CASA COLIBRI : A Charming, Central, 3-Bedroom Historic Home In Peaceful Galatina
Casa Colibri - Where You Create Your Home Away From Home
Set in the historic heart of Galatina, our newly renovated home is steps from traditional Pugliese cuisine, the famous Ascalone bakery, and the baroque beauty of the Centro Storico. With a private garden and two dedicated office spaces, it’s perfect for remote workers and families seeking an authentic Italian experience — with both the Ionian and Adriatic Seas just a short drive away.
Historic Salento Home with Private Garden
Our cozified home reflects the layered beauty of southern Italy—where time slows, light softens, and daily life unfolds with quiet intention. Conceived and loved by an artist couple—a painter and a musician—the residence carries the sensibility of people who see and hear the world differently. Every detail, from the light to the layout, has been chosen with care.
Entering our home, you’re greeted by soaring star-vaulted ceilings—a hallmark of Salento architecture—rising above hand-laid patterned tile floors that carry the patina of decades. Natural light filters through traditional shutters, shifting throughout the day and casting gentle shadows across the room. The kitchen, newly updated, offers a clean and functional contrast to the historic bones of the home, inviting slow mornings and shared meals with local ingredients.
The home includes:
-A spacious primary bedroom with king bed -A second bedroom with queen bed and office workspace -A small office with a single bed, perfect for work or an extra guest -At its center, a private courtyard garden brings the outdoors in—an intimate space for coffee, reading, or evening wine under the open sky.
This is a home with history and soul, best suited for those looking to settle in, slow down, and experience southern Italy beyond the surface. Excellent for families, remote worker/couples, and those seeking a true Italian experience.
