Lake Cottage

Check out this 3 bedroom, 2 bath lake front cottage on private Big Crooked Lake. Ideal for a weekend getaway, longer vacation, or a home away from home when attending local events. Summer brings lot of fun on your own private beach and dock. Great fishing! Right off the dock or on one of our kayaks or canoe.
In the winter there is ice fishing, skating on the lake, and we are less than 10 minutes from skiing at Cannonsburg. Something for everyone!

Our family of 5 enjoyed our stay, everything was perfect, check in, communication, accommodations. View was amazing, fishing, frog catching, great walks. Again, our family really enjoyed our stay. One of our kids even asked to move there. Host was great, willing to help with anything. We will most likely be staying here on future trips.

Interior is very well appointed and decorated! Outside is OK. Sandy beach to play on. This lake has great fishing! I caught at least 10 Large Mouth Bass per day. I was flipping Senco rubber worms with chartreuse tail....they gobbled them up. I was able to keep my fishing boat right there at the dock. Also excellent local restaurants. We had a lot of fun there!

Really great location, and worked out perfectly for our family. A lot of room for everyone both inside and outside. The place looks nicer in person than in the photos. The only issues we ran in to were that garage opener didn’t work, the washing machine wasn’t in the best shape (we wanted to wash a few kids clothing items but opted not to when we opened it), and the wii didn’t work at all (we just really wanted to play guitar hero but not a big deal). Host was responsive to our questionsOverall, we really enjoyed our stay and would recommended it to anyone! We may even be back next year :)

A short weekend stay and family celebration at Townsend Park. Too cool to really enjoy the beach, but did enjoy the sunsets and the lake view. Would go back.

Enjoyable Winter Week On Big Crooked Lake

Our family of four adults had a very nice stay, while we were in the area visiting relatives for a week during the winter. The house was very comfortable and roomy. The kitchen was large, well stocked, with a good size table and bright lighting. The living room had lots of comfortable seating. Both bathrooms were good sized. The large garage looked like it was well stocked for summer fun. The owners had the house nicely decorated, and the driveway was clear of snow.

End of Summer Getaway

Exceeded all of our expectations. Some reviews had us thinking the place would be run down. That was not the case at all. Perfect spot to hit the lake with everything you could think of to enjoy the water.

Highly recommend

The house was beautiful and stocked!!! It was nice to get a away for a few days and not have to pack our entire house. The kitchen was stocked with all the cooking supplies you could ever need. The entire house was clean and smelled really good. My kiddos loved the arcade room! The garage was filled with beach toys and accessories. We enjoyed the fishing poles, kayaks and paddle boat. Dave was great at communicating with us the day before and making sure we did not need anything. We definitely plan on coming back next year.

Another Great Stay

This is our 2nd year in a row renting this property. Nice house and ammenties. Plenty of kayaks to use, sandy beach and small swimming area. Good fishing right off the dock. Perfect balance of seclusion and being away from the city. Owner is good at communicating with us. We did run out of a couple necessities, but got it all taken care of. Like I said last year, we’d definitely come back.

Relaxing

Pro: The lake was wonderful. The house had everything they listed. The house is more of a cottage feeling kind of run down with old furniture. Cons: There was bugs throughout the house as we vacuumed a lot of spiders in the bathroom/bedrooms. The refrigerator was dirty and there was ants on the counter. We had to wash some of the dishes as they were dirty. We had a great time besides the miner issues.

Lake cottage

The cottage worked well for us. Location us convenient for friends and family to visit. The cottage is closer to the road then pictures looked. Some of the traffic went by too fast but the Owner can’t control that. Cottage was clean and there was everything we needed for the beach. We were able to get in early and owner was great at answering texts If we had a question. We enjoyed our stay.

Cozy, peaceful oasis!

The minute you walked in the house, you felt a homey atmosphere with the amazing smells and comfortable furniture. This property had absolutely everything we wanted! I can’t think of one thing we needed that we didn’t have. The host was excellent with communication and promptness, and also flexible with last minute changes! Our family loved the house, the area and even fun family things to do just 30 mins away in Grand Rapids. Highly recommend, and we’re anxious to come back again! Thank you for a great week in Michigan!

Spacious and comfy cabin

Me, my mom & sister stayed a long weekend for mothers day. We had plenty of room to spread out and relax. Check in was easy and communication with the host was top notch. The master bedroom is very nice, and the cabin itself is well laid out and very comfortable. We enjoyed downtown Lowell and a trip to meijer gardens in grand rapids (only a 20 min drive.) We would absolutely stay here again!

Big Crooked Lake Cottage

Great home that fit our large family of 6. The kids enjoyed the game room and the variety of video games. The layout was good with space - especially the master bedroom with the bathroom! Great communication from the owner and appreciated his flexibility. We would likely book this home again!

Pure Michigan

We enjoyed our stay at this comfortable lakefront home in August 2023. The owner is super responsive and helpful, and the location is ideal for access to multiple locations (Rockford, Lowell). Great fishing right off the dock, and plenty of water toys available although we didn’t have time to get in the water. With 4 adult-size people, it seemed full (online listing says it sleeps 9; 3 bedrooms=#1 w/queen bed, #2 w/bunk beds, #3 w/bunk beds) with one person sleeping on the couch. Perfect setup if you’re traveling with children. Fully furnished including kitchen w/good appliances. Nice quiet location. We’ll definitely book this property again when we visit relatives in the area in the future.
