Zur Schmiede - Alpchalet EG in Kaltenbrunn

Located on the grounds of an old blacksmith’s shop, you’ll find the cozy Alpine-style “Alpchalet EG” vacation apartment (for up to 4 people) and the stylish “Alploft 1” duplex vacation apartment (for up to 11 people).
The “Alpchalet EG” vacation rental, approximately 70 m² in size, is located on the first floor of a chalet-style house and welcomes you with Bavarian coziness. The heart of the apartment is the traditionally furnished living and dining area with a fireplace and an open, fully equipped kitchen. For a restful night’s sleep after an eventful day of vacation, there is a cozy bedroom and a pull-out sofa bed in the living room. A rustic bathroom invites you to relax, and you can enjoy the fresh mountain air on the furnished terrace with a grill. Your four-legged friends are also warmly welcome.
You can park your car right next to the house, and there’s plenty of storage space available for bicycles and skis as well.
The central location between Garmisch-Partenkirchen and Mittenwald, in the small Garmisch district of Kaltenbrunn, is the perfect starting point for a wide range of activities in every season: long walks around the nearby lakes, hikes, and mountain bike tours during the warmer months, as well as unlimited skiing and snowboarding fun in the winter. The entrance to the cross-country ski trail network and the Kaltenbrunn Biathlon Stadium—the home venue of our local Olympic champions—are within walking distance. Alpine skiers can enjoy the “Garmisch Classic” and “Zugspitze” ski areas—with their varied slopes and unique scenery—just a few minutes’ drive away.
By car or public transportation, you can reach the Olympic Ski Stadium with the Olympic ski jump, the Partnach Gorge, the Hausberg and Eckbauer cable cars, and the historic Ludwigstraße in Partenkirchen in just a few minutes. The pedestrian zone in Garmisch—with its various shopping options, tourist information office, spa gardens, casino, theater, and more—as well as Mittenwald, the town famous for its violin makers, are definitely worth a visit.
