This listing is for condo #2. Condos 1 and 4 are on the ground floor which share a shaded cement patio, condos 2 and 3 are on the second floor which share a deck, all four overlooking the Yellowstone River. Each condo is equipped with outdoor furniture and a BBQ grill.

Welcome to your basecamp for your southwest Montana/ Yellowstone vacation! We have a very friendly manager and staff should you need anything during your stay.
Located on the banks of the Yellowstone River, 11 miles north of Gardiner, Montana, Yellowstone Riverfront Condos offer a unique vacation opportunity!

There are four 2-bedroom, 1 bath units in this two-story structure; each unit has a laundry room, WIFI, two private entrances, gas grill, and expansive outdoor areas with a riverfront view that perfectly captures the sunsets in Yankee Jim Canyon. These units can be rented individually or are perfect for large groups needing an entire floor or the whole building. There is also a private trail to the river for fishing access on the Yellowstone River. Each unit sleeps 4; the beds can be configured as kings or XL twins.

The property is located at historic Slip & Slide Ranch established in 1908 and still operated by the Rigler family. From the unit, you can see the historic rock barn featured in the Montana publication, Hand Raised: The Barns of Montana. In addition, wild Yellowstone bison, which are part of a national bison testing program, graze in the meadow by the main ranch buildings and are easily and safely viewed from the condo site.

The ranch borders thousands of acres of public land with hiking opportunities that can accommodate any skill set. The historic OTO Dude Ranch is a popular trail; hiking the now publicly owned part of the old Slip & Slide Ranch provides two glimpses into Montana ranching and accommodation history. Both hikes provide ample wildlife viewing as well as an opportunity to explore areas outside of Yellowstone Park which are often less traveled than popular Yellowstone Park trails.

The central location allows you to enjoy Yellowstone Hot Springs, 3 miles away, and Chico Hot Springs, 20 miles away. We are also just a short drive to Livingston, Montana where there is a wealth of fine dining, shopping, and art galleries.

This is a beautiful, well appointed, clean and very comfortable condo with gorgeous views from the back (the picture here does not exaggerate) and bison across the street in a field managed by the government. The kitchen is more than sufficient and the beds were incredibly comfortable.The condo is located on the main road leading into Gardiner and Yellowstone —on the plus side it is a beautiful 10 or so minute drive into Gardiner and on the other hand we did hear traffic at various times of day. But even as someone who likes quiet I was not really bothered by it.The owner responded immediately when we had a question about the dishwasher and resolved the situation (user error!) right away.Very very highly recommend this property!

Perfect location to Yellowstone & wonderful accommodations. We loved coming back to our home base after every park outing. The beds were so comfortable, the kitchen was stocked with everything we needed to prep meals and the view of the Yellowstone River below was glorious! Our host, Susan was so responsive with any questions and the views and wildlife on the water was a big plus!

We had a great stay! The place was really nice, clean, and secluded — just what our family was looking for. It felt like the perfect getaway, it was about an hour and half away from Old Faithful just to give an idea how far it is from the parks. Half hour from Mammoth. We would definitely stay again!

We were very satisfied and will definitely stay again once we visit. It was a very peaceful and amazing overlook of the Yellowstone river. I would suggest that anyone visiting Yellowstone stay at this establishment, the owners were very friendly and helpful. The place was extremely clean. I would highly recommend this establishment to friends and family. Can’t wait to visit again thank you..

Home Away from Home

This was my first time using VRBO and we had a fantastic experience. We LOVED this condo along the river so much! It had everything we needed and felt like home. Communication with the owner was great! They gave us detailed instructions on how to get in the unit and even let us in early since they had it ready and we arrived ahead of schedule. We appreciated the well thought out material the owners put together telling you about the area and making suggestions on where to eat or activities in the area. My adult kids went horseback riding at the place recommended and we tried the recommended restaurants as well. We weren’t disappointed! The drive to Gardiner was not too long and getting into the park from the North entrance was much easier than the West, where we had stayed in the past. We grilled on the back deck a couple of times which was nice and cooked meals in the kitchen as well. They have provided some spices and cooking necessities to make that easier. We watched the Buffalo out the front windows and elk in the back along the river. We had a wonderful time! I’m going to save this property for the next time we want to journey to the park! I highly recommend it!

Yellowstone Vacation

This was one of the most well-stocked places we have stayed. Super convenient. We had to cut our trip short a day because of a medical emergency but hope to come back and finish it. Will definitely book this place again!

Wonderful get away

We spent three days here during our Yellowstone vacation. We had spent 3 full days in Yellowstone and were ready to relax. The condo is nice and well appointed. We use VRBO a lot and we’re impressed with this place. The kitchen was nicely stocked with spices and kitchen basics. We had some trouble with the TV and the management responded immediately, we really enjoyed using the patio and yard to sit and enjoy the river. The location is about 30 minutes from the North Gate. It is also a beautiful drive to Livingston and Bozeman. I highly recommend this condo.

Best view in town

We did not want to leave the property. This is just 10 minutes north of the north entrance into Yellowstone park. Outside the front window are bison on a farm and Yellowstone river is in the backyard. So nice and clean. They had everything you need in the condo. We will definitely stay there again. Thank you for making our stay so enjoyable.

Great Family Spot

This property was perfect for us and our two seven year old children. We ordered curbside in Livingston and pick it up on the way from the airport. The cooking setup was perfect for burgers, steaks, pasta, and casseroles. The rooms were setup as requested and the bathroom was adequate. The air-conditioning was great during the day and we slept with the windows open at night. Plenty of towels, paper products, trash bags, and laundry products for our 10 day visit.

Wonderful view

My family enjoyed our stay at the property. The view was magnificent and the accommodations were above expectations. Great proximity to Gardiner and the North gate of Yellowstone. The property manager was helpful with great advice on places to see outside of the park.

Fabulously Comfortable

This condo was very clean, excellently maintained and very well stocked in the kitchen. The beds were amazing, the location is great - quiet, beautiful views, close enough to Yellowstone North entrance, Gardiner, Livingston, and just over an hour to Bozeman. It was exactly what we needed, in fact, we stayed an extra couple of days and will stay there again next time we are in Montana. Thank you, Tanya, for the quick responses and attention to details.

Great location with beautiful scenery

This condo is immaculate with everything needed for a stay. It is a very short drive to the North Entrance to Yellowstone Park. We loved watching the Bison herd on the property across the road. The Backyard deck is right on the banks of the Yellowstone River and has patio furniture and a propane grill. The property manager responds quickly to any questions. The condo is one of 4 units housed in the same building. The kitchen is fully furnished with many extra touches including a blender, toaster, coffee maker and crockpot. The kitchen has a nice assortment of spices and some other dry goods. Other extras include a full-size washer and dryer and all laundry products, bear spray to take into the park if needed, and nice linens. Toiletries like shampoo, conditioner and soap as well as a blow dryer and bathrobes are provided. This property is a great place to stay for visiting Yellowstone. You can easily reach any point in the parking in less than 2 hours including the southern entrance.

Comfy & cozy

The condo unit is basic and the manager provides ALL the basics. Was impressed with bathroom amenities, a nice stock of spaces in the cabinets. All paper products are provided. Even though we were informed that Verizon was the phone carrier, we were able to text and make phone calls out of area to friends on our AT&T iPhone. The location was perfect for getting in and out of the park every day. And we surely took advantage of the Yellowstone thermal baths (amidst beautiful surroundings) just 3 miles down the road.
