Unbeatable rental

Absolutely lovely and updated old home. Tons of room to spread out. Large gathering spaces. Huge bedrooms. Great location. Responsive hosts. We enjoyed it so much last year that this was a return visit for us.

Great location with lots of space

We booked this property with a group of 12 people and it could not have been more perfect. There is so much space and the location was great! The hosts were very responsive and everything was very clean. I would definitely stay here with a large group again!

Above and Beyond Hosts - Galena VRBO

Our VRBO hosts went “Above and Beyond” from check-in to check-out to make sure our group of six women’s needs were met. The two-suite property is clean, spacious and extremely well-located to Main Street in Galena. While we were there, we had a few weather-related incidents and this husband and wife team(Alex and Alicia) went to great lengths to make sure all six of us were comfortable, even going as far as reaching out to present alternative ground floor arrangements during a predicted, 100 mile per hour wind storm that, fortunately, never materialized. I’ve stayed in other types of lodging before and have never before dealt with such responsive and friendly hosts. Hats off to our Hosts and their property!!

This place is really wonderful. Clean , comfortable, seems brand new. We are a group of 70 year olds getting together for a family reunion. Not a single complaint. Book it!

Fantastic Place

Wonderful home with all kinds of space for large groups. We had 8 retired women with all but 2 having their own bedroom. Great having 4 bathrooms with all those women. Everything was very clean. Large DR table to accommodate the group playing games. Can’t say I noticed how the kitchen was outfitted cause we ate out…lots of wonderful eating places within walking distance as was all the great shopping. Only issue was the number of steps necessary to get downtown were a little difficult for a few of the ladies. Host was instantly responsive when a lightbulb went out. Checkout process was very easy. Would definitely stay here again.

Excellent stay in Galena

We had a large group at this property for two nights and we could not have asked for a better stay. The property was very clean, modern, spacious, and centrally located just behind Main Street. The owners were responsive and welcoming, even accommodating a slightly early check-in once the property had been cleaned from the previous stay. We would highly recommend staying at this property!

Great Time in Galena

Great experience, great hosts, great location. Clean and organized. Safe and very well decorated with great amenities. Highly recommend this property to stay out if going to Galena for multiple days. Price was very fair and great value for what is included. Actually run out of words for how great it is. Only area to watch for parking can be a little tricky at times to find because it is on a one way street. But our hosts were very upfront about this, honest and gave helpful tips to get around the issue. Will definitely try and book a stay here again if possible.

Some recommendations.

We loved staying here and thought everything was beautiful and so comfortable. We had a couple of minor recommendations…mirrors in all of the bedrooms would be nice. Also, it would be nice to have a shelf in the shower for shampoos and soaps, as well as hooks in the bathrooms. Bath mats outside of the shower and also some anti slip strips in the shower. Thanks for your quick responses to our questions.

50th Birthday Celebration

There were 15 ladies in our group celebrating two 50th birthdays. This house was absolutely beautiful and perfect for our group. It was beautifully decorated and the overall space was magnificent! Also, the location was perfect! Everyone had a great time and we will definitely be returning!

Best Bach Party!

This house was AMAZING! We stayed for 2 nights and it was absolutely perfect! The house looks exactly like the photos and it did not disappoint! Alex and Alicia were super understanding and even communicated with my husband when I was having phone issues. This house helped make our trip perfect and we will definitely be back!

Great town Great place

My family and I stayed at this absolutely beautiful 2 story property right in the middle of the old downtown area of Galena in June. We had so much room with both units. It was immaculate with everything you could possibly need. The town was right there and the stores, restaurants and bars just steps away. Speaking of steps, Galena is hilly and there are many stairs outside and inside (if you rent both units) so be aware. But we loved it. We have stayed in many VRBO properties since 2009 and my 16 year old granddaughter told me this was her favorite! We will return. Do not hesitate to book. The owners are lovely and so is this town.

there were ten of us for a family girls weekend--all ten were very complimentary of the house---even better than it looks in pictures---location wonderful--beautifully decorated house---beds very comfortable---we did not cook. but a gourmet meal could be prepared in the well stocked kitchen---we go on trips every year and these were our best accommodations ever !!!thank you so much

Mom's 80th Birthday Getaway

The Two Story Suite provided beautiful accomodations for our group of 11. We were in town to celebrate my mom's 80th birthday with her daughters and grand daughters. The location was just perfect and the suite was super clean! The layout of the suite was ideal for gathering as a group for late night games and drinks before dining. The managers provided all the information needed and were an email away with prompt response anytime a question came up. Thank you for the awesome suite!
