We stayed at the Great Big Log Cabin in Stockton, IL the week before our daughter’s wedding, and it was the perfect home for our family. The house was laid out beautifully, making it easy for everyone to relax and spend time together. Everything was very clean and well supplied.The kitchen was spacious and extremely well stocked—perfect for cooking and sharing meals as a family. We loved the multiple conversation areas and the large main living room where we could gather and unwind at the end of each day. The air hockey, foosball, and pool tables added plenty of fun for everyone.Our host was wonderfully responsive to all our questions and needs, which made our stay even more enjoyable. We highly recommend the Great Big Log Cabin and hope to bring our family back again in the future!

Beautiful property, the photos are very accurate. If anything, it's even more spacious than the photos show. Everything is very well layed out, the kitchen is spacious and had everything we needed for utensils, platters. The pool and hot tub are big and in great working order. I would definitely recommend this place.

Great property with lots of room to spread out. Most impressed with 6 of the 7 bedrooms having KING beds.... this was one of the reasons we chose this place as all of us were adult couples! And all the beds were comfortable!

This home is ideal for a family stay. The number of bedrooms and bathrooms makes this home a great place for large families and/or grandparents staying with their kids and grandkids. The hosts have thought of everything to make your stay enjoyable and fun. For the young ones, a toy room, foosball table, books to read and a massive pool with floates, noodles. There is also a hot tub.The kitchen is stocked with all the utensils, pots and pans you need. The coffee bar is fully stocked. The Blackstone grill is ideal for cookouts. The house offers plenty of space and quiet nooks where you can read a book, listen to music or just relax. As a guest, you also have access to Apple Canyon Lake pool and all of the other amenities at this recreation area.The check-in process is easy and convenient. The hosts provide you with plenty of information on the area, including Galena. The hosts respond in a very timely manner to any request, question or concern. The check out process is very well outlined by the hosts.

Great property for a family vacation. Pool was awesome for all the kids. We also really enjoyed all the amenities that you have access to: private beach, hiking trails, community pool. House is huge which allowed the family to spread out and everyone was very comfortable.

Multi-Family Gorgeous Cabin

We booked a weekend getaway to celebrate my birthday. It was a total of 10 adults and 4 children (3 - 10 yo, and 1 - 13 yo). Other than a quick trip to the grocery, we didn't have a need to enjoy the nearby resort. The picture and statement about the house being HUGE is not an understatement. Each couple and adult were able to have their own room while the kids slept in the same room or could opt to take advantage of a loft or nook in their parent's room. The pool is unheated, but once you get past that initial cold shock it was a great activity for the kids while the adults could watch from the hot tub, patio or upper deck. They have ample pool toys and towels and several gates to ensure the safety of smaller children. There aren't any neighbors so we were able to play our music freely and have fun doing kaoroke with mics without disturbing others. The bathrooms are large and include handsoap, towels, and body wash dispensers. We are a group who likes to cook and eat together, so it was important to make sure the kitchen and dining space accommodated all of the guests. Between the dining and kitchen tables and kitchen counter seats, there was plenty of room for everyone. We were able to play family games at the dining room table with both the adults and kids. As much as I like to explore different areas, we may rebook in the near future when the weather is warmer to enjoy the pool and the resort more. Mara was always prompt in responding to my questions & giving direction.

From the listing to the weekend and after, it was a perfect stay. The hosts were prompt, courteous, and so helpful - even dropped off dish soap for us within minutes of asking! Our family weekend was excellent and the house was the perfect size for all adults to feel comfortable and safe. House was clean, stocked, and inviting. Would stay here again!

Fantastic family weekend!

We had such a wonderful time together & were so happy with the cabin! It was so spacious with room for everyone. There was everything there that we needed, from the most well stocked kitchen to the many comfy king-sz beds to games for everyone - and even a stroller for the little one! Our host Mara was so accommodating that there was also a Christmas tree and holiday decor to add to the warm ambiance. Mara was a delight to work with; the property was awesome; and we've already talked about another visit there. You won't be disappointed with this lovely home.

Fantastic place for a large group.

HUGE, HUGE, HUGE! Beautiful place, plenty of room, lots to do, comfortable. Lots of small areas to get away and relax, unwind or read a book. The Lodge is huge, the pool is huge, the dining table is huge, the patio area is huge, the couch is huge and finally, the Master Suite is huge!

Wonderful Gathering Spot

The perfect house !!

What a wonderful vacation for our whole family !! We had a large group of adults and grandkids - and there was truly something for everyone! You can tell the owners care and put alot of attention to detail and extra add-ons throughout the entire house. It was very clean and tidy and had loads of blankets and towels which was so appreciated ! A large gourmet kitchen fully stocked , 2 game rooms , kids books/toys , a huge pool and clean hot tub , king beds for every family as well as a castle bedroom for the kids to sleep! It was the perfect house ! Thank you to our host for being so quick to respond , kind to answer all of my questions , and letting us make core memories at their home. We will definitely be back and already are planning our trip next year ! Thank you Mara !

This property is amazing! It feels like the space is never ending. Everyone had their own bed. The house was stocked very well! The only complaint is that it is 30-35 min from Galena so it is quite a drive, but otherwise everything was perfect!!

Beautiful Place

The home was beautiful and very cozy. The beds were great with soft sheets. Lots of fuzzy blankets everywhere. We also really enjoyed the fireplace. The host was amazing with quick responses and making our stay wonderful.
