to get there, and how long it was it town. My daughter and I went and had an excellent time! When I discovered the dates for family weekend at my daughter’s college, I only considered booking the cottage. When I return to Greensboro, I look forward to my next stay at the cottage.

Beyond Exceptional

We stayed in this cozy cottage this past weekend from Friday night-Sunday checkout time. The cottage has everything that anyone could possibly need to enjoy their stay. The kitchen is perfect, with all updated appliances. The bathroom is plenty spacious, and is also a laundry room with a stacked washer and dryer. There is a nice spacious deck off of the kitchen and the area of the yard that is around the cottage is nice and private, we enjoyed watching the wild rabbits hopping around the yard. There are hard wood floors, there is air conditioning and heat, there is also a ceiling fan in the kitchen for added cooling and air flow. The natural light in the cottage is refreshing, unlike a stuffy hotel room. The location could not be better....away from the hustle and bustle yet 5-10 minutes from literally almost everything. The owners are very communicative, and I was impressed with the binder that they have there for you in the cottage, that recommends their favorite restaurants and even gives tips for parking that otherwise we could not have known!! You cannot go wrong staying in this cottage....especially for a couple who values their privacy, and wants to stay someplace that is exceptionally clean with plenty of natural lighting. We would definitely go back there and stay again when we return to Greensboro.
