"Wonderful historic building that was once a girl's boarding school. Very quiet location with great walking areas on the property. Very friendly and helpful staff. Delicious chocolates also made on the property. Would highly recommend. "

"The door was broken with a screw hanging out of the door handle which is asking for injury. When we first got there they said the key was in the door which isn’t very safe, then next minute they have lost the key and it takes them 10-15 to find us a key while we just stand around and wait. We go upstairs see the door handle and it’s literally a box with a bed in it. The bathroom had a dead fly in the shower. Wanted a full refund but only got half even through we did not stay there. DO NOT...

"One of a kind stay in this historic location and building. The lounge area with its lovely big open fire and wooden beams is awesome. Restaurant meals delicious and staff friendly and everything is no hassle."

"The bed was rock hard and the shower dribbled out. The room was clean and tidy and it was evident that they are trying to upgrade the facilites. "

"The room was spacious, with good light coming in. The bathroom was also generously big and very clean. It had an electric hot plate/stove and came with cups, plates, silverware, and microwave. Parking is on the property. The property itself is close to the beach and main attractions of the town. It is a great value place. "

"Room and kitchen were clean and room accomdated 4 people comfortably. Parking was tight but adequate. Joy contacted us around 6:00 pm to find out our ETA and arranged a late arrival by leaving the key in a lockbox which was very helpful. Would recommend this property. "

"Convenient location and comfortable and well appointed room - perfect for our one night stay in Oamaru. Easy parking and ground floor room made access very easy. Would not hesitate to recommend to other travellers. We didn’t use the on site restaurant or bar facilities so can’t comment on that."
