Te invitamos a disfrutar de nuestra hermosa casa de montaña para unas relajantes vacaciones en invierno o verano en las Montañas Rocosas de Colorado. Con wifi y televisión por cable, puede mantenerse en contacto con el mundo mientras disfruta de la reclusión de este paraíso para los amantes de la naturaleza. Las increíbles vistas de nuestra casa te quitan el aliento cada mañana cuando te levantas y miras a través del agua con gas. Siéntate y observa la actividad de la naturaleza en el lago durante horas y horas. Las islas en el lago brindan una vuelta atrás para un espectacular espectáculo de naturaleza donde el águila pescadora anida y los pelícanos blancos se posan. Ciervos, alces y alces a menudo se ven desde la cubierta. Shadow Mountain se levanta del agua en la orilla lejana dando a este hermoso lago de montaña su nombre, 'Shadow Mountain Lake'.

En el invierno, puedes caminar con raquetas de nieve, patines de hielo o motos de nieve en el lago congelado por la puerta trasera. Nuestra casa está ubicada donde las cabeceras del río Colorado ingresan al lago, creando una línea de costa en forma de estuario a la vuelta de la esquina. En el lago se pesca la trucha y el salmón Kokanee. Este lago está conectado en su otro extremo a Grand Lake a través de una vía navegable y las visitas a Grand Lake Village son imprescindibles, ya sea en barco o en automóvil. Este pintoresco pueblo de montaña tiene un encanto especial, ya que elige aceras cubiertas en lugar de aceras de cemento. Actividades divertidas en la ciudad de montaña como el bingo del sábado por la noche en el parque, visitar tiendas de curiosidades, jugar al golf en miniatura o experimentar las deliciosas tiendas de dulces y helados. También puedes disfrutar de la auténtica vida nocturna de la montaña al ver una obra de teatro en el teatro en vivo, jugar a los bolos o beber y bailar en los salones rústicos y en muchos restaurantes diferentes.

Justo en la puerta desde el nivel inferior de la casa, puede utilizar nuestra canoa y remar de cortesía en el lago que rodea las islas para hacer turismo y pescar. Realmente amamos nuestra casa de montaña y nos gustaría compartirla contigo. Es un lugar que nunca olvidará.

Lovely Lake Home

We (my husband, daughter and her bestie and me) spent the long 4th of July weekend and this lovely lake home. We felt very comfortable, the house had everything we needed including tranquil views of the lake. We enjoyed the fireworks display from the top deck, hiking, kayaking on the lake, listening to the birds every morning and seeing the massive pelican flock on the lake just beyond the deck. It was the perfect house for relaxing, watching movies, and drinking in the beautiful scenery. It’s a quick drive to RMNP for hikes and downtown Grand Lake if you want to visit shops and restaurants. I have a feeling we will be back, we really loved the house.

Another great stay at Grand Lake

This was our fourth visit and wonderful as always. Every year we have some traditions but also new experiences. When the lake water was high we kayaked as much as we could, and as the water lowered we enjoyed the increase in wildlife. We saw a number of moose and had one walk right in front of the home, amazing! The decks are our favorite hangout spots, with morning coffee and relaxing evenings. The bird watching is so much fun. The home has everything we needed and we loved the new kitchen appliances and countertops.

Lake Life!

We loved our stay at the lake. The house had about everything you might need to enjoy the lake. We used the canoes and kayaks every day that was a huge bonus to the property. The sounds of the water and bird watching were very peaceful. Hope to return one day!

This is such a gem

Almost don't want to let the secret out. But this place is located just out of town and so it's quiet and calm and you can kayak right off the back deck. But you're close enough you can zip over into all the things in town you like.

My happy place…

Brent and Lori, thank you for sharing your beautiful home. This was our third trip and it really is amazing. We slowed down a bit this year, watching birds, spending more time on the water, and playing dominoes. The hummingbirds, geese, pelicans, ducks, etc are so much fun to watch. We saw a heron twice while kayaking and so many geese and duck babies. The house was comfortable and great as always, with everything we needed. We love the new cushions on the top deck and the new chairs! We hope to return next summer!

Winter Adventure to Grand Lake

My wife & I stayed at this property for 12 days while snowshoeing in & around Rocky Mtn NP. It was the perfect basecamp for our winter adventure. Great view across the frozen lake to the snowy mountains. Comfortable bed. Gas fireplace quickly warmed up the living room. The kitchen, while basic, had everything we needed to prepare meals. Quiet location (at least in the winter), but only 5 minutes from town & RMNP west entrance. Easy access to the highway for winter driving. Overall, a great stay!

The house was clean and well equipped. It had everything we needed. Being on the lake was awesome. We used the kayaks to explore the lake and islands. We couldn't ask for a better stay!

Lakeview getaway

The house and area were perfect for our family. With kayaks and canoes right on the water we could go out on the water any time we wanted. With two levels the kids could play downstairs while the adults were upstairs enjoying the view of the lake and mountains.

We had a wonderful time in this fully equipped home on Shadow Mountain Lake. We kayak the “islands” every morning, and used the properties canoe, too. Comfortable rooms to visit with family on both levels. Beautiful scenery from both decks. Beds were very comfortable.

Beautiful location

This is a beautiful location! The added canoes and kayaks were a huge bonus! The house itself was comfortable for our group of 8. The cleanliness of the place was questionable and we did do some cleaning upon arrival.

Great Getaway

We had an amazing stay. The home was beautiful and clean. We enjoyed the amazing views of the mountains, lake, and birds from the living room and deck. The sandbars in the lake in front of the home were a great place for kids to play. Our favorite activity was exploring the islands with the canoes and kayaks. What a great place to get away from it all!

Fantastic Mountain Views

Great location with fantastic mountain views! We even saw a moose walk by in the water. Loved the canoes and Kayaks...we used those daily. Watching the fireworks from the deck on the 4th was something I will never forget. I would definitely come back!

Just as great as the first time we stayed!

I’ve never stayed in the same rental more than once, until now. Our second trip, early June, was just as great as our trip last summer. The home is beautiful and the views are outstanding. We grilled out, did a couple hikes, saw a band in Winter Park, shopped in Grand Lake, relaxed on the deck, played games, and kayaked. The house is very comfortable for 6 adults. The hummingbird feeders were new to us this year. (Are they only used certain months?) We fell in love with watching these beautiful birds. The kitchen is stocked with sugar to make more nectar. Our second evening we were treated to a moose crossing the lake. Amazing! We can’t wait to stay here again next summer!

We loved the area and the lake house was lovely. The only disappointment was that the lake was shallow. Fishing was not the best. We had to go to deeper lakes and or rivers to fish. But overall, very nice area

If you only read one review, let it be this one!

Myself, my wife, her sister and husband, along with each of our 6 month old babies stayed here! We had one of the best week’s of our lives! First of all, this home meets every single desirable element of a vacation rental. It’s very clean and neat. The furniture is all extremely cozy, and nice! There is plenty of room for plenty of people, and even the upper/lower living rooms was a great touch to give us time apart! The fireplaces both upstairs and down are soooo warm and relaxing. We had them on every evening. The view is stunning, and pictures don’t do it justice at all. 180 degrees of mountains. It’s an extremely peaceful street, and we never saw another car there. It’s close to everything. 5 minutes from Main Street grand lake, 10 minutes (if that) from the Rocky Mountain NP entrance. Absolutely perfect location. The kitchen had everything needed for cooking big meals, even the smaller things like spices that we forgot! The view on the porch is facing East. So each day you get an incredible sunrise and an even more incredible sunset most evenings. Plus there’s loads of wildlife on the water, we saw all kinds of birds and watched Eagles dropping down into the water! Even the beds and bedding were insanely comfortable. We will 100% stay here again, and I’m so glad we ended up here and not any of the others we looked at! I guarantee you won’t regret staying here. My wife and I are big on reviews, so I hope to help give you the peace that this place is seriously 11/10!

Rocky Mountain Gem

This property was fantastic for our visit to Granby. Easy to miss the entrance, as it is tucked in behind a business. First thought was, "this looks small." However, once inside, it is very roomy and has amazing views. The location is great. Just a few minutes away from shopping and food! Located right on he lake!!

Amazing!

Lori and Brent have a lovely home with an amazing location. The house was very comfortable for 5 adults and the kitchen had everything we needed (utensils, plates, pots, etc) for the meals we made. We spent most of our time outside on the decks, watching the birds and ever-changing skies over the mountains. Highlights included seeing 5 deer cross the delta to an island and a morning kayak trip. We hope to stay here again on our next trip to Grand Lake!
