When I bought unit 1200 six years ago, the manager at the time said," Congratulations, you bought The Penthouse! That's what we call it". People at the Galvestonian still do.
When entering 1200, it's easy to see why people still refer to it as The Penthouse: there nothing like the feeling of having Nothing but Sky above, unlimited Gulf panoramas from the balcony on the left, in front, the entire northern end of Galveston Island, ships sailing in and out of Galveston Bay, the Bolivar Island in the distance, and Galveston Bay to the right. A real eagle's nest feeling, looking out from the balconies on three sides of the Galvestonian.
"Top of East Beach" has been repainted from the original institutional blue/grey to cheerful sunny colors, and the already attractive furniture and wall hangings, carefully updated.
The middle bedroom we converted to an office and back to a bedroom, so we just added dark roll down shades which can blackout the room during the night, as needed.

With the relaxing view of the beach, it's the perfect space to unwind! Leave your cares, pool towels, and other amenities behind. Our kitchen comes fully stocked with dishes and appliances.
A generous amount of pool towels are provided and can be exchanged at the front desk as often as needed to enjoy the on-site heated pool and hot tub. Other onsite amenities for your enjoyment include tennis and pickle ball courts, shuffleboard, horseshoes, picnic grills, and hammocks.

Situated on the east end of the island, our beachfront condominium enjoys easy access to the Seawall and historical district’s parks, shopping, museums, trendy cafes, and cultural hotspots, making your stay as comfortable and customizable as you desire. There are no meters or other hassles of street parking here as parking is in a designated lot on the north side of the building, with other overflow parking available if needed.
