Welcome to Log Weekend – your lakefront escape on all-sports Pratt Lake in Gladwin, MI. This spacious, true log cabin sleeps 12 and offers the perfect mix of rustic charm and modern comfort. Inside, unwind in the cozy great room with vaulted ceilings, a floor-to-ceiling stone fireplace, and big lake views. The home features 4 bedrooms, 3 full bathrooms, a well-equipped kitchen, A/C in the main house, and fun for all ages with fun family games.

Step outside to your private 60-ft dock, sandy beachfront, and included rowboat and two kayaks (available from Memorial Day-Labor Day). Enjoy evenings by the firepit (starter wood included) and mornings with coffee in the sun-drenched dining room. Bedrooms include a king suite with en suite bath and shower, two queens with a trundle, twin beds, and a charming loft.

Located just a mile from the boat launch and minutes from local shops and golf, Log Weekend is ideal for family vacations, friend gatherings, or peaceful getaways. No pets, no fireworks, no smoking—just pure Michigan lake life at its best.

Beach/Swimming: Yes! The property sits directly on Pratt Lake with a sandy beachfront. The first 10-15ft of the lake are sandy bottom.

Dock: A 60ft dock, water depth is 4ft at the end.

Drinking Water: Well water, please bring bottled water if you are particular to the taste. There is a water softener.

Drugs/Smoking/Fireworks: Freshwater does not permit illegal drugs of any kind on the property. Due to the location of the properties, smoking is strongly discouraged around the home and strictly prohibited in the home. Fireworks are prohibited at a Freshwater location for the safety of all persons in and around the property, even if it is legal in that city.

Fireplace: This property features two fireplaces! A gas fireplace & an electric fireplace - both remote operated!

Fire-pit: Yes! There is a firepit and a starter bundle provided for your stay!

Fishing: Some common fish you will see in the nearby lake are largemouth bass, bluegill, pike, and walleye. Please be sure to bring your own poles as there are none at this property. Also, in order to fish in Michigan lakes, one is required to hold a fishing license.

Golf: Gladwin Heights Golf Course in Gladwin, MI (13 minutes away).

Grill: Blackstone propane grill

Grocery Store: Family Fare Supermarket in Gladwin, MI (14 minute away!).

Heat: Forced air heat is used at this location.

Internet/WIFI: Yes!

Linens: Yes, we provide your sheets and linens. Just like a hotel, the beds will be made for you upon arrival. We have just the basic sheets, pillows, pillowcases, and bath towels.

Parking: Up to 4 vehicles, with room for a trailer.

Pets: 1 Dog allowed. Freshwater Vacation Rentals currently charges $75/per pet for your entire stay. Yes, we do accept dogs, yet we do ask that you please clean up after them both inside and outside the cabin. Plus, if you allow them on the furniture, we do ask that you please bring your own linens/blankets for them to sleep on. Just let us know which bed you will be using with them, and we'll make sure it is ready for your sheets when you arrive. Plus, if the pet hair starts to build, we do ask that you please run the vacuum. Generally, dogs love the water and places to explore. Pet food does tend to attract mice, so vigilance is needed. While we do allow guests to bring a dog, there is a stray cat that likes to spend time around the property. Sometimes, guests and the property owners feed the kitty, so she is very comfortable near the property. This is NOT an allergen-free home.

Privacy: There are neighbors next door.

Snowmobiles: a person (resident and nonresident) that operates a snowmobile in Michigan is required to purchase a snowmobile trail permit. The trail permit enables snowmobilers to ride state-designated trails and thousands more miles of public roads and on public lands (where authorized). It is valid for one year, which begins Oct. 1 and ends Sept. 30 of the following year. State-designated trails are open Dec. 1-March 31 and grooming occurs when there is enough snow on the ground.
