Coastal Haven is a classic Texas beach home located on a pristine stretch of Indian Beach. A quiet cul-de-sac and second-row access to the ocean provides a serene backdrop to your holiday by the sea. This sprawling home has three luxurious levels, multiple bedroom suites with private bathrooms, sun-drenched decks, a charcoal grill, an outdoor shower, and a built-in, beach-facing bar. With enough space for 25 of your friends and family, Coastal Haven will put your whole group on cloud nine.

Location: Indian Beach community of Galveston, Texas

Beach access: The community beach access point is just a few houses down, a quick walk away!

Community Amenities: Guests are able to access the Jamaica Beach community pool (open Memorial Day thru Labor Day - $5 per person) and city park, which is a 5-minute drive away.

WINTER TEXAN RATE: If you’re trying to escape to the Gulf Coast for the winter. Please ask us about our reduced monthly rates October 1 - March 1.

Rent BeachBox: Looking for beach gear for your Galveston getaway? We have you covered! Beach chairs and tents can be ready at the house upon your arrival. Message us for details and rates.

Pest Control: Due to the coastal environment, mosquitoes & seasonal pests may be present. Professional pest control treatments are performed monthly.

WIFI: Free high-speed WIFI is available throughout the home.

Cable: We provide Roku with access to Sling TV for live television channels. Guests are welcome to log into their own Amazon Prime, Netflix, or other streaming service apps as well.

Pet policy: Up to 3 pets are welcome in our home with a $25 fee per pet. We ask that pets stay off all furniture, are cleaned up after in the yard, and aren't left alone inside the home unless in a crate or kennel. Please message us if you’re planning on bringing your furry friend!

Large Groups: We love hosting church groups and large family gatherings, however groups over the size of 16 guests must be approved prior to booking.

Parking: There is room for 6 cars in the driveway.

Party Policy: No parties are allowed at our home. Please look elsewhere if that is the intent of your trip.

Cancellation Policy: All cancellations are subject to a 3% credit card processing fee.

Age Requirement: Guests must be 24+ to book.

The main level great room is crisp and bright— with high ceilings and a wall of windows facing the open sea. The bright Texas coast sunshine illuminates the entire space. Two sofas face each other and create a lovely space for conversation and kicking back. Through the sliding glass doors lies the spacious, ocean-facing deck. Off the living area is a half bath, and around the corner is a bright and breezy bedroom with a king-size bed and sliding doors leading out to the deck. A full attached bathroom has a tub/shower combo.

On the third floor, the master suite is massive. Sink down into the luxe king-size bed after a long day on the water. Flowing white curtains frame the large windows that look out over the ocean. The master bathroom has a double vanity and a step-in shower with a glass door and detailed tile work. A second bedroom on the third level has a queen-size bed and full-over-full bunk bed, access to the deck, and an ensuite half bathroom. A laundry nook lies just around the corner. The third bedroom also has a queen-size bed and full-over-full bunk bed with an attached bathroom with a step-in shower.

Up on the sky-high fourth level, a fun bunk room and hang out space is tucked under the sloped ceiling. Two full-over-full bunks, a futon sofa, and a flatscreen television will be a hit with the kiddos and the video game fans.

On the ground level, a built-in bar faces the Gulf of Mexico and is illuminated by festive pub lights. Mix up a batch of frozen margaritas and settle in at one of the Adirondack-inspired bar stools. Serve some juicy burgers or a fresh catch of the day straight from the charcoal grill, then roast some s’ mores for dessert. For a stress-free beach day, the Indian Beach access point is a quick walk down the lane. And for an afternoon of fun or an evening on the town, Pleasure Pier and the Galveston Strand are a short drive away. Coastal Haven is a grand beach retreat with something for everyone.

House Rules:
- Guests must be 24+ to book the property.
- One-night stays must be approved.
- Groups larger than 16 need to be approved. We do not allow parties.
- Quiet hours are from 10pm-8am.
- Any damages to the house or property during your stay will result in a deduction or additional charge for the resulting repair/replacement cost.
- All pets must be approved by our team, stay off of all furniture, be cleaned up after in the yard, and not left alone inside the home unless in a kennel.
- No parking allowed on lawns, yards, empty grass lots or other neighbors’ driveways, even if their home appears unoccupied.
- Oversized vehicles/trailers are not permitted unless explicit approval has been received from our team.
- Do not turn the AC below 70 degrees. If you do, you will risk the AC unit freezing up, requiring it to thaw out which will result in the home getting extremely warm.
- Should an eviction occur due to breaking house rules (noise ordinance violations, excessive guests and/or vehicles beyond the agreed amount), there will be an $850 fine.

Great potential! Bad mold problem.

Very disappointed with the lack of maintenance in the home. Topically it was clean (floors, countertops,& linens) but needs a major mold removal and deep clean. 3 doors would not lock and a few balconies were shaky. Kitchen cabinets were covered in gunk. This house has so much potential but needs work. We left early due to mildew and mold allergies.

We enjoyed staying by the beach. However we weren't a fan of 3 levels of stair climbing with no elevator. Also the pictures were not a depiction of what was actually in the home. The living room furniture was very old and dirty, the washer and dryer was white and rusted not what was on the pictures, the dining room furniture was wooden (not what was on the pictures)and the balcony furniture that was on the pictures were not there, the bedroom with the two queen beds didn't exist. The 3rd floor bedroom has no windows and was very hot, no one slept up there. The bottom bunks were on the floor and hard for 55 year old's hard to get up out of. There was mold on the second floor hallway walls that had an odor so that needs to be repaired. However the kitchen had all the amenities you needed for cooking really liked that and location was great.

The property is nice, but is in real need of some repair (painting, mold in the downstairs shower and hot water heater closet). The cleaning crew only does the bare minimum inside the house. We found someone's old underwear and beer cans on the decks (the underwear is probably still there, because we didn't move them either!). There were sticky silverware and appliances in the kitchen. The 3rd floor "kids room" is a tiny attic space that barely has room to stand if your kids are over school-age; and the air conditioner in that space did not work. The air conditioner in the 1st floor bedroom was sitting on a towel that was soaking wet and was getting the wooden floor soaking wet. We texted the manager about the air situation, maintenance was supposed to come, but never did.

House of horrors

My stay at was extremely disappointing, and I feel compelled to express my concerns about the state of the house.Upon arrival, I was appalled to find the property in a shocking state of disrepair and neglect. The cleanliness of the house was far below acceptable standards, and it did not align with the luxury rental experience that VRBO promises. The following issues were particularly troubling:Food and drink stains all over the cabinets, making it clear that proper cleaning had not been done.Mold was visibly growing on surfaces in multiple areas, which is both unsanitary and concerning for health reasons.Dust and dirt were present throughout the house, including on furniture and shelves, indicating that no regular cleaning had been performed.The blinds were broken with multiple slats missing, making it impossible to block out light or have any privacy.The doors to the first-floor patio would not open properly, further compounding the frustration.The bathrooms were filthy, with faucets that hadn’t been wiped down in weeks and an overall unsanitary condition.Cockroaches were found in the kitchen, which is completely unacceptable.The dishes were all dirty, and several of the pots had leftover grease from the previous occupants.The kitchen drawers were unsanitary, and I had to rewash all the silverware before it could be used.I want a full refund.
