Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

A let down

When we first arrived things looked surface clean, but on closer inspection the showers needed a good scrub down and the baseboards in all the bathrooms needed to be cleaned. The beds were horrible, it seemed like they were mostly bed toppers. The stove only had two burners that worked. There are three bathrooms there and only one hair dryer. This is not one we will stay at again. will stay at againtha

Driveway

The driveway is steep for a trailer. We could park our 25’ ski boat at the house. There is no parking on the road. Not recommend for large boat trailers

Lovely Bear Lake house

The house was a bit of a drive from the lake but totally worth the beautiful views from the back deck and main living room and dining area. House is clean and well furnished with a good layout and nice style. My only real complaint is that the 3 basement bedrooms all have to share one bathroom. That was a bit awkward for the 6 adults who stayed in the basement. The master bedroom upstairs has an en suite bath, and the bunk room has its own bath.

Enjoyed the layout of the house. We were to do group activities and still had private time. On arrival we found the home spotless. We were given the opportunity for early check in. A great place to stay.

Not a cook’s kitchen

The views are stunning and the house is beautiful, but I would not recommend this to someone who wants to cook. The kitchen layout is awful. The stove and refrigerator back onto each other and are in a major walkway. I worried that my small grandchildren would be hurt running behind me while I cooked. A lot of attention and money has gone into decorative accessories, but the dishes and serving bowls were made of the cheapest plastic. I suspect they came from the dollar store. That being said, any time spent at Bear Lake is a great time!

Great views! Gorgeous home! But little communication or response from Vacasa.

I would love to give this home 5 stars. This home has a great view of the lake. The covered deck provided shade & protection from the elements. The home is beautiful, new, & in a great location. We enjoyed grilling & spending time out on the deck during our stay. It was clean & somewhat stocked. There is plenty of room to spread out. It is a great space for adult couples, families, or for a girls or boys weekend. But there are cons: This is a newer VRBO, so perhaps everything wasn't ready when we stayed there (June 2022). The unit says they have a coffee maker, which they did, but they didn't have any coffee mugs or mugs of any type. Hopefully this has been updated since our stay. If you are a wine drinker, there were no wine glasses or wine opener. If you want to enjoy your morning cup of coffee, tea, cocoa or an adult beverage in the evening while taking in the view, be prepared that they only have plastic or acrylic cups. As for the kitchen/pantry, there are minimal grilling utensils. The pantry had paper products, foil, saran wrap, storage bags, salt & pepper & oil. Really no other spices, be prepared to bring your own. The beds are so so, a bit too soft, especially in the master. It seemed like it was just a mattress topper. The master bed was low to the ground & could make it difficult to get in and out of. Most VRBOs have instructions on how things like the TV, fireplace & other equipment work in the home, but instructions were very minimal or non-existent. The fire place was not operable & the TV was not user friendly. The amenities said it had a hair dryer, but I never found it. Several lamps didn’t have light bulbs, which was odd. There were so many light switches, I still have no idea what light switches turned on what, in some cases. Like I said, this was a newer home, perhaps it was still in need of some finishing touches. The cons I mentioned above are small & perhaps are a preference or a mild annoyance. But the biggest con & the main reason I cannot give this property 5 stars, was the lack of communication with Vacasa. When we stayed there, the property had no reviews. I tried reaching out to Vacasa before our trip with a few questions about the home & it's amenities & never received a response. It seems that the customer service experience is lacking. I have never experienced this with other VRBO properties. I hope they improve this, customer service is important to the overall experience and stay.
