Beautiful Place!

We enjoyed the Salty Poodle and were happy we could bring along our fur baby. The cottage had everything we needed and was decorated beautifully for Christmas!

Beach Fun

Everything was as described on the rental information. Mr. Owens was very responsive to all of our questions. The golf cart is a must, made getting around so easy. This was the perfect place for our end of summer get a way. Will return on our next visit to the area.

Cutest house by the sea

Such a quiet area. Not a lot of traffic. Very peaceful if you just need quiet time with just seagulls and ocean. Galveston is 30 mins away if you need action. Perfect relaxation spot.

Beach Getaway

Nice cottage walking distance to beach in a great neighborhood. Fully equipped inside, gas grill, and there’s a ton of beach gear available for use! Beach was clean and wasn’t crowded. If the golf cart is available I recommend renting it to ride around neighborhood and to beach.

Great Beach House!

Family friendly, very clean and comfortable! Owners included many extras that made this feel like our home away from home. Grandkids loved the swings at the house in addition to the beach.

Great Beach House

Lovely stay at Salty Poodle, great beach house, easy to get to the beach each day and a comfortable house. I’d recommend renting the golf kart so you can get about even quicker. Treasure Island is always fun for kite flying and sand castle building away from the crowds.

Great stay at Salty Poodle cottage

Best VRBO ever. The cottage was so clean and smelled good. Neil has thought of everything to make our stay wonderful. Beds were comfortable and the A/C worked great. The kitchen has plenty of pots and pans along with dishes. He also has a nice gift waiting for you, which we enjoyed. You can not go wrong renting this cottage. We will return soon.

Perfect Spot!

The house was Great!!! Everything you need was offered! A/c worked great! House was nice and chilly after a hot day at the beach! The wrap around porch was perfect! Sit in the front in the morning and sit in the back at night! Super close to the beach! Golf cart rental is a must! Super fun! Thank you so much! We will be back!

Everything about our stay was easy and convenient....exactly what you're looking for when staying at the beach. Communication with the property owner was very timely & friendly. All you need!

Loved this property. The neighborhood was great! Beach wasn’t over crowded and the home was stocked with anything we needed for an awesome time at the beach! Host was easy to work with and always responded timely. Would definitely recommend this home for families. Great memories made at the Salty Poodle!

Great first trip to Texas Coast

Awesome location and property. This was out first trip to the Texas coast and we will return. We had a welcome gift from the owners and they were very helpful with the questions leading up to and during our trip. Rent the gold cart, it was a nice to jump in and be on the beach in 5 minutes. If you like fishing, there are great places all around this house. All bedrooms are upstairs, which was not an issue and the kitchen had all you need. Make sure you have all your groceries, there are no stores in the immediate area. You cant go wrong here, I would send any of my friends or family to this house.

Wonderful!

Beautiful and comfortable home near the beach. Everything you need, and a golf cart available to rent as well! Will definitely return and recommend to friends! Owner stays in touch and was very helpful.

Fabulous!

We have rented properties more times than I can count in this neighborhood and this is my first review for two reasons: 1. This property was perfect and had anything and everything we could have possibly wanted including a golf cart to rent making trips to and from the gorgeous beach a piece of cake. The beds were very comfortable and the swing set for the kids was a very nice touch. The house is very nicely appointed without clutter which is much appreciated with smaller kids! 2. The owners were a dream to work with! We requested to reschedule due to an unforeseen conflict with a second Covid shot. They were so accommodating. Unfortunately the February snowstorm required another reschedule. Again no problems! Their communications were prompt, friendly and helpful. As I said we have rented many times and having someone so great to work with enhances the vacation experience. We have enough stress in our lives. We go on vacation to relax. This property’s owners get that and I for one I appreciated it. Will definitely rent this gem of a place again soon.
