It's not always that an experience lives up to your hype and expectations, but this place absolutely does! The cabin is well-equipped and cozy, just like you'd want in the middle of the woods. The deck was a great place for our family to enjoy meals, roast marshmallows, and watch hummingbirds (so many hummingbirds!). A short walk takes you to a patio by the creek, or into the woods, or up into the hills (this turns into a not-so-short, punishingly steep hike).But it's really the treehouse that steals the show. As soon as you start walking over the bridge from the cabin to the treehouse, you know you're heading for something special. Every room makes great use of the space, so you never feel cramped despite being in a house squeezed between a few trees. The finishes are top-notch, and there's a lighting preset for every mood. Adults can make coffee and cocktails, while kids can play and climb up from the ground beneath the deck to the very top level.Finally, if you've got some time, take on the scavenger hunt. It might take you a while! But it is extremely clever and gets you to explore more nooks around the property.Suffice it to say, we had a great time and plan to stay again!

The Absolute Very BEST place to stay!

WOW!!! This was undeniably the best VRBO experience we have ever had—simply spectacular! This property is a gem beyond compare!From the instant we stepped foot on this property, the love and attention to every detail was apparent. The main cabin's expansive windows, both in the living space and the loft, framed views of the forest outside. The kitchen was well stocked, and we used the grill outside even though there was more than a foot of snow on the ground. The sound system indoors and out was amazing along with phenomenal lighting all around us. And THE TREEHOUSE! The treehouse offered a truly one of a kind experience. It is designed so beautifully, with every amenity, and the craftsmanship is stunningly perfect. Our family thoroughly enjoyed feeding the many birds around the cabin. We even fed the friendly squirrel that came around for some nuts. The scavenger hunt was also very fun and challenging. We played many games and enjoyed the fire from the pellet stove.This has been our absolute favorite place to stay! Brian is an exceptional host and we cannot wait to return for the summer to witness 100's of hummingbirds, enjoy the outdoor scavenger hunt, the creek and many hiking trails. Thank you for everything! We couldn't have picked a better place to celebrate a birthday and engagement!!

Amazing Cabin/Treehouse Experience!

This cabin/treehouse is so cute and comfortable! We had the best time as a family completing the magical treasure hunt that the owners put so much thought & effort into creating. We had a wonderful time creating family memories that we will take with us forever. We can’t wait to come back!

Dream treehouse/cabin + best experience

Brian went above and beyond to make our stay fun and comfortable. The pictures online are accurate and the cabin was perfect for our family. The new treehouse is beyond anything… truly exceptional in all ways. We had the best time feeding the birds, hiking the private trail, listening to the creek and cooking in the well stocked kitchen. WiFi and sound system worked seamlessly. Book this place!!!! You won’t regret it!

Amazing Cabin Getaway

The attention to detail was incredible, and it's clear the owners take great pride in making this place unique. The treehouse offers a truly special experience, while the main cabin's large windows beautifully showcase the natural forest surroundings. At night, the property lights create a spectacular ambiance. We loved relaxing by the creek, taking short hikes around the grounds, and unwinding in the treehouse. Easy access to Golden Gate Canyon State Park and Black Hawk for some extra entertainment. Will return again soon.

Amazing Experience!!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

WOW!!! This was the best VRBO we’ve ever stayed, it was spectacular! The cabin is super cozy and clean, the kitchen is well stocked and easy to use. THE TREEHOUSE is amazing! The design and craftsmanship are beautiful! All is as advertised, but better. Thank you, Brian, we loved our stay and hope to return.

Grandgirls Trip

OMG! This was my 3rd annual trip with 4 teen grandgirls and it was the only one we felt an emotional bond to the building and site! The place was so updated with technology and electronics yet very personable with instructions on how to use. The scavenger hunts (inside and outside) were very well thought out and challenging enough ( like and escape room) for 4 teenagers to b entertained for hours. Brian was an excellent host and has put so many comfortable, personal touches to the cabin and treehouse that we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Thank you so much for such a memorable experience.

Escape from it all!

Truly a unique experience and such a pleasure. Our family road trip escaping the heat and this is the perfect place! Treasure hunts, hiking trails, streams, fishing, rafting, stories of the town and area, HUMMINGBIRD paradise, and great owners. The treehouse will blow you away and I already miss the hummingbirds.

Just WOW

I don’t know where to begin! This property was amazing! The treasure hunts are for real yall.....use your brain on vacation lol We hiked the beautiful mountain and used metal detector to hunt for unusual old things on the property(we didn’t find the ring) the owners of this property are the best we have found yet! So helpful and amazing! You can tell they definitely care about this property & you! One of the best places we have stayed and i hope the owners know how thankful we are! Go in the summer you won't be disappointed if you love hummingbirds (100's of them) Thanks again for everything!! Y'all Rock!

The ultimate get away from the real world! Owners attention to detail is impressive! The hiking out your back door was perfect ! We never felt the need to leave the property! Well , we did enjoy exploring the mountain trails via RZR ‘s !!!! Hummingbirds were amazing ! I have never seen so many ! We enjoyed the river ! ( my crazy family actually got in the water for a cold plunge?!?) apparently people pay lots of money for that ???😂 awesome vacation , we will be talking about it for years !!!

Family Get Away

I can’t even start to explain how beautiful this place is! We are from CO/SD, and it was a great getaway for me and my family visiting from the Netherlands. The property has so many amenities, and we had a blast playing the scavenger hunt. Such an incredible place and the host was very friendly and helpful. Truly recommend stay at the home. Thank you!

Must Stay!

This property was immaculate! My family and I stayed for a week and loved every minute. We fell asleep at night to the sound of the creek. We spent 1 day doing the indoor treasure hunt and another doing the outdoor treasure hunt. Definitely worth the time. We will be recommending this property to everyone we know

Just.....Fantastic!

I wanted someplace fun to celebrate my 60 trips around the sun, and found this sweet property to rent for the weekend, and I couldn't have made a better choice. The cabin, the treehouse, the grounds, the treasure hunt, the location was top notch. The owners were great to work with, and the care and craftsmanship they have put into this property is pretty stunning. Our thanks to the owners for a great weekend!

Exquisite!

This place is absolutely amazing. Hidden in the gorgeous mountains and surrounded by the fragrant picturesque evergreens… it does not disappoint. There is the utmost attention to detail that just puts the icing on the cake. We absolutely loved the treehouse. It is a memory we will never forget, and we hope to come back again soon. (haven’t decided yet if we actually want to share this treasure with the kids or not!) It was worth every penny!

Dream cabin in the woods

Everything was advertised! We brought groceries to cook our own meals and the kitchen had exactly everything we needed. It was very relaxing to have the fire going with a picturesque snow outside. Communication was fantastic as well. My wife will certainly be going home to train our local birds to eat out of our hands now!

Treehouse dreams come true!

We’ve had a goal to stay in a treehouse so when we found this we were so excited. The photos don’t really do the property justice. The cabin is rustic and cozy and the treehouse is gorgeous and modern. There was a fun treasure hunt in the house. The house is easy to get to and also feels totally secluded. We had a great time and can’t wait to go back in the summer!

Awesome experience

The location was great. It was beautiful inside and out. Owner was nice and keeps in touch. There is a treasure that keeps kids and adults occupied. Will be coming back again!
