We arrived into Colombo around midnight and our transfer driver was waiting to take us to vila diva as we had arranged which was included in the rate for our stay. The next morning we were transported very promptly back to the airport for a small fee. Both the room and transport car were exceptionally clean. I would highly recommend vila diva transit hotel for quality, service, location and friendliness"

"My highlight was meeting the owner and his wife. So knowledgeable about many things. It was a delight to talk to them and learn about the culture. This is a small hotel but it was really well kept up and very clean. The bathroom was great - a kitchen to make coffee and tea and a small breakfast if you wanted it. Not many restaurants nearby, but one that is an 8 minute walk. I chose to eat there several times (named "Coffee Boss"). Great selection of cafe drinks and a great menu of food. ...

"I had read some not so great reviews before leaving however I found Amora Lagoon a lovely hotel. It is a hotel in another country so things aren’t always going to be exactly what you expect from a local hotel however I found it quite pleasant. The staff were friendly and helpful, the pool was clean and beautiful, the room clean and comfortable with air conditioning and only a few minutes drive to the airport. The shower pressure in two of the three rooms we stayed in was not fantastic but again...

There were some miscommunications and after hours of search for the place (no signs) we ended up finding another dodgy hotel at 2:30am. We worked it out in the am that we would stay at the place the night before we fly out. It took a long time to find the place. It's not really close to anything. "This hotel in an inexpensive option close to the airport. My (long) flight arrived very late evening and all I needed was a nearby location to catch up on sleep. Taxi was organized. It suited my needs well. Would not do so if you're fussy and willing to pay more. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was worthy of any five star hotel."
