"Far beyond what we anticipated. Warmly greeted and show to our room. Top line toiletries and added touches. Yes our room was small but well appointed and we did not plan to spend much time in the room. Wine and cheese at 5:30. 3-course breakfast at 8:30 am. Amazing! Will be back!"

"My wife and I traveled to Galena to celebrate our 4th wedding anniversary. The weather was perfect for spending a few days there, and the Steamboat House was ideal, thanks to its location, aesthetics, and amenities. We both have gluten allergies, and while I forgot to mention this in our reservation, Carol, the innkeeper, was incredibly helpful in providing gluten-friendly breakfast options, which made our stay feel even more special. The house was beautifully decorated with a fall and Halloween...

"This is a perfect home away from home with all the essentials you might need for your stay! The host is amazing and is just a text away if you need anything. It is in a great location and was super clean and great for our party of 6 and fun to host a bachelorette trip in this place! The amenities that come with staying here like the pool, fitness, activities, and more are bound to have something for everyone! I would recommend this to everyone and will definitely be back when I visit Galena!"

"The room was very clean, the bed was comfortable. The couch was not very comfortable. The fireplace is not really a fireplace. The restaurant wouldn’t seat us the evening we checked in. They said they were too busy, but most of the tables were open and there was a band playing. They said we could order takeout. Very strange."

"Property was great for our getaway. Loved sitting on deck looking at the beautiful view. Nice to be able to use clubhouse and all their amenities. Pool was fantastic."

"You can't find a better location if you want to be in the heart of downtown Galena for a reasonable price. The air conditioning is a window unit in the front room, but the host provides plenty of fans. There are two bedrooms, but the first has cut-outs in the upper walls, and the second doesn't have a door right now, so privacy is limited. The living/dining area is very spacious and comfortable."
