When booking through VRBO you will need to select 'pet' in the area you enter the number of adults and children, this will add our $175 pet fee to your reservation total. Also, if you are booking with Expedia and bringing a pet be sure to indicate it through the Expedia reservation and prepare to Venmo or Zelle or provide cash for the $175 pet fee.
Please come and enjoy a relaxing stay at our beachfront home. Our home; “Moondance” is located in the Sea Isle community! VRBO automatically added info that states that the house is less than 15 min walk to the beach, which is incorrect as this house sits directly on the beach. The water is just steps away.
You will enjoy wonderful views from this Beach House. Moondance’s design allows for a great view of the ocean and beach from all rooms of the house excluding the laundry room and two restrooms.
Start your day with a cup of coffee from your own private upper level deck just off your king bedroom. Coffee in one hand and an amazing view will bring peace into your life. Guests staying in the downstairs king bedroom will open their sliding patio doors, climb back into their king bed and enjoy the ocean view from the comfort of their cozy bed.
Most guests enjoy starting their day on the main deck enjoying the morning breakfast from the deck’s dining table while feeling the ocean breeze. The upstairs king bed bedroom has a walk out deck with two lounge chaises for sunning. Endless view of the beach east and west. Gorgeous view! The large sliding glass door provides a great view of the ocean from the bed.
Enjoy lunchtime in the dining room, main level patio or one of two picnic tables and a kids picnic table, located at ground level. Remember you are on the beach so don’t rule out a picnic on the beach. If you forget to pack the mustard in the basket, no problem, just take a few steps and you are back in the kitchen.
Your vacation home can sleep 9. We have three bedrooms. Two bedrooms face the ocean and have comfortable king beds. The bunk room has one twin/twin bunk and one twin/full bunk. This rooms sleeps 5 total. Each bedroom is tastefully decorated to enhance your beach stay. All bedrooms have their own closets and laminate flooring. Each bedroom includes a TV with the options to roku streaming and fresh linens on the beds.
Each level has its own full bath and shower combo.
The den provides great views of the ocean and is open to the kitchen and dining areas. We have two large sofas with 2 reclining seats on each end of the sofas (4 recliners). The den, dining and kitchen have ceramic tile floors.
The kitchen is furnished with all your cooking needs. We have provided all pots, pans, and utensils to cook and eat from. Load up on groceries before you get to the home or you can shop at a couple of stores about 6 miles from the house. Dollar General or Seven Seas Grocery. Walmart, Kroger and Randall's Grocery stores are about a 20 min drive from the house into Galveston.
The home also has a washer and dryer located in the laundry room for your use and detergent as well as ironing board.
The home has two nice viewing decks located ocean side. The upper private deck is just off the upper king bedroom. This sun deck is perfect for morning coffee;, sunning or moonlight privacy. The main deck has patio doors leading from the den and the lower king bedroom. This deck has an outside dining area and a separate sitting area for beach gazing. Both of these decks are self-contained, meaning they are only accessible from the inside of the home, great for kids and dogs.
The lower area below the home provides a clean and open feel for our guests. We have half of the area decked and the other half concreted where two picnic tables await you. This area is a great place for you to enjoy a large crab/crawfish boil. The underside is well lighted and cater to your outside cooking style. You can either use a gas grill or a charcoal grill. We will provide propane, however if you prefer the charcoal grill please bring your briquettes and lighter fluid. Down here you have a hot water shower provided to wash off the sand you will carry back from the beach.
Parking is easy. We have parking just outside of the front door making carrying your luggage and food easy to do. All you have to do is park; walk up the ground level stairs and into the house.
The beach is what you come for. Miles of it to view from left to right. We are located near a public beach where a few locals enjoy their time. The easy access from the house straight onto the beach is a guest favorite. This home is located in a very quiet part of the island. You can have a peace of mind when allowing your kids to play. There is a 'no vehicles on the beach' rule. The only allowance is for golf carts with a handicap sign, that have permission to drop off persons on the beach, then park in the public parking area. If cars or carts are found parking/driving, the police usually show up pretty quickly.
Your needs are also met with cable TV, Blu-ray DVD player and high speed internet.
Our home is part of the Sea Isle community. If you want to take the children to a controlled swimming area, you can purchase a family and friend pass for $100 for up to 10ppl for 7 days.
Arrangements can be made allowing use of the Sea Isle Community. Sea Isle has great amenities, community pool which is open from Memorial Day through Labor Day. They offer a first-class restaurant serving a variety of steak and seafood dishes. You will find a full service marina where you can buy bait, gasoline and a fishing license.
Jamaica Beach is just down the road and you can find other restaurants which offer delicious budget-friendly island meals. Nate's seafood has a not only seafood, but great burgers. Way West Grill is a fan favorite for burgers and pizzas. They deliver to the house, or curbside pick up.
Pirates Beach, is another few miles towards Galveston from the house, which has a seafood market (Alex Seafood Market) as well as Mario's Pizza. Our personal fav pizza. Mario's delivers to the house.
Enjoy a relaxing coastal drive into Galveston where you will have plenty of shopping along the Sea Wall or downtown on the Strand. Take in a movie, play miniature golf, or race a Go Cart. Galveston now has “The Pleasure Pier” where you can find thrilling fun and great eating.
Take Harbor Drive on the weekend and check out the line of restaurants, shops and cruise ships.
Other popular attractions in Galveston are the Schlitterbahn Water Park, Moody Gardens, and Airport Museum.
