Charming with scope for improvement

Room was spacious. Too many ants in the bathroom some of whom manage to enter the room. Staff are very sweet but inexperienced and lack coordination between themselves. We thoroughly enjoyed the beach view and swimming in the lagoon and saw many fish crabs. The trips are reasonably priced however we suggest that more information on what to take with you is given to future guests.

Your ideal island getaway

I was greeted on the pier as I exited the boat. I received a quick tour of the island as we approached the guest house. A glass if fresh squeezed passion fruit juice was handed me as I was signed in. My room was on the bottom floor, as I entered the fully air conditioned room, I was shown the lights, remotes and bathroom. I immediately grabbed my mask and fins, and walked straight out to the lagoon. Absolutely beautiful! A drying rack is outside your room for your towels and bathing suits, and a hose to rinse your gear off. I then took a quick nap, woke up and had dinner. Fresh tuna, soup, rice, vegetables. Delicious! My favorite place out of the four islands I visited.

Perfect

Perfect stay. Island is a gem and hotel has everything to make the holiday nice and relaxing. Great location for snorkeling (best reef is just outside the hotel). We had superior room right on the beach and it was just amazing. We had our dinners st hotel and were quite satisfied. Hope to be back!

Goed guesthouse op toplocatie, aan het water

Wij hebben 8 dagen in Thundi guesthouse overnacht en dat is ons heel goed bevallen. De service was prima. De keus voor het eten was vrij beperkt maar het werd wel heel goed klaargemaakt en voor de afwisseling gingen we af en toe naar een ander restaurant op het eiland. We konden er prima snorkelen (ook direct bij het guesthouse), duiken en deelnemen aan excursies die via het guesthouse geboekt kunnen worden. Ook de transfer van/naar het vliegveld konden wij via het guesthouse regelen. Fulidhoo is een klein, rustig eiland. Wel worden er veel nieuwe guesthouses bijgebouwd en wij vragen ons af of de voorzieningen daar op termijn op berekend zullen zijn en of de sfeer er niet erg door zal veranderen.

Nice Guesthouse in a wonderful island

Wonderful stay at Thundi Guest House!

We had the most amazing stay at Thundi Guest House! The staff really made an effort to make us feel welcome and they made sure we had a memorable time at Fulidhoo. Living at at Thundi Guest House actually felt more like visiting a friend than staying at a hotel since everyone is so friendly and warm-hearted. The room was very nice and comfortable and the food they served was delicious. The guest house is quiet and neatly located just by the ocean. A short walk away is the most beautiful beach we have ever seen! We truly recommend a visit to Fulidhoo and Thundi Guest House and we will definitely come back ourselves.

En vecka i paradiset

Vi tog oss en tur till Maldiverna och hamnade tillslut på Thundi Guest House. Ön var supermysig - lugn och fridfull - allt vi behövde. Personalen på hotellet var utöver vanligt gästfria, och hjälpte oss massa med info och gjorde allt för att se till att vi skulle ha en fantastisk vistelse hos dem. Vi kommer tillbaka! :)

superbe endroit

nous avons été très bien accueillies. le personnel est très sympa et le cuisinier est un CHEF !!! la description correspond parfaitement à l'endroit. la guest house est près de la bikini beach qui est superbe. le jardin de la guest house est fort agréable. rien à redire à part "j'y retourne quand!!!"

Guest House ist eben nicht Hotel!

Die abgebildeten Fotos lassen doch einen gewissen Komfort erahnen, doch der ist weit gefehlt. Der vereinbarte Transfer vom Flugahfen sah am Ende so aus, dass wir statt 1 Stunde direkt mit dem Speedboot einen 6 Stunden Transfer hinter uns hatten. Auf fragwürdigen Booten durch die Nacht bis wir schließlich irgendwann auf der Insel ankamen. (gelandet in Malé 16 Uhr - im Hotel 22:00 Uhr - eigentliche Entfernung 60 min. mit Speedboat) Nach der Ankunft wurde uns Toast angeboten.. Leider war uns vom Geruch der 15 Benzinkanister auf unserem Speedboat (1 Stunde Fahrt) so schlecht dass wir nichts herunter bekamen und ich mich auch später noch übergeben musste. Es gibt nur einen Strand an den man in Badesachen gehen kann. Auf dem Weg dahin sollte man sich aber entsprechend verhüllen, da die Einheimischen nicht an freizügige nicht muslimische Touristen gewöhnt sind. Aber: der Strad ist traumhaft! Wie aus dem Fotoalbum. Keine Leute, weißer Sand, kristallklares Wasser! Es gibt auf der Insel einen kleinen Shop. Man ist Selbstversorger - das Thundi Guest House kümmert sich zwar, aber alles gegen ordentliche Bezahlung. Man könnte sich Ausflüge buchen, aber die sind wesentlich teurer als (auch durch die Abgelegneheit der Insel geschuldet) als z.B. auf Maafushi (touristisch besser erschlossen) Alles in allem sehr unglücklich gelaufen. Wir haben nach 2 Tagen die Insel verlassen und auf Maafushi im Arena Beach Hotel einen Traumurlaub verbracht. Ende gut alles gut!

Great guesthouse in paradise

Everything was great. The room was just like the pics, large and airy. The open air bathroom was phenomenonal. The bed was super comfortable. The wifi was strong. Halil was a great caretaker. Met me at the pier, a great cook, and showed me the island. He has a good sense of people, and knows when people want company, and when they just want to relax alone. He even baked me a surprise birthday cake! The property is on the rocky side, with lots of tide pools and quiet beach coves. But its a short walk to bikini beach or the pier. Fulidhoo is a quiet island, not touristy. The islanders were friendly and wecoming. Will definitely be back. FYI: no bank or atm, so plan ahead. See you all again soon.

Get to know local Maldivian life

It's a great place if you want to get to know Maldivian life on a small paradise island, the staff (and people generally) are very nice and friendly and trying to fulfill your wishes as best as they can. The guest house is basic and cozy. You can snorkel the riffs directly starting off the beach in front of the guest house. There is a very close beach where women can wear bikinis. At the rest of the beaches bikinis aren't allowed (like on all local Maldivian islands that aren't used exclusively for tourists), but women can swim in swim shirt and shorts.The sun is very strong, so that swim shirts are generally a good option.

A slice of paradise

We had a great stay at Thundi Guest house and I really cannot thank the staff enough - they were friendly and attentive throughout our time there. They have a lot of information about the Maldives and are happy to help. Our room was great, clean with minimalist decor and high ceilings. My favourite part was the outdoor bathroom, it was a great touch. The breakfast was very tasty and you were given a choice between continental and Maldivian. Fulidhoo is a very small with only a couple of restaurants, there is a bikini beach on one side of the island which is very picturesque, it's a great place for a relaxing trip.

Perfect place for a getaway!

Fulidhoo as an island is very small and cute. There is nothing that works with gasoline, so no traffic at all. There is nothing that can harm you on the island unless you get a coconut in your head! There is really nothing to do except for sleeping, eating, sunbathing and swimming but that`s the point! You can focus on relaxing and forget the time. You hardly see any other tourists, so it almost feels like a private island :) Just make sure that before you book any flights or accommodation that the ferry schedule fits your plans. Ferry doesn't go every day, and we highly recommend avoiding busy and traffic-filled Male. In Thundi guest house we had excellent service and our host always made sure everything was okay. He was very helpful with everything. We had a full-board, so our excellent cook made us three delicious meals everyday, whenever we wanted! We absolutely loved the food, and especially the local breakfast, we suggest you choose that over continental! Rooms were excellent, spacious and exactly like in the pictures. They were cleaned everyday, and towels (bath+beach) were changed when needed. AC and Wifi worked well all the way through. The guest house has it's own beach (no bikini area), so it's only 20 meters from your doorstep to the ocean and you can hear the calming waves in your room. Perfect as any. They also offer some excursions like snorkling and fishing. We can't recommend enough. It's just a matter of time that we go again!

OK , men sol och bad på annan ö.

Mycket besvikna på möjligheterna till att bada och sola på ön, (om man är kvinna) Mycket skräpig ö. Personalen på Gesthuset var mycket trevliga och hjälpsamma men det hjälpte inte när båten för utflykter var trasig. För övrigt vacker ö och man bor nära lokalbefolkningen. Maten var god;)

Excellent Stay

We had a very pleasant stay at Thundi Guest House. Mohammed is an amazing cook! He prepared such fantastic meals for us and made sure that everything was set on time. Also, the room we had was very comfortable. The only thing that needed improvement was the low water pressure in the shower as well as the lack of ventilation in the bathroom which made the entire bathroom smell very damp. I would highly recommend Thundi Guest House to anyone visiting Fulidhoo. Their staff goes the extra mile to accommodate to your needs and assist as and when necessary. We took the full board accommodation hence had all our meals sorted out. How convenient! Plus Mohammed would make whatever you ask! We left feeling very satisfied with Thundi and it was worth the 3.5 hours ferry ride to Fulidhoo.

Relaxing guest house without any fuzz. Clean and specious Rooma with good food.

A bit spartan, everything to rest. Private beach

Private beach bikini, hot water showers, they changing towels and even the basis of pillows, if you ask. Minor repairing damage on the same day. It is very difficult to be a vegetarian or haven't got eat the food scalding mouth. Fruits and cuisine are highly dependent on the time and the supplies of cargo ships. Come with your children is not recommended.
