I rented units a,b and c for meeting family at the coast. We were notified before arriving that the oven in unit a did not work, I asked if we could get compensated as we were not getting what was advertised, the person said they would ask and I never heard back. Not only was the oven not working in unit a, units b and c had freezers that were half working. In unit b the freezer had ice all over it and we could barely get open, the unit c freezer was frozen closed, we could only open it about 4 inches so we were unable to use it. There was stained carpet and linens, outside lighting didn’t work, the shower/tub in unit b was plugged, the door to the deck in unit a had a broken arm. The scariest thing however, was when we used the dryer in unit c and the whole apartment started getting very hot. We looked behind the dryer and found not only was the vent not connected to anything and blowing hot air all over, but a massive amount of lint and a serious fire hazard (see photo). The property while new, appears to have had zero upkeep since it was built. The positives were a short walk to the beach and each unit had supplies for making food and eating meals. The bedrooms hac no ac or fans so if it’s warm, at all, you have to have the windows open (especially in the upper units) and the road noise will wake you up repeatedly. This could be a great property with a little care and thoughtfulness, it’s really too bad.
