262 Deer Run is a newly renovated 3 bedroom, 2 bath home offering bonus features such as a roof top deck, a sunroom & a screened porch. The home just went through a major renovation and is newly decorated. This home has lovely views of a pond and the inlet looking toward Hunting Island. The den, dining, kitchen & sunroom have an open concept design. Bedroom 1 located on the main floor offers twin beds & a flat screen TV. The full bath in the hall is convenient to this room and serves as a powder room convenient to the social areas. This bathroom is also attached to Bedroom 2 through a second door. Bedroom 2 offers a queen bed & a flat screen TV along with the attached bath. Bedroom 3 is a loft room located upstairs. This bedroom offers a queen bed, an attached private bath & a flat screen TV. There is a sliding door attached to this room that leads to the small deck on this floor and additional steps to the roof top deck. The small deck & roof top deck are also accessible through a door beside Bedroom 3.

Great Vacation

This is our second time staying in the Deer Lake property and it was wonderful. The house is very clean and spacious and the views of the inlet are beautiful. It is definitely our favorite place to stay in Fripp!

Excellent choice!

The place was clean and comfortable!!! We enjoyed watching the alligators swimming in the pond! Great location...quiet and private, yet just a quick golf cart ride to the beach!!! Will definitely rent again!

Family Vacation

My family enjoyed this home very much. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes and pots and pans. The bath towels were a little thin, but were easy to dry. The roof top deck was great and provided a beautiful view. We also enjoy the pool in the Deer Lake neighborhood. This was our 9 th family trip to Fripp Island and as always we love the beach and the slower pace of life.

Wonderful House

We really enjoyed staying at this property. The house was very clean and updated. Also the views were incredible!! The property also was in a quiet area of the island that had a great yard in the back for the kids. We definitely want to rent this house again!

We loved this house! It was on a very quiet street, the house was huge! We loved all of the furniture in the house and the big windows! This was our favorite place to stay at Fripp yet, the only downside about this house is that it doesn’t have amenity cards! Would definitely recommend this house to a friend!

With ALOT of changes, could be 5 star rating

The location is great. My favorite part was the window room and watched the wildlife (deer, birds, and alligators). The rooftop deck is also very nice. The kitchen is well stocked with pots, pans and utensils. After that, cleanliness is a major issue. They want you to inspect for cleanliness prior to getting moved in, which we did. But the issues that you discover are the kind you don’t necessarily see on a quick walk through. And, you don’t want to have to not start your vacation when you get there to have someone come clean your rental that should be ready after 4 pm. It was obvious that the floors had not been cleaned; there was a spilled area that was dirty in the sunroom, used toothpicks in the screened room. Drink rings on the coffee tables and kitchen counters. These are simple things that you would expect to be cleaned after another renter. Dust was prevalent everywhere, on the counters, ceiling fans, TVs. The laundry area was filthy and we had to clean the dryer of all the lint in the container and the door before even using it. While checking out and making sure we didn’t leave anything, we found someone else’s underwear under the bed we had been sleeping in all week! I know a rental isn’t going to be as clean as your own home but when you have to wash the dishes before you use them because they have food stuck to them, that’s ridiculous. The linens and towels/washcloths desperately need to be replaced. The towels were paper thin and with paint or other stains on them. The bath washcloths were in the same or even kitchen dishcloths. While stripping the beds, it was disgusting to see the shape of the pillows we had been sleeping on (stains and just old looking). These are small things that make a stay away from home much more comfortable. The owners, managers, housekeepers should be thinking a little more about how they would feel if this was their family saving all year for your vacation and don’t have a clean space to feel comfortable in. Also, the floor in the dining area feels spongy like it’s about to fall in. Updating/upgrading is one thing but you shouldn’t present a home as nice as you do in the pictures and charge the money you do for a space that clearly needs a lot of work. The golf cart that was provided was a plus to us in the reservation and did what we needed it to do but it was very old, rusty and could have been much nicer. We enjoyed our time at Fripp but was disappointed in this rental. Would not rent from them again

Quick Family Getaway

Great, clean, quiet home close to the entrance of Fripp Island. It took my wife and two boys (8 and 10) here for a long weekend. Mornings were spent looking out the floor to ceiling windows and alligator spotting in the pond. We were successful every day. The included golf cart gets you to the beach in 4-5 minutes where there is tons of golf cart parking. I would suggest stopping at the Walmart outside of town on the way in. There is no market/store on the island and it’s a solid 30 minute backtrack to get to Walmart (closest option). Overall, great place with clean rooms and has clearly been updated recently. I would absolutely stay here again.

House needs a lot of TLC

When a real review is given it should be on home not I love Fripp island. This house is in very poor condition, first, the floors are very spongy a hazard waiting to happen. Second, look at photo that is probably taken from far right window in sun room. There is a palm tree blocking the view of center Windows . Third,, windows are in very poor condition as being so bad several can not be hardly seen out of this includes patio door on second floor. Fourth, screens are torn some with tape over tear. Fifth, door at washer/dryer area does not close and dryer in poor condition with dryer lint, a fire hazard. Upon arrival was a plumbing issue, we were put up in another home for 3 days until repaired. When we were able to get in house it was filthy, floors dirty, dirt hanging from ceiling fans, items behind dryer, throw rugs in terrible condition, coffee maker in poor condition not cleaned in a long time. Pots and pans and utensils horrible, silverware rusty. BJ was very helpful in bringing us a new set of pots,pans,utensils and yes he witnessed dirt on windows and ceiling fan. We were told house could not be cleaned because water was off for 3 days, but floors could of been swept and windows cleaned without water. We followed a previous review of taking your own pillows, would recommend, plus we took our own bedding. This house you Do Not have option for amenity card to go to restaurants on island, need to go off island for restaurant. I would not recommend renting golf cart from WeSee Um, green carts, they are in poor condition. Carts can be rented on island. We stayed in this house from January 5th to March 16. Granted the roof top deck is nice but palm tree blocking sun room Windows needs trimmed badly. Location is nice expect to see a lot od deer, they don't bother you and yes there are alligators. We were looking for something much better according to pictures. Can guarantee people coming in after us are coming into a much cleaner house than we had. At time of renting was not told amenity cards were not available, as is now. Golf cart was not included as is now. The area is very dark at night, so if you are walking your dog have a good flashlight.

A beautiful location

I could have given this property 4 stars. But upon our arrival, there were some problems, which were handled promptly. I have stayed at Fripp since 1990. This home is lovely. But the bedding was thin- bring your own pillows- ( I had to wash the bedspreads because they weren’t fresh) and the bedrooms are minimal- a chest and a side table . The closet door was broken , which apparently had been reported, but never corrected. It almost fell on me as I was unpacking. I reported it , but was given another number to call. I didn’t, as I felt that it shouldn’t have been my problem. I took up the scatter rugs because they were slippery, and unwashed. The upholstery was threadbare in one chair. I had to ask for lightbulbs. Small things. But somewhat inconvenient. Do able. But... In addition, I had to pay HomeAway a fee, which didn’t apply to the cost of the rental. I had to pay an additional 80.00 fee to use a credit card to pay the balance on the rental. I wasn’t thrilled , but I had already scheduled my vacation by then and decided to forge ahead. The views are fabulous. And the top deck is a perfect to view the stars. The skies were majestic. I really like the neighborhood. Shady and visual, with many deer, birds and an occasional gator or two. The marsh view is beautiful. So , a few simple tweaks could greatly improve the home and the rental experience. I would definitely rent again , providing some of the afore mentioned ( albeit minor) issues were resolved in advance.

Great house!

We enjoyed our stay very much. We loved watching the alligators and deer from the sunroom. Perfect size house for four people. The view from the roof was beautiful! The property manager quickly answered any questions and had our rented golf cart waiting for us when we arrived. House was clean and comfy. We would definitely rent again!

Fripp Island is our Happy Place

We had an awesome week at Fripp Island...Would stay in this house again..spacious living area,sunroom with beautiful view of water..sundeck view ..The Deer Lake neighborhood is a great choice..Tip -rent bikes and golf carts as soon as you make your reservations . Robert was very helpful and quickly responded to all questions. BJ was friendly and helpful when he dropped off golf carts .Mark was great when reserving bikes.We will definitely be back.

The View was Excellent

View was excellent from the front common area. Also on top of the roof top deck especially at night was absolutely incredible viewing the starlit night. Very short walk to the neighborhood pool. Community was very friendly and saw deer every day...they will come up to you and eat out of your hand if you are brave enough.

Peaceful location with a wonderful view!

We enjoyed our stay at this home. The home was clean, comfortable and fully stocked with meal prep supplies in kitchen. Abundant sightings of deer from the home. Plan to rent a golf cart with this home for ease getting around Fripp. Beach access is minutes away. The rental agency (Bob) was receptive and responded immediately if we had a question.
