"Liked that it had EV charging. Very peaceful and owners were very welcoming and friendly. Delicious scrambled eggs in the morning made by Cliff using eggs from their chickens. comfortable bed and great shower. Very clean with nice touches such as shampoo/conditioner and shower gel and chocolate wafers with the tea/coffee making facilities. excellant value "

"really nice room beds comfortable great setting , pub really nice food and breakfast , my only gripe and don't suppose they can do anything about is the amount of parking available for the amount of customers they attract for both the pub and hotel. Would defiantly stop again though "

"A short covered walk to the hotel from the airport terminal mmade this a convenient place to stay. Largish room, and bar was pleasant with food and and a few kinds of beer."

"Absolutely amazing the best stuff around and certainly the best place to stay at while travelling around the whole south east of England. Nothing is ever a problem always comfortable always clean and the staff is so friendly highly recommended."

"Only there overnight but the hotel staff were polite, friendly and ordered a taxi on our behalf. Happy with everything apart from the cost of parking which felt steep at £30 a day for hotel guests. £35 if not a guest. "

"Owners were very friendly and great at communicating ahead of our arrival. We had a fridge in our room, which was really helpful and the water and tea/coffee/biscuits left were lovely. The beds were so comfortable and we slept really well. The breakfast was amazing - really great quality sausages etc. would definitely stay again if we were ever in the area."

"Very convenient for airport and food choice and quality was better than expected which was a great bonus for our stay. "

"Stayed here before ideal location for Braintree town centre with its many good pubs and restaurants. The bar is always busy and the restaurant is usually well attended"

"Room was basic but very clean and comfortable. Reception attendant welcoming and helpful. Great for the price. A little noisy when guests arrived but our room was very nearby so a bit unavoidable."
