We came into the cabin and right away the smoke detector was beeping We called the office and they sent someone out right away. They were so nice. Definitely will be back soon.

Sensational Summit Sanctuary

The game room, theater room, sauna and hot tub added to the ideal location for a Gatlinburg-Pigeon Forge vacation. The three bedroom cabin allowed our group of 7 plenty of room for the boys on the bottom floor, the girls upstairs and the chaperones on the main floor.

We have been vacationing for the last several years and have enjoyed every minute of our stay. This year unfortunately we had some small issues come up, I was able to contact the staff with no problems and the issues were were taken care quickly. Communication with the staff was outstanding and the cable guy who came out was even better. I can never say enough great things to say about Elk Springs, thank you.

Definitely washed all our dishes we used before we used them. The cabinets and drawers had crumbs in them. The water pressure is like a trickle. Not super kid friendly. Overall it was a good stay. Wonderful Stay

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We recently stayed in Summit Sanctuary, and I can’t say enough great things about our experience. The cabin was clean and there was plenty to do within to keep the kids entertained and allow the adults to relax. The kitchen was well stocked with tools we needed to feed ourselves during our stay. I was so impressed with Elk Springs communication and responsiveness about check in/out, and the ease of being able to text with questions about the property and have a prompt response. They went out of their way to make sure we had a nice time. My only regret is no booking a longer stay. We will definitely be back.

Make sure you’re getting what you asked for

I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Beautiful cabin, however, not as advertised. And worth a cockroach in the upstairs bed. Did not find Airbnb nor elk Springs to do anything about any problem that we had the dryer didn’t work correctly, the sink in the basement didn’t have cold water and the hot tub needed repair and when my bag was unintentionally left there, of course no one found it however, it was the only place that we stayed. Housekeeping apparently feels what they find is theirs.

We had a few issues such as burnt out lightbulbs and some dirty areas of the house where maybe the cleaning crew was rushed or just check the necessary areas?!? Not sure. The hot tub was nice. The light did not work. We could never get the sauna to heat up. It was always just a lukewarm feel.We loved the movie room and pool table. Overall, I said we would recommend, but we would “maybe” recommend coming back and trying again but not the same cabin. We enjoyed the peacefulness, and not being right in the hustle and bustle of Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge.

There were dirty towels in the washing machine. The countertop in the bathroom were not cleaned properly. There were dirty dishes in the cabinet. The oven is dirty. There was food in the window in the window sill. In general the cabin needed to be dusted and e a deep cleaning. Overall, the cabin could have been cleaned better. I would not recommend staying here.

Nice but there were a few issues

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The check in was easy, upon entering the cabin it appeared clean but definitely needed some dusting and window cleaning. We all got together for Superbowl weekend and right in the middle of the game the roof started leaking water right in the middle of the kitchen and the fireplace stopped working, this was Sunday we checked in two days prior on Friday. The response was quick and the fireplace was fixed but the roof had to be seen by a contractor. There was also a cabin nearby being worked on and it was kinda loud. Towards the end of the trip I was sent a text message with a deal for another night so I reached out to customer service because although the response to our issues was prompt I still feel like something should have been done about the inconvenience. I never heard back from anyone, which I am very disappointed about because I am a return customer and I also brought future customers with me on this trip.

Great location and perfect for the family!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My family of 5 stayed at Summit Sanctuary over the 4th of July holiday and really enjoyed our stay. The location was great and allowed quick and easy access to downtown Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, Cades Cove Loop, the Arts and Crafts Community, etc. The cabin was as it was described, so no major surprises at all regarding expectations of what was advertised. The theatre room was great, so if that's something you're looking for, this property fits the bill. Sauna worked well, as did the hot tub. We cooked a number of our meals and the kitchen was well equipped with just about everything needed, and the grill outside was hooked up to a natural gas line so no problems running out of gas in the middle of grilling either.Of course, not everything is 100% perfect, but you have to expect that from a property like this. Some lightbulbs were out in the kitchen and on the microwave, but the maintenance team took quick care of those which was great. The floors themselves, both inside and out on the deck, weren't fully cleaned off and we found a few different instances where broken glass pieces were found in the bedroom and out on the main deck. Luckily no major stabs, but a bit more attention to cleaning would be ideal. The grill is showing it's age and the igniter is gone, so look for a lighter in the kitchen. Water pressure is rough... the rain shower heads work more like a drizzle so expect a bit longer to rinse. The other main issue we had was the main floor shower leaking into the lower level bathroom, as well as the ceiling in the kitchen leaking when it rained. Both were reported to maintenance but unfortunately it doesn't look like they were fixed so expect to only use 2 of 3 bathrooms.Overall though, we were pleased with the cabin for the price and the location and resort area was great!

This cabin was amazing for our family vacation. Plenty of room for adults and kids. We loved the hot tub, pool table and. The theater room. Only thing is downstairs stays ice cold. We can’t wait to book this cabin again!!!

Nice and peaceful

A few notes for improvement: as it had snowed prior to our visit, there were some roads that were impassible without 4WD/AWD. We had to help some folks who were stuck (front wheel drive VAN no enough traction). It would be prudent to not just recommend a route for traffic purposes, but specify mandatory vehicle requirements and best route for snow.The unit as well is best heated by only using the lower heating unit; close the mid floor vents and turn off the upstairs heat. Everything goes up from the lower floor. Otherwise, the bottom floor is freezing and the top is baking.
