This was such a fun place to stay with our pups! They loved running around the yard and laying on the porch. We cooked all of our meals for the weekend, and the kitchen supplies and appliances in the house were awesome. The rooms were so spacious and the decor was adorable - it was even nicer than it looks online. The 12 minute drive to Dinosaur Valley State Park was a great day excursion.

Nice property with just about everything you could need for a small family. The bathrooms were clean and the kitchen was well equipped, right down to skewers for s’mores and firewood for the fire pit. There is a Dollar General within walking distance.

Enjoyed the stay, house was very clean. Unable to turn on back porch lights. Might have been us. Yard needed mowing to me, wife said no big deal to her. We would still recommend and return. Close to downtown, stores and state park attractions. Son and wife loved it too.

Beautiful Home!

This 100 hundred year old home has been perfectly remodeled/modernized. The bathrooms and kitchen are amazing! Every room is amazing. The lot size is huge. My granddaughters didn’t want to leave the property! They especially loved the plunge pool and swings. Great stay!

More than a place to stay

The beds were comfortable, the bathrooms cozy, the kitchen well equipped for a weekend stay. Every nook and cranny decorated intentionally, inside and out. But even more than the necessities, the property was a joy to roam. From the pool, to the fire pit, to the swings under the big tree, to the chairs beside the trickling stream down the hill, there is so much to do without even crossing outside the property lines. And, of course, this place is located a short distance from all the attractions of the area, so when you do get in the car, you don’t have far to go. I can’t say enough about how much we enjoyed out stay. Will be booking again soon!

Grandparents/Granddaughter Getaway

This was the perfect property for our fun little getaway with our 5 year old granddaughter. We had so much fun & she absolutely loved everything about Live Oak Landing. The 3 tree swings, outdoor games, soaker pool, hot dogs & smores cooked on the firepit, walking in the creek, king bed & outdoor shower in her room, as well as plenty of room to run & play to name just a few. It's also located just around the corner from all the area attractions including Dinosaur Valley State Park. Memories made & we cant wait to return!

Beautiful Property!

I can’t say enough about how beautiful this property is. Our young kids had such a wonderful time playing in the plunge pool, swinging under the gorgeous old trees, and splashing around in the creek. You feel like you’re pretty secluded but are actually just down the street from the town square. The house was also great. The outside shower is a cool feature. Great stay, great host.

Fantastic

Everything was great! There was all the amenities needed even down to the simple things for young kids such as colorful plates, bowls, and cups. The outdoor games and activities made it that much better as we spend as much time outdoors as possible. The whole family felt right at home and truly enjoyed the house and the property! Would definitely recommend and stay here again if we make it back to Glenn Rose!

Perfect for 2 couples

We stayed here so we could be close to Dinosaur Valley Park for the Mammoth March. It was a perfect little house sitting on a good sized property. It’s in a neighborhood close to all restaurants in Glen Rose. Both bedrooms have king sized beds and their own bathroom. One bathroom has a connecting outside shower, it was great to use since it was cold outside and the water was hot. The house had everything we needed and it was very clean. We would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful getaway

This was a lovely farmhouse with a well-equipped kitchen, charming decor, and thoughtful extras. The beds were very comfortable. The back porch was soooo relaxing. Fun table and connect 4 area in the backyard plus seating area down by the creek. The outdoor shower was lots of fun and easy to use. Just a lovely place to stay!

Such a cute place!

The house was so cute and we loved the huge property and all the activities for the kids. Every detail was taken care of even down to having seasonal decorations. The yard and house was so well taken care of. I didn't realize it was so close to a major road with some traffic noise, but otherwise perfect!

My girlfriend and I went to see Dinosaurs Valley state park and Fossil Rim nature preserve. The house was amazinf and cute. Its great for 2 couples. Our dogs LOVED the property too
