Take a holiday in the heart of the city, in a nice and comfortable apartment, with everything you need for your rest.

With good areas and carefully decorated, this typical city apartment is located in a residential area of Funchal, close to services and other places sought by tourists.
With a living room with a modern style, it is ready to welcome you at the end of the day to relax with your company for this vacation. This property has two bedrooms; one with double bed and one with two single beds, giving a maximum capacity of 4 people throughout the house. The kitchen is fully equipped so you can have your meals together and with all the tranquility.
If you want to enjoy the good weather and good views, you can enjoy the balcony with a nice panorama of Funchal.

If you rent a car the property has a free parking space. Please note that the parking space is narrow and is more suitable for medium-sized or small vehicles.

THE NEIGHBORHOOD OVERVIEW
Situated in one of the most prestigious areas of Funchal, this flat is close to supermarkets, pharmacies, shops, bars, theatres and the Casino da Madeira.
Next to the Casino, you will find the stunning Santa Catarina Park, with large green areas for jogging, relaxing or picnicking overlooking the amazing bay of Funchal.
The location is ideal for exploring the city by foot (ten minutes walk from the cathedral, the marina and the city center) or by public transport (bus stop is within two minutes' walk).

GETTING AROUND
Although a aerobus bus stop for airport arrivals and departures is within five minutes' walk distance from the flat, we recommend the private transfer service as the best option to get there. Contact us in advance to schedule a private transfer car with our local partners. It is cheaper than taking a taxi on your own in the airport!

Guests have access to all areas of the flat.

OTHER OBSERVATIONS
- According to Portuguese law, all guests are required to present a valid ID. (E.g. passport, identity card).
- Check-in must be scheduled in advance. In case the check-in is not scheduled within a maximum of 48 hours prior to arrival, guests will be subject to the availability of our team.
- All bed linen and towels are provided. We can also provide a crib, a baby high chair and a baby bathtub if needed. First aid kit, fire extinguisher and fire blanket are available in all properties.

ATTENTION
Please be advised that a Tourist Fee will be charged to all persons staying overnight in the municipality of Funchal. Thus, all customers staying in tourist resorts and/or accommodation establishments, aged 13 or over, will be charged €2.00 per person/night, up to a maximum of 7 nights and a maximum of €14.00 per person/stay. When you arrive, you will receive a link to pay this municipal tax.

The apartment had a very good location – the access to the old town was perfect. There were also shops nearby, so it was easy to do groceries. It took about 15 minutes to walk and only 5 minutes by car. The apartment was well-equipped and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Overall, the stay was very pleasant, and I highly recommend this apartment and its location.

Excellent stay

Lovely balcony for watching the sunrise, walking distance to restaurants, shops. city center and parks. We found it easy to get around and the apartment had everything we needed. The booking process worked well and we were very satisfied with our stay.

Superb Funchal Apartment

This was our second stay at Ilhéus IV. We like the location which is not too far from the city center. The neighborhood is quiet in the evenings, close to some restaurants, and Santa Catarina Park is nearby. The apartment was spacious, and we enjoyed having a balcony to watch the weather toward the mountains as well as the sea. We would stay again!

Spacious modern apartment for a family within walking distance of central Funchal

A large and attractive apartment with two good sized bedrooms and two bathrooms, great dining space, well equipped kitchen and lovely balcony with partial sea view. Residential area close to the centre of Funchal. An easy walk into town (down the hill). More effort required on the way back up, but plenty of buses and taxis if required. Loads of nearby restaurants to choose from when eating out.

Lovely Apartment

We enjoyed our 2 week stay at Ilhéus IV. The accommodations were bright and spacious and accurately displayed in the photos. The kitchen was well-equipped and mattress/pillows were comfortable. There is a school across the street, so expect to hear children on the playground during the day. Nice balcony with sea view! We would definitely stay in this apartment again.

Great location and view

Although it can be a bit noisy, because there's a school right across the street and there's quite a lot dogs barking sometimes, it's still a great place to stay in Funchal, if you want to experience some local everyday life vibes and be in a walking distance to everywhere in Funchal. It was an ideal place to stay for active vacation and just live for some weeks and work remotely, had no problems with Internet connection and there's also a big desk. When I return, this place would be my first option. :) *The view: From the balcony the view towards the ocean and over town is great. Really enjoyed the sunrise and getting some morning sun on the balcony. At least in October and November it was possible to see the exact moment of sunrise, if there weren't any clouds hiding it. *Location: Few minutes walking takes you down to the busy main street and there's already a lot of restaurants, cafes and beautiful Santa Catarina park. From there you can either take a bus or easily walk to Funchal central area or to Lido area. Closest decent supermarket is in the La Vie shopping center, in about 10-15 minutes walking distance. *Apartment itself has a good planning and there is a lot of space. It's not the most modern, but everything looks clean and tidy and there is everything you might need (just no dishwasher in the kitchen.) Also there's underground parking space reserved and the location is very easily accessible by car.
