"Sadly, the Ben Miller is outdated and really needing a makeover. Straight from the outset, the front lobby was shabby (with furniture that was seriously in need of a change), the dining area resembled something out of a lodge in the Poconos in the 60's/70's (certainly not fine dining) with ample evidence of roof leaks and the view to the river having debris quite visible. Our room, while clean, showed evidence of much wear and tear; what stuck in our minds was the rust visible on the ceiling...

"The Little Inn has been a special place to us for many years. It is indeed charming and the staff was all kind and helpful. We did discover on this trip that we should have waited a week or two since they were in transition to full season services. The dinner menu had several changes that had to be conveyed verbally since the printed menu was not updated, and, most disappointing was that there was no breakfast available except on weekends at this point. "First off, the listing is not accurate - it states "5 bedrooms", it's 3 bedrooms, a sunroom and a loft. As well two bed pictures in the listing were not in the space we rented - this should be fixed. One of the "queen beds" was actually two box springs and a 2 inch foam piece - not even remotely useable. The kitchen is well equipped, but when we got there 2 of the 3 pot lights over the sink as well as the light over the stove was out-we replaced what we could. The space is large for sure, but...
