The idyllic stone house from the 19th Century lies in an untouched landscape, in the place Zaostrog on the Makarska Riviera. For centuries, Zaostrog has been the perfect vacation destination for anyone looking for seclusion and nature.

The property has been carefully converted into a beautiful, family-friendly vacation home and preserves its historical heritage. The enchanting location on a slope, in a picturesque hamlet typical of Dalmatia, offers a wonderful panoramic view of the landscape, the sea and the islands.

The interior, a mixture of modern and antique, creates a warm and inviting impression. The vacation home has four bedrooms and four bathrooms. All rooms have SAT / TV, air conditioning, WiFi.
In addition to the modern kitchen and living area, this cozy house also has a beautiful terrace with sea views, where you can enjoy your morning coffee in peace.

The charming holiday home also offers a swimming pool, heated (9.00 x 3.00), an outdoor shower and a barbecue. A garage for 2 cars is also available, six bicycles are also available.

The area offers opportunities for various leisure activities such as hiking or cycling. Bicycles are available and can be used free of charge. A few minutes drive takes you to a beautiful pebble beach and a charming neighboring village where you can find shops, supermarkets and restaurants.

Wonderful House and Location

The house is fantastic. Spectacular views, a wonderful pool, with a dining deck that looks out over the sea. Each room has its own bathroom and also has wonderful views. Great location! Convenient for daytrips. There is also Paklaneca-quality hiking up into the mountains out the back door. And, of course, Mario is the most gracious host you could wish for. Thank you!!

ABSOLUTELY AWESOME!

In May of 2022 I had the opportunity to stay at this incredible home for two weeks. I was accompanied by six other family members. Our ages ranged from 56 to 82 . . . and we all LOVED this place. From the pool to the patio to the four bedrooms (each with a private bathroom), it was spotlessly clean. The views are beyond description - and completely mesmerizing. We spent hours outside eating, drinking, enjoying the pool, reading and being generally lazy. Everything about this home (and I do mean EVERYTHING) was incredible. Mario, the manager, was beyond reproach with respect to communication, availability and his willingness to help in any way, shape, manner or form. The home is up a BIG hill and there are a lot of stairs once you get there. But, even my 82 year old mother agreed it was worth the extra effort on her part. I actually think the drive and the stairs make the place that much more special. I whole-heartedly recommend this home to anyone, you will not be disappointed!

It was a dream

I have to say that this property was like something out of a DREAM. . . It was clean and the home/pool/ patio area were STUNNING. My husband and I spent 4 amazing nights there. You are pretty much isolated, but close enough to head down the hill to the town of Zaostrog. We rented a car upon landing in Dubrovnik which I highly recommend for getting around Croatia. Mario the house manager was incredible and SO helpful. Incredibly responsive and always willing to go above and beyond. That really pushes this VRBO into the 5 star category. Bed was super comfortable and the house is equipped with central AC which made it perfect. WE WILL BE BACK!!!!

A fantastic week at the house. Wonderful views across the Sea. Plenty of room for 2 families. Pool great. Mario the local contact very helpful all week for booking restaurants and boats etc. We loved the local area and fantastic hidden beaches

Newly renovated home with pool and ocean view

We loved our stay at this beautiful home. Unfortunately it rained during most of our stay so we ventured out each day. Lots of pretty towns with good restaurants and great views. Only downside to the house is the long twisty road to the home!

Beautiful house, with stunning views. Very helpful host too.

Lovely, very tastefully decorated and well equipped house. Views are incredible. Looks every bit as good as the pictures, if not better. The local towns are lower key than on the islands, making for a more authentic experience. Lovely unspoilt beaches are easy to access. The owner, Matko, was super helpful. We had a very enjoyable week. Wished we had stayed longer.

A beautifully decorated house in the hills with a stunning view down to the sea

The house is lovely, very well equipped and just as it looks in the photos. It’s great that all 4 bedrooms are lovely and all have good modern bathrooms. The owner was very quick to answer any questions and kindly booked restaurants for us on request.
