Perched in the Sierra Nevada foothills overlooking Tahoe National Forest, the Sierra Sunrise house is a short drive from historic Grass Valley and Nevada City, yet feels private and remote.

Sierra Sunrise is a beautiful 2-story house on our 7 acre property a short drive from historic downtown Grass Valley. There are two other houses on the property (one we live in, one other vacation rental next door).

On the ground level you’ll find the kitchen, dining room, bathroom, living room with a convertible couch (full size mattress + topper), and an outdoor patio with dining table that seats 8.

On the second floor is the master bedroom with 1 queen bed, 1 trundle bed (2 twins that can be separated or combined to create a king bed), 1 convertible couch, an office, and a private deck with incredible views of Tahoe National Forest and the Sierra Nevada mountains.

The house has reliable cell service and dedicated WiFi, as well as a 55” inch flat screen TV with all the standard streaming options.

Guests are encouraged to explore the property! Sit by the pond, try out our makeshift disc golf course (i.e. trees for targets!), utilize the shared outdoor kitchen equipped with sink and bbq, walk the land, play horseshoes, and watch what we like to call "Hummingbird TV". We especially recommend exploring the garden to hang with the chickens, see what's in season, make yourself a bouquet, or pick some fruits and veggies! With over 90+ different flowers, trees, herbs etc growing around the property there is lots to explore. We can also provide binoculars and a bird guide for the bird enthusiasts!

Dogs are welcome, but please note there are other dogs that live on the property that might come say hello! They are friendly, but you can let us know if it's an issue. We advise that you leash your dog while exploring the property if they don’t do well with other dogs - also this can be helpful as pups do like to take off into the forest once they catch a glimpse of a jackrabbit!

The Sierra Sunrise House has its own dedicated parking right in front for at least four cars. We have space for more if you need and can accommodate trailers/RVs.

The House is easy to get to and close to highway 20 and 49. We are 12 minutes from downtown Grass Valley, a few minutes further to Nevada City, and even closer to the Fairgrounds.

We love to host people and are happy to interact as much or as little as you like! We can also help you plan your visit, organize fun activities, arts & crafts, garden tours, wine tasting, piano singalongs, etc. We enjoy creating magical and memorable experiences for people so let us know what your heart desires!
