Waterfront house with pool, W/D, private hot tub, & AC

  • Sound-front Wind Therapy is a hit. There is something special about the winding road through the oak and bay trees of the Indian Town Shores subdivision. 1,710-square-foot Wind Therapy shares a bit of a natural shoreline at the beginning of the expansive Pamlico Sound. The sound-front views of water, wetlands, wildlife, and the stars are extraordinary. Wind Therapy is a watersports mecca. Whether you want to surf, paddle, or fish, there is always something to get excited about. Wind Therapy has a park grill and a large outdoor shower for gear and guests. Wind Therapy has some of our favorite fully-furnished sundecks that wrap around the waterfront side of the house and include a split level down to the sound. The hot tub on the upper deck offers excellent views and easy access to the interior.

    The entry at the first level places guests in the heart of the action. Clean tile floors span the kitchen, dining, bath, and living surfaces. Water views cover every inch of exciting Wind Therapy. A comfy sectional sofa completes the living area, including an extra-large LED Roku-enabled TV and DVD player. The kitchen has stainless steel appliances, a custom wood breakfast bar with good seating, and ample countertop space. The dining area is close by for easy access. Your dinner guests will love dining against a marvelous sunset. A washer/dryer adds convenience.

    All bedrooms have new luxury vinyl plank flooring and Roku TVs. The upstairs bonus room has vinyl plank flooring, tall ceilings, a Roku TV, and a full bathroom. The waterfront game room has comfortable seating, vinyl plank flooring, foosball, and postcard-worthy views.

    Check-in time: 4:00 p.m.
    Check-out time: 10:00 a.m.
    Streaming services are available with guests' own accounts.
    All guests shall abide by the good neighbor policy and shall not engage in illegal activity. Quiet hours are from 10:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m.
    No smoking is permitted anywhere on the premises.
    Guests have access to the Club Hatteras Pool Facility. Additional details about this facility will be shared in your check-in email and during check-in. The club is typically open from mid-May to mid-October, depending on the weather.
    You will be required to sign an additional lease agreement upon making a booking, which will be sent to your email. You will not be able to check in until we receive your signature electronically. Please contact us directly if you do not receive this agreement.

The Views!!!

This home has some of the best views on the island! The sunsets every night are absolutely spectacular. The egrets hang out right off the back deck and are such a joy to watch. We enjoyed paddle boarding regularly and exploring the habitat of the sound. The space in the home is wonderful and comfortably fit 4 adults, 3 children and our dog. The kitchen is well stocked and we were able to cook our daily meals with ease. We will absolutely return to Wind Therapy again!

Wind Therapy is an EXCELLENT vacation rental

My family found this home very clean and extremely comfortable! The view off of the decks and water access was a delight! We enjoyed watching the sunset everyday as well! All appliances (dishwasher, washer/dryer, stove/microwave, refrigerator, and A/C unit functioned exactly how they should. We loved our stay here and would definitely visit again!

My family absolutely loved staying in this beautiful home on the sound. This home had everything you would need- so many kitchen supplies, tvs in every room, and extra blankets in all of the bedrooms. The mattresses were really comfortable too! The location was just perfect. The 3 level deck made sitting out on the water a dream. I will definitely be renting this place again!

Awesome vacation home

This is our second year in a row at Wind Therapy! We love the home and the views over the sound at sunset are spectacular! The home is well kept after and feels like home. We noticed a few upgrades this year that we liked.

A little slice of heaven

This cottage is one of the best kept secrets on the island. From the location to the amenities to the little touches from the owners themselves, you will truly love every moment spent at Wind Therapy. Located on a quiet residential street, the sound is quite literally your backyard. The multi-leveled deck offers amazing views and beautiful sunsets. The cottage itself is well appointed and the kitchen has everything you could possibly need. This is our favorite place to stay on Hatteras Island. You won’t be disappointed.

A Stay on the Sound

The home had a wonderful view of Pamlico sound. The decks provided a great place to sit and enjoy the view. We also fished and caught fish from the deck. The house does not have a fish cleaning station so taking care of the fish was a hassle. Parking feels limited but we managed to get three cars in and out without much trouble.

Fantastic pet-friendly vacation home!

This was our first stay at Wind Therapy and we absolutely loved it! The sound views, especially the sunsets, were wonderful. Water access for launching kayaks was easy. Our yellow lab, Ranger, had fun in the water there and at the beach. His first visit to OBX. The house was comfortable and clean. A few minor maintenance issues were taken care of quickly the the Vacasa staff. The kitchen has everything you need for preparing the fresh local seafood. The handheld shower head in the upstairs bathroom was much appreciated as rentals usually don't have them, in my experience. The neighborhood was quiet and people were friendly. Ranger enjoyed his walks and made new friends. Hopefully, we'll be back.

Practically Perfect

My family and I loved this house. Great views, great location, lots of seating, and a pretty quiet road (to walk the dogs on). The only thing it lacked was some shade on the back deck. It was a very, very hot week and the sun was brutal back there. For the first few days we did not really use the deck. Then one of us bought one of those pop open canopy things from Wings and set it up. Then we were able to enjoy the deck in the afternoons. The hot tub was fairly new and all the buttons and jets still worked (which is rare in our over 10 year OBX renting experience). Loved our visit to this house and might rent it again if it is available (and still dog-friendly).

Nice location, could use some updating

First, I will say, this truly is a "Wind Therapy" home! It is windy 95% of the time because of the consistent N/NE winds the islands get. Once it got over around 10MPH, using the deck became difficult. With that said, the house was nice and very well located. Not a far drive from any beaches and being on the water was amazing. Really only had two big complaints. The first was the home was not very clean when we checked in (grant it we got early check in, but it seemed like the floor wasn't even vacuumed). Second, the home could use a little updating - namely with the downstairs floor and the deck out back (splinter heaven). All in all though, it was a great trip and this house had everything we needed to enjoy our stay!

Wonderful home!

We loved the location of the home and the view! However, the local VACASA support was terrible. We arrived on a Sunday and noticed right away that the cable in the home did not work. I called the VACASA number right away and was told that someone would return my call from the local office that day. I called every day after and never received a response and the cable never worked. Thankfully, we love the beach and were there all day. However, after a long day at the beach, we wanted to be able to relax and watch a show. The remotes were all mixed up and didn’t work properly either. The lack of response and follow up was unacceptable. I’m sure that the owners had no idea that this happened and this is no reflection of them other then to bring this to their attention about our terrible experience and to fix for future guests.
