- The historic, South Lakeland village of Cartmel is renowned as the prettiest village in the Lake District, and the Priory Church remains at its heart. The village features pretty streamside walks and quaint cobbled streets littered with antique shops, gift shops, traditional pubs and restaurants, or you can enjoy a day out at the racecourse. Take advantage of excellent walking opportunities amidst the beautiful, unspoiled countryside or visit the quiet seaside retreat of Grange-over-Sands nearby. Lake Windermere is a short drive away with plenty of options for all to enjoy from boat tours to hiring your own.
Enter through the front door into the lounge with its sofa and armchair surrounding the lovely wood burner-effect gas fire, the perfect location to sit and enjoy an evening drink or a book with a cup of tea. Head on through to the snug which has a large corner sofa by the TV with amazing skylights, ideal for a movie night. The kitchen has been designed with ease in mind with a breakfast bar for those early starts before a day of exploring. There is an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washer/dryer, and dishwasher. On the first floor, there is a double bedroom, twin bedroom, and the bathroom with shower over bath and WC. On the second floor is the master double bedroom with Smart TV and en-suite shower and WC.
Outside you will find a patio area with seating to enjoy those fine evenings.
