Rare Private Heated Pool w/in 1.5 Blocks to the Beach!

The Blue Butterfly II is the sister property to Miller Beach’s top vacation getaway, The Blue Butterfly. The Blue Butterfly II is a 2,200 square foot home with two floors of living with a walk-out basement. The house features five bedrooms, two updated baths, a well-stocked kitchen with stainless steel appliances, stackable washer & dryer, a large backyard, Internet & cable, four flat screen televisions, a Weber charcoal grill, a high chair, playpen and an 18 foot above ground pool.

Floor one features bedroom one with a new queen memory foam mattress, a 40-inch flat screen television and a large walk-in closet. The first floor also features bedroom two with a new queen memory foam mattress and bedroom three with new bunk beds (1 twin and 1 full). In addition, the first floor includes a fully equipped kitchen, a full bathroom, a dining room and a living room.

The lower level features bedrooms four and five as well as another living space, new bathroom with shower and a laundry room. Bedroom four is a jumbo bedroom with a new queen memory foam mattress, a full-size futon, a 40 inch flat screen television and walkout sliding glass doors. Bedroom 5 features a new queen size memory foam mattress, a bay window and “his and her” closets. The living space features a 50 inch flat screen television, BluRay/DVD and board games. The bathroom is bright and modern with subway tiles and new fixtures. The laundry room features a stackable washer and dryer and a utility sink.

The backyard is spacious, enfenced (4ft chain fence) and features a patio set and four lounge chairs on a deck that overlooks an 18 foot above ground pool that is heated in Mid-May, September, and October. The patio leading up to the deck has a Weber charcoal grill. The Blue Butterfly II accommodates parking for six. Please be respectful of our neighbors by following pool hours, quiet hours, their privacy, their parking and their homes.

Property was as advertised. Location was great. We were in the pool or at the beach. Great for family or couples. Plenty of room. The deck is not attached to the house, so a lot of stairs involved. Inside does not flow into outside.

Relaxing and fun

Met up with some high school friends and our families for some R&R. Chose this property because of the reviews, location, and pool. Plenty of space for everyone to have their own room. AC kept the place very comfortable. Lots of towels. The place is showing its age and some of the dishes weren’t the cleanest when we arrived, so make sure to give everything a good look before you use it. If you’re looking for a comfortable and safe place to stay within walking distance to a clean and beautiful beach, this place is the ticket. (Fair warning for young families that if you’re looking to go to Flamingos down the street, it’s 21+. You can order take-out though.)

Fantastic place for a family trip!

Great house!! Clean and well maintained and updated. This is our second stay here and the house is freshly painted and there is new flooring. Very quick and friendly response to questions and concerns. Quick walk to the beach. We had 9 plus a baby and there was room at the table for all of us. We used a portable baby bed that is on-site for a 6 month old boy. The deck and pool area are a fun place to hang out. We also made s’mores at the fire pit. Very fun!!

Great Place

This was a great mini vacation with my siblings and the house was amazing! So clean roomy everything we needed. The pool was fantastic! Loved very short walk to the beach and to the two restaurants (both fantastic) and little store that had everything!!

Great House...Great Location!

The property was everything we could have hoped for. Even with one of our days filled with rain, the house, the games, and the foosball table gave us everything we needed for a great time. We can't wait to come back.

Miller besch

Fantastic home with plenty of space. Kitchen was very well supplied if you wanted to cook, which we did. Access to a grill was great…my husband loves to grill. The pool in the back yard was an added bonus if you don’t feel like making the 5-10 minute walk to the beautiful shores of Lake Michigan. 2 good restaurants are a 2-3 minute walk. The hosts were very responsive when communicating. Overall, a 10 out of 10 rating!😎😎

Great beach trip

My family (myself, my husband, 4 kids 20-27 and 2 significant others) came to Miller Beach for our family vacation. We had a great time. The beach is only 2 blocks away and an easy walk. I don't know if the kids were back in school in the area but there were few other people on the beach. There are beach toys and chairs we could use which was a nice bonus. The pool was awesome although the week we were there it was a little chilly for a lot of swimming. There was plenty of room for everyone and the table easily fit 8 for dinner and board games. We had a little issue with the couch but apparently it wasn't put back together correctly so that wasn't an ongoing issue. I would have liked to have check in procedures a bit sooner. I requested them a couple days ahead. The owner said they send them out the day before although she sent them to me no problem. I got another email with them about 12 hours ahead of check in so I guess that's the usual.

Family vacation

House is in a great location for walk to the beach. Pool was great and big hit with both the children and adults. Bedrooms are good size and accommodated us well for 6 adults and 3 kids. Great communication with owner. Will consider this property again if we vacation in this area. Also an hour drive to downtown Chicago for an easy day trip.

Best stocked VRBO home we have ever stayed in

We have stayed at numerous VRBO homes and this home by far was the best stocked we have stayed in. Lots of food supplies, keurig cups, towels, beach towels, rafts for the pool, propane grill, etc. The home was as advertised and the pool was great. The home was located within minutes of Miller Beach and also located within minutes walking to 2 wonderful restaurants - Flamingo Pizza and Beach Cafe. Great experience!!!!

Great vacation!

Extremely well-equipped! Need something in the kitchen? Look around, it's probably there. The beach is not crowded. Fun and pretty easy to take the train to Chicago for a visit. Very close to Indiana Dunes National Park and a short drive to Indiana Dunes State Park. We liked disc golfing at Marquette Park less than a mile away. The pool and the deck are great places to relax! My family loved it! The owner is very responsive to questions.

Well stocked family getaway home

We enjoyed our trip to Miller Beach and this well-stocked home. Had a minor snafu initially getting info about the entry code/getting into the house, but Elizabeth was very responsive to all our questions and very helpful. The pool is nice and I felt safe that my smaller children would not have access unless I let them (there are locks to get onto the patio and then again from the patio to pool area). One of the bedrooms on the main floor has a walk-in closet are that made a nice "bedroom" for our toddler next to our bed, and we appreciated all the "extras" for kids provided with the house (pool floaties, big beach wagon, and toys, books, etc.) Very well stocked, with tons of towels. Beach access is an easy walk that my 5 year old could manage with no complaints; the toddler needed the wagon. Lots of parking out front that fit our 3 vehicles easily. We had 5 adults and 3 kids and all fit around the dining room table (included the provided high chair!); more might have been a bit of a squeeze. I would recommend this place, and if we do a repeat trip to Miller Beach again would re-book.

Family vacation spot

Our group of 10, including 3 kids under 7 yrs and a dog, had a fantastic time during our 3 night stay. The pool was great, there were tons of floaties available and I really appreciated the deck being partitioned off from the pool itself since I have a newly walking 1 year old. The beach was a short walk and it was so nice to have towels, sand toys, beach chairs and a wagon available to bring. It is a beautiful beach and wasn’t crowded at all, even on the weekend. The house itself was super well stocked, the beds were comfortable and the showers were very nice. Elizabeth provided us with a very detailed guide to the area which was super helpful. Everyone we came into contact with in the area was very friendly. We all had a wonderful and relaxing stay, I highly recommend this area and house for a nice getaway!

Nice place

Second time staying here. Extremely well stocked home. Pretty much anything you need is provided. Short walk to beach, we really enjoyed the pool and deck area around pool. Fenced back yard. Nice size dinning table, lots of space, games, toys, beach supplies and TV’s, good wireless. Property manager is very responsive and helpful!

Family Vacation 2022

Our family (including 3 teenagers and a 9 yr old) stayed at this property for a family vacation. Everything abou the house and the week we stayed was beyond our expectations. Our kids loved it because they all had their own rooms. The basement was a great place for everyone to hang out as well. Anything and everything you need is at your fingertips. The beach was a very quick 2 block walk, easily accessible, clean, and not overly busy. When we were pulling away for the week our 16 year old asked if we could come back here every year for vacation.

We love this house and location. House is clean and comfortable. It has everything you need. Plenty of space for us and friends. We find tons of activities in the area. Elizabeth is easy to communicate with and nearby. The beach is sandy and clean and not jammed. Neighborhood is quiet and safe. The house has everything you need too. This is our second summer visit to this home. Highly recommend! A+++++
