  • Jaybird Retreat is a pair of adorable cottages in a gorgeous riverfront setting, so peaceful you'll forget your just an hour from Seattle. The main Jaybird Cabin has everything your group will need; a full kitchen, dining area, and enough seating to all sit around the electric fireplace. Enjoy outdoor meals from the propane grill on the riverside deck- just around the corner from the sparkling hot tub where you can relax and gaze at the stunning view of the Cascade Mountains. Chickadee Cottage is a sweet studio snuggled on the side with a kitchenette and queen bed in a cozy living space. The spacious and private yard offers plenty of space for each cottage to feel very private while still being able to enjoy the company of the group when everyone's ready for the campfire or board games.

    Furry friends are welcome for $50/pet! We welcome all species, sizes, and breeds.

    Please note that we have a webcam that looks out to the driveway entrance, facing AWAY from the house.

Cute pet friendly cabin overlooking the river with view of the mountains

My husband and I and our pup spent a long weekend here. It was comfortable and such a welcomed getaway. The cabin was clean, easy to get to and had super detailed instructions. Will definitely stay here again!

Peaceful Oasis

The view was unreal, it was peaceful and lovely. We went right across the street to public river access and cooked a huge dinner in the little kitchen and used the BBQ! It was a perfect birthday weekend.

Peaceful, relaxing

Had a great time relaxing by the river. The sounds of the water were extremely calming. A much needed respite. Place was cozy and was just what we were looking for.

Cozy cabin on the river

We always enjoy coming to the Jaybird retreat. On the river and with an excellent hot tub is a huge bonus, and although the cabin is modestly sized, it's always very clean and and is a nicely laid out space. A great location to get a head start on some of our favorite hikes.

Relaxing Time at Jaybird

Gorgeous view of the river at this well outfitted (but not pretentious) little cabin retreat. Close to many great hikes and fishing which we took advantage of daily. Although not isolated, it was private and we enjoyed the hot tub and spacious windowed interior.

Cozy inside, and we could hear the sound of the Skykomish River all night and day long. It rained the whole time, and we were happy as clams, reading, singing, eating and walking in the woods. A real retreat for us. A very nourishing stay. stay after

The house and cottage were good. They were both very clean. Just a few little things need attention. The blind in the big dining room window is broken, the sink in the main bathroom drained slowly and the potholders need to be replaced. The main thing that really needs to be done, is cutting the bushes and trees in front of the deck. Even standing at the rail, you can't see the whole river. The river view is the reason we've rented this place for the past 3 years. The first year we could see the river. Then last year we asked if the bushes could be trimmed back as the view was obstructed. We could see that they had been recently trimmed. But they were still about level to the deck railing so you couldn't see the river. I've included the river view photos from the listing and the photos we took this past weekend.

Amazing Stay!

Relaxing River View

I thoroughly enjoyed my time at JayBird Retreat. The proximity to the river, views of the cascade range from the balcony, perfect hot tub scenery, all made this so relaxing. This house might be small, but it’s cozy for a couple looking to escape the city. We had everything we needed.
