"Beautiful hotel with wonderful views and lots of excellent thoughtful little extras. The bed room was delightful with every facility you could wish for. Extensive choice for breakfast and we very much enjoyed our Indian meal in the evening. Thoroughly recommend this hotel "

"Bedroom and bathroom were clean! Beds weee extremely comfortable! Sitting room was an added bonus! Steve and Diane were wonderful hosts and made us feel very welcome. The eggs Benedict for breakfast was excellent. Overall, a lovely guest house with a few added, hidden touches to be experienced. A hidden gem that was a delight to experience. "

"The Lovat at Loch Ness is a charming and stylish lakeside hotel. The property has two lovely lounges, even a grand piano, and is equipped with an elevator — a thoughtful touch. Our room was spacious, bright, and very comfortable. Breakfast was a highlight: besides the classic Highland Breakfast, we tried the Kedgeree (smoked haddock with curried rice and poached egg), which was absolutely delicious and a wonderful Scottish surprise. The hotel’s location in Fort Augustus adds to the experience....

"This was our favorite overnight stop during our recent trip to Scotland. The location is beautiful, peaceful and quiet and is the perfect place to stay for making day trips to visit all the sights in the Highlands. Our hosts were friendly and made us feel welcome, and our breakfast was perfect -- the best breakfast we had in Scotland. We hope to visit again someday. "

"Große, neu ausgestattete Zimmer, Gemeinschaftsraum mit Küche ( Wasserkocher, Kaffeemaschine, Kühlschrank, Mikrowelle, Geschirr) um sich abends selbst zu versorgen. Die Räume sind alle sehr geräumig und großzügig eingerichtet. Im Gemeinschaftsraum gibt es mehrere Sofas und Sitzecken, sowie einen großen Esstisch. "We stayed while walking the Great Glen Way, and it is right on the route. It is a large friendly hostel. Our room had two sets of very comfortable bunk beds. "

"It is a great property but don’t arrive late because there is not much communication until you arrive at the property. We arrived 3pm and you pick up keys at the coffee shop that closes arround 5:30. As long you get there early you won’t have a problem. Otherwise, the property is great! Very clean and spacious. One of the nicest place we have booked. "

"This used to be a hunting lodge so it looks exactly like a lodge, with lots of wood. It is by the loch with a magnificent view from the restaurant terrace. Unfortunately no lift to go upstairs so it was a bit difficult for my wife. The restaurant food was good but seemed pre-prepared so they can’t adjust the dishes.
