"Beautiful property and landscaping. Really kind staff, hard-working, but slow service. Which is fine if you are up for a long relaxed meal. Probably a little understaffed.. Everyone worked very hard. Room was very nice but a little dated the bed was slightly soft for my comfort but very rich and historic site. "

"Hotel is part of the Westherby services so easy access & free parking - breakfast was included also, hot and cold choices - roomy and very comfortable for what I would say Is a short stay hotel - very good. "

"Welcome drink on arrival... Still waiting for it! Raised issues with staff that were handled professionally but could have easily been avoided. Buffet style breakfast with choice of additional cooked to order dishes and continental options 5*. The surroundings were breathtaking. Would recommend as peaceful retreat for all to stay and enjoy local area with much to see and do. 10/10 to cocktail maker Alex."

"The room was great and the host had great communication with us and made the checking in and out very easy. There are nice walking spots nearby and the village overall is very lovely. Overall the stay was absolutely incredible, will stay again if in the area."

"On arrival we were greeted by lovely staff at reception. The rooms are clean and presentable with welcome cookies and drinks in the mini fridge. The bed was really comfy with a nice duvet. Location is fantastic. Would highly recommend. "

"Superb property in Church Fenton. Perfectly situated for trips to York, Leeds and other places in Yorkshire. The property itself was high quality and thoughtfully appointed. Will definitely be back to stay, highly recommended."

"Excellent location near the station and convenient for city centre shops and businesses. Very quiet considering the central location. "

"Great service as always. We dine here and have drinks quite often however this time it was for my birthday. Receptionist was kind enough to offer early check (at a cost) which is fine as it was nearly 3 hours before the usual check in, so that the room could be decorated. Room was clean and spacious, again room service staff were excellent. "

"Really nice reception staff and made us feel welcome and was really nice to us as we stayed there because my daughter had an operation and needed to rest after and they made sure we had everything we needed and one of them even offered to fill her hot water bottle for her stomach. So thank u. The rooms are small but u dont need much when it's just for a rest spot for a few days. Thanks again to the staff and making sure my daughter had everything she needed. Much appreciated."
