Mountain Getaway, just 6 miles away from town!

  • Our house sits on 5 acres with expansive views of the mountains. Perfect getaway with friends and family and reconnect with nature but still close to town. The master bedroom and the 2nd bedroom are very spacious, the sunroom has a queen bed that is perfect for stargazing. The oversize deck and the fully equipped chef's kitchen will not disappoint!

    EV charger on site. Large oversize driveway for convenient and private access for your SUV, Trucks, RV and/or sporting activity vehicles like boats and side by sides. .

    We are about 6 miles away from downtown Grass Valley and Nevada City.

    Rollins lake, Yuba River, and Scott’s Flat are close by too! If you are adventurous there’s plenty of hiking, mountain biking, and swimming close by.

    We are about an hour from Donner Lake, Truckee, and Tahoe.

Great place to stay during a week of appts and meetings ranging from Tahoe to Sacramento. We were busy and moving all week but always knew we would have a chill and relaxing space to return to.

Property is very clean and well maintained. Slightly remote but that is also what I was seeking. Deck is juxtaposed facing the south/southeast so provided excellent sunlight throughout the day without oppressive afternoon sun. Kitchen was very well-appointed, everything well marked for easy finding and access. The knives were even sharp which is helpful if one values that for cooking. BBQ on deck is well placed right outside the kitchen door.Host was accessible during the pre check-in and period leading up to arrival and thereafter if needed.All together, I would gladly go back to this house for a visit.

So happy we booked this property. The view from the patio is spectacular, and there's plenty to do in Nevada City and Grass Valley. Would definitely stay here again.

We loved staying at this property! We chose it because it was far away from the craziness of the city. The Mountain view from the deck was spectacular. We spent hours there just lounging and talking. It was so peaceful, nothing but the breeze and birds during the day and the frogs at night. There were chipmunks, squirrels and our favorite, the daily deer sightings. The host was prompt to answer any questions. The property was clean and maintained well. Loved cooking in that big kitchen too.

We have been coming to the Grass Valley area for family vacations for years. Mostly VRBOs and this one of our best stays yet. We 100% want to stay again and hope it’s available for our next visit!! MT was one of the best hosts we have had yet!!

Such a lovely home! The view and serenity of the location were amazing. Perfect for relaxing and stargazing. The home is beautiful and was so perfect for our human family and for our pups. Lots to do nearby. We hope to return!!

Needed a place while my mom's house was being painted and recarpeted. She enjoyed her stay and found it very relaxing. It was very clean and well equipped. Nice get away in the hills with a nice view.

Family wedding

The house was very clean. The kitchen was fully equipped with all the dishes, utensils, and pans needed. Beds were very comfortable! The views were amazing and the host was very responsive. We would stay here again if we were ever in the area.

So relaxing!

We loved our short getaway before the school year starts! Just far enough away to enjoy the quiet at night! The house was very clean and comfortable. Loved all the labeling in the kitchen. It had everything we needed. Definitely will book again!
