This cozy studio Suite is ideally located in the center of San Juan Island. Just a 10 minutes drive to Friday Harbor and Roche Harbor. Also just down the road is picturesque egg lake, which offers a great retreat for swimming and fishing.

Great place to enjoy the island.
The road has been fixed, I drive a 2020 Honda Fit and had no issues. The bed was super comfortable and we slept great. The shower was hot and the water pressure was amazing. My son and I needed a comfy crash pad to do all our fun island things and this place was great for that. If you want a coffee bar, or a fully stocked pantry, or a mint on your pillow this might not be the place for you. If you want to enjoy what's great about San Juan island this is it. Quiet, private and all you can see is trees.

It's ok.
Overall it was just ok. You get what you pay for. Property/Apartment was clean. Bathroom sink sprayed water everywhere. Front door was extremely difficult to unlock. You will hear every foot step from the apartment above.

Secret woods
My husband & I stayed here while attending a wedding on the island. It was perfect. It felt Quiet & out if the way but was actually close to everything we needed. The road up to the property is a bumpy ride but nothing our tiny Fiat couldn't handle. Also bonus heated floors in the bathroom! Loved it. Some aspects of the studio seem to be in the upgrading process. Overall I would definitely stay here again & recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet magical spot in the middle of the island.

The Studio
The unit is up a steep,rutted gravel road akin to a very bad Forest Service road. Owner says he's working on it... Outside is completely unkempt, weedy and overgrown. Door key didn't unlock door, which I tested before closing, so left it unlocked. Had trouble with phone connecting to WiFi so couldn't call owner. Television didn't work. Didn't know why bathroom floor was heated or how to turn it off. Shower floor is discolored, looking dirty. WHOLE unit needs some serious deep cleaning. Double pane windows have failed so many are cloudy. Screens aren't secure so critters can easily enter when windows are opened. One good feature: nice firm mattress but I would never rent the place again nor recommend it to anyone.

Has the Makings for a Charming Getaway
This home could be a lovely place to stay, however it needs a thorough top to bottom cleaning and some repair work. Perhaps it was vacant for some time prior to my arrival, but ... If you intend to use the kitchen you will need to provide absolutely everything as there are no basic items when you arrive. No salt and pepper, not a clean dish sponge or dishrag, no plastic wrap, foil or bags so plan to purchase anything and everything you might need as town is 5 miles or more away. Do yourself a huge favor and bring insect repellent! There is no place to sit outside but the mosquitos are like hovercraft if you plan to explore the property. WARNING regarding the driveway and street. It is a dirt & gravel road with extremely deep ruts and potholes so use care if you have a vehicle other than a truck or full-sized SUV. Having said all this, there are elements of charm and the views could be lovely if the windows were cleaned. It met my purpose of having a place to sleep and shower, but really poor ratings on cleanliness and upkeep.

Needs Refresh, not rental worthy yet
The property unfortunately had an inaccurate listing but the property manager was quick to respond and trying her best. My friend had to sleep in a foldable cot instead of a bed. The place was not clean (I stay in a lot of rentals and have been a super host on airnbnb myself so I have a wide range of experience to compare to), it needs a complete repainting, the windows are so dirty you can't see out of them, the internet gives speeds of about 1-2mbps or doesn't work half the time, and there is a pretty musty odor when you arrive. The location is pretty bizarre, with no yard and just stood up in the middle of a random property with a poorly maintained gravel driveway. This is not a property that should be rented before some major revisions are made and certainly overpriced. You can stay in a much nicer hotel/inn around town for the same price.

Ebiking San Juan Island
Off the beaten path a bit, the property worked fine as a home base to sleep, eat breakfast, take off for the day, come back for an evening shower and go to bed. We could hear people upstairs but not loud or disruptive. The road up to the studio is a bit steep and gravely but not a problem for our electric assist mountain bikes.
