Spacious Lakefront Retreat w/ 2 Homes, Private Beach, Docks & Amazing Location

Multiple families coming together for an unforgettable vacation on the lake? Tonawathya Retreat is beckoning! Along your own private stretch of sandy beach on Big Glen Lake, you’ll have access to all the space and amenities of two amazing lakefront homes, making this the perfect spot to make memories with family and friends.
BONUS! If you don’t need both homes for your vacation, check out the separate listings for the Annex (2 bedrooms) and Tonawathya (3 bedrooms).
Living Spaces
The larger of the two, Tonawathya boasts a welcoming open living area that’s bright, airy, and super spacious with vaulted ceilings and a huge wall of windows overlooking the lake. It’s the perfect place to gather, with tons of seating options, a flatscreen TV for family movie nights, and a gas fireplace to make rainy days extra cozy. And the slightly retro vibe makes the space feel just like home.
Next door, the slightly smaller Annex mimics the living space in Tonawathya. It also has vaulted ceilings, an open layout, and tons of windows. With a huge comfy sectional, it’s a super cozy spot. You’ll have a hard time deciding which living room to hang out in!
Kitchen & Dining
With two homes come two kitchens!
In Tonawathya, the light, bright, fully-equipped kitchen features white shaker-style cabinets, fun light fixtures, two kitchen islands, and huge windows showcasing the lake. There are multiple places to dine, from the eat-in kitchen table and stools at the kitchen island to a formal dining table for six and a cozy breakfast table for two.
In the Annex, the kitchen is completely open to the living space, with a large two-tier island that offers plenty of prep space and bar seating for four. Gather for meals (or family game nights) at the huge wooden dining table for six.
Bedrooms & Baths
With five bedrooms, 4 full and 2 half baths, and endless lake views, there is plenty of space for everyone to spread out across two homes. It’s the ideal setup for two families to each have their own space (and their own house!) but you can divvy up the spacious bedrooms however you choose.

In Tonawathya:
Bedroom 1: Primary suite on the main level, King bed, lake views, flatscreen TV, and full ensuite bathroom with a shower
Bedroom 2: On the lower level, King and twin bed, lake views, and attached half bath
Bedroom 3: On the lower level, Queen and twin bed, lake views, flatscreen TV, and ensuite bathroom with shower

Bathroom 1: Primary ensuite, shower
Bathroom 2: Bedroom 2’s half bath
Bathroom 3: Bedroom 3’s ensuite, shower
Bathroom 4: Half bath off the kitchen area

In the Annex:
Bedroom 1: Primary suite, King bed, access to deck, and ensuite bathroom with a shower
Bedroom 2: Two twin beds, and attached full bathroom
Extra: Queen sleeper sofa in the living room

Outdoor Amenities
With two houses you get double the lakefront! Both homes have large decks with steps down to your own huge expanse of private beach on Big Glen Lake. Rent or bring your own boat and jet skis – Tonawathya Retreat has moorings and a jet ski hoist to make getting out on the water easy. Hang out on the swim platform, float in the water, fire up the grill on the deck, and gather around the fire pit just steps from the lake. With amenities like this, you’ll never want to leave!
Must sign rental agreement upon booking,
Must submit an off-platform security hold that will be placed 2 days prior to arrival and released 7 days after departure, if no damages are reported.
Must follow all house rules!
Maximum 2 cars allowed, if bringing a boat and trailer we do have a spot to park it between trees. Just let me know and I can send you a picture,
No pets. No smoking/vaping. No parties or events.

Failure to abide by the Rental Rules will result in immediate eviction and/or loss of the renter’s deposit.

Smoking and pets are not allowed.
Missing or damaged towels, sheets, quilts, blankets, pillows will be charged to guest at replacement cost.
Quiet time is from 11pm-7am daily.
No unapproved parties or events.
No fireworks.
Please clean grill prior to check out. 2 propane tanks are provided. Additional tanks or refills are the responsibility of the guest.
Please park on the cement or gravel area only. No parking or driving on grass or edges is allowed due to possible irrigation and septic damage.
Please do not enter any of the boats on the property. We provide a mooring for you to rent or bring your own.
Absolutely no beach fires, must stay in the designated fire pit.
The boat house at the Tona house is off limits to guests. Our owners have camera’s in there due to the expensive nature of what’s located in there and we don’t allow guests to access it.

Beautiful views! These homes are set up well for large family. We had a wonderful time, it was so relaxing which was just what our family needed! The kitchen was well set up for cooking. The bedrooms were all very comfortable. We loved sitting on the patio looking at the lake. The water was a bit chilly but we still managed to get in the lake and have some fun.
